Chapter 1253: To the Rescue!-2
Samara left after some harsh remarks not caring about anything that happened to Talia. She had already considered her as a lost specimen whose only job was to exist in case the coan needed her in the future.
Ariel watched her leave, gritting her teeth in frustration. Samara has always been cruel but this time, she crossed a line. But after thinking about it, she crossed it years ago, maybe before she was born.
Experimenting on people, causing them to suffer excruciating death have been going on for who knows how long in this facility.
Most of it's inhabitants have long since became numb to clan's practices. Helplessness might be the prime cause but since they began to accept it, they were just as guilty as Samara.
Maybe her humanity surfaces because Talia was related to her, seeing her in that state really stirred up emotions that she had long since forgotten.
Just as she turned around, she found Talia peeking through the gap. She saw Talia's once beautiful face which was disfigured beyond comprehension and couldn't even tell if she was making a sad or disappointed expression but it was clear she heard it.
"I-" She wanted to say something, anything but Talia vanished and she heard her hoarse voice," It's alright. Maybe this is what I deserved for worshiping false idol or maybe this is the punishment for my sins. You don't have to fight for me, just leave me alone from now on. I promise, I will live on, in case someone needs me in the future."
Ariel eyes turned red but she could say anything. Comforting her? How would one comfort a person like her? Encourage her? How could she tell her to keep having hope when her own mentor abandoned her so abruptly?
In the end, she could only say,'okay' before leaving the basement floor. The place she was living housed many different poison, glorified small storage room which was made into a makeshift dwelling for someone dangerous like her.
There was no other way, her body began to secrete poison that would kill most people in this facility. Only people like her could resist it but if she really turned violent and touch them, even they wouldn't survive.
She was quarantine like a lab rat, something Samara would bury till the end days as she knew Raani wouldn't let this go if she found out her precious student was made into a monster because of her over excitement.
Ariel watched the door close and finally made up her mind. She pulled her phone and send the message to one person who could probably help her, it was not Talia's previous mentor but the young man who miraculous survived two poisonous attacks that would have killed him.
She saw no other hope but it was unclear if the man would even dare to set foot here. Even if he did, he had little chance to make it inside without dying.
But with her help, maybe they could sneak her out of here but it was risky. She would be betraying the clan and she knew better than anyone what happens to the traitors.
Her father was one and she always had to hear others mock and tease her because of it. This was the reason why she harbour such resentment towards him and anything related to him which included Talia. If not for her becoming a proficient Vishkanya and displaying generation talent in poison arts, she might still be getting those hateful looks and jeers from the clan people.
She never knew why her father betrayed the clan, she never even asked but now faced with the same dilemma, she at least understood their circumstances might not be that different.
After an hours, she recieved a positive reply also the location near the forest. The young man wanted to meet her in person but she hesitated.
Even someone like her needed to get authorisation to leave the facility as it was a closed space with only one door. There were maintainance shaft and airways but those too were secured too secured for anything to interfer with them.
But she needed to go outside to see if the person she was betting for her and Talia's future was as impressive as Talia had make him out to be.
...
...
...
"We will be departing in five minutes. Everything you need have been arranged and we will reach the intended target airspace in approximately two hours." One of the pilots came to greet him and gave him full details.
"Two hours?" Samuel furrowed his brows. He thought, an hour would be enough.
"There have been some restriction so we will have to take a longer flight path hence the delay but don't worry young master, it's the expected time, we will try to reach it faster."
"Alright. You can go, I will be fine here." The hanger wasn't a luxurious place but it had no reason to be. It was made to be efficient not to provide comfort.
He mentally prepared himself for everything. No matter what, he was going to take her back and this time he wouldn't give her any time to explain.
He felt like during their last talk if he said it, she might have stayed. So what they would get scorn from other five clan elders, he wouldn't be so helpless right now, if she stayed close to him.
Their traditions, their rules didn't matter to him especially when one of his people were in the mix. But at that time, it was best for him to make the clan his enemy for both Talia and her mentor's sake.
If they simply followed their end of the deal and kept her safe, he wouldn't mind their seperation. Maybe they will meet in the future, no they would have certainly met because of their bond but since the other party was harming Talia, he wouldn't show them mercy.
With burning fury, the craft lifted off carrying a line soldier, a soldier that was on a path of vengeance!
