Chapter 1252: To the Rescue!-1

Robyn saw his retreating back and sighed. She knew unless it was something important, he wouldn't just up and leave without giving her any explanation.

But at the same time, she was a little sad since this was the last day she could spare. There had been some pressure from her company this past week because of her always putting them on hold or ignoring them.

She didn't have a great relationship with her label mainly because, it never failed to disappoint at her lowest. Even when she was feeling rock bottom from the previous failed relationship which had turned abusive, they never cared about anything other than their money and asking her about her new album.

Now after whole year of grinding, she finally released the album which was trending music charts all over the world but they want her to keep making public appearances and do live shows to leverage this new fame but honestly she was burned out.

There was still a year left on her contract and she honestly debating whether to sign back with them or not but there was a lingering fear deep inside her heart as the people behind the label were not good people. Many of them had gang affiliation and some even control underground cities.

It could be a great risk for her to seperate which was putting her into a dilemma. She thought about discussing it with Samuel tonight but it seemed she could only keep it in her heart to wait for their next meeting.

Meanwhile, Samuel was sitting in the meeting room facing both his uncle and his team explaining to them why he needed their plane, the one that could remain undetected mainly used for their clandestine operations.

"So, let me get this straight. You recieved a cryptic text and your instinct is not to send people to investigate but to go there in person alone?" Daniel who thought the hectic week would be over with Green family's demise was confronted with another one of Samuel's antics.

"Boss, I also think this is a clear trap. Why don't we go there and check first? Drake knows the area well-"

"I need to go there and go there alone. This is way beyond your capabilities. You have seen how well versed they are in poison, nothing will be able to save you once you get dosed by them."

"What about you then? Doesn't that apply to you too?"

"Of course I have some counter measures, Talia told me about several ways to neutralize their poison. Beside, I have some experience dealing with them, so it's best I go there alone. Also, whoever sent me that message might freak out seeing so many people, I need to make contact first to know where they are holding her." Although his reasoning appeared sound but something felt wrong.

What's this antidote he was talking about, he told them everything about Vishkanya but never mentioned anything about antidote, if he did, they would have rushed to make more of it just for precaution.

"I know, I can't stop you. Even if I did, these rascals would somehow help you escape which would only make things difficult for me so no matter what you do just keep updating me. There is also the issue of hiding it from your family, this time I will not come between to mediate." Daniel flat out refused to deal with the mess.

These Rothschild were all stubborn to the bone and the one that always get a headache would be him because of their abrupt nature. How is he going to protect someone when they refuse to cooperate?

Samuel only smiled and nodded. He also asked Jane to keep track on all the family members of Green family, he would need a report after his return.

With that, the deal was sealed. He quickly departed heading straight for their private airport few kilometres away from the estate.

The place was used as a transition deport but those that knew the inside story was aware that it was just a ruse, the facility housed the aerial crafts for the Rothschild security forces.

People were already waiting for him. They would be landing, just flying over and he would jump off at the right moment. He had extentive training in this field so Daniel wasn't worried about him, he just hoped, Samuel wouldn't cause any new incident or not make new enemies during this mission but the chances of that happening was slim.

He didn't forget to send a message to the number. Another set of coordinate, inside the nearby jungle, he hoped that the other party would chose to meet him so that he could learn more about Talia's situation. He got less than twenty four hours before another set of blinding pain hit his heart, Talia would be going through even worse fate than him!

...

...

...

"Lock her up? Shouldn't you find a way-"

"Yiu don't have to act sentimental. Her being here would affect everyone beside, the damage it did to her body couldn't be repaired, it's permanent. It's only her fault for not being atrong enough." Samara waved Ariel off with her hand not willing to listen to her nonsense.

None of them noticed, Talia who was listening through the slightly ajar door. She could smile bitterly which also hurt and only blame herself for being too naive.

It must be because she was blinded by heroic stories her mentor, Raani told her about the legendary Vishkanyas. They were noble and just, always standing at the side of the weak but now listening to their arguing she knew it wasn't her fault but Samara did change something which made her like this.

She found it intriguing that Ariel fought so fiercely for her. Although she never showed any liking to her and always told her she hated her because they shared a same father, the reason was still unknown to her, now she was trying to ask for Samara's help in healing her.

But Talia knew better than anyone, no one could change her. She might have live alone like a hermit which was probably for the best as she didn't know what her mentor would do to see her like this, hovering between living and dead!
