Honkai Simulator: I'm Really not Seele!

Chapter 11: Will I become a dead soldier?

To be honest, although the current Lunelle bore a striking resemblance to his wife, Seele, at first glance, there were still clear distinctions between them.

However, the deeper one looked, the more apparent the differences became—glaring disparities that no amount of scrutiny could overlook.

Starting with their appearance, my wife, Seele, had her signature short shoulder-length hair that gave her an irresistibly cute charm. Meanwhile, Lunelle had her hair neatly styled, cascading all the way down to her waist.

And then there was their physique—Seele, despite only being fourteen, already boasted a supermodel-like figure. Lunelle, on the other hand, was a man. Not only did he lack a strong and masculine chest, but his frame was completely devoid of any signs of athleticism due to his utter disregard for exercise.

Simply put, Lunelle's body was still as flat as a runway—at least, for the time being.

But the most crucial difference? Lunelle's Honkai adaptability was barely above that of an average person.

Compared to my wife, Seele—who was born with an innate stigmata awakening—the gap between them was as vast as the heavens and the earth.

Lunelle had to know that with such an enormous disparity, there was no way Cocolia would be blind enough not to recognize him as a fake.

And if—no, when—Cocolia found out that some random man had dared to "impersonate" her beloved Seele...

Lunelle could already picture the horrifying image of himself getting smacked into oblivion by Titan Daddy, reduced to nothing more than "male Valkyrie fragments" upon exposure.

After all, Cocolia was a ruthless Russian military officer. Her ways of dealing with enemies were far bloodier and more brutal than most people could ever fathom.

In short, he was completely pinned down in Nagazora by Cocolia.

At this stage, if Lunelle even considered leaving Nagazora, the best-case scenario would be slipping away unnoticed. But the moment he was caught and interrogated by Anti-Entropy, his current appearance would instantly draw Cocolia's attention.

Moreover, Lunelle clearly remembered that Anti-Entropy had once benefited from Seele's tragic fall into the Sea of Quanta, successfully obtaining technology to master quantization.

With those invisible mechas lurking around, did Lunelle truly think he had a chance to escape with just 4 points in physical strength?

He wasn't delusional—he simply didn't want to get pulverized by Titan Daddy before his story had even begun.

If Lunelle wanted to escape, he at least needed to survive until the point in the plot where the Big Three were rescued by Hyperion and brought to St. Freya Academy.

By that time, Cocolia would realize there was no point in staying in the ruins of Nagazora any longer. Naturally, she wouldn't keep wasting Anti-Entropy's already dwindling supply of tactical mechas there.

That was when Lunelle suddenly recalled some critical details he had glossed over while catching up on the comics.

According to the original plot, if Hyperion's battleship hadn't rushed in to intercept the Herrscher of Thunder, even if the trio had fought their way out and miraculously escaped Nagazora, their most likely fate would've been an inevitable showdown with Cocolia—the goddess of internal conflicts herself.

After all, among the trio, there was Bronya—the little traitor who had a biochip implanted in his brain by Cocolia. Even though Bronya had been brainwashed by the sheer power of the plot in just a few days, there was no way their location could remain hidden from Cocolia for long.

The only question was—if Cocolia, underestimating the Herrscher's true strength, ended up fighting the Thunder Queen who had nearly torn Hyperion apart with her bare hands—who would win?

But before Lunelle could ponder that answer, reality struck hard.

In the blink of an eye, all the electronic devices in his rental apartment, which had been functioning normally just moments ago, suddenly shut down.

And then, as if from the depths of the earth itself, a strange rumbling noise echoed ominously.

At the same time, Lunelle felt a violent tremor surge through the entire building—so intense that the walls and ceiling of his already flimsy rental house cracked apart, dense fractures forming in an instant.

Fortunately, though the structure was already on the verge of collapse, the eerie tremors lasted only a few seconds before subsiding, leaving only silence in their wake.

If another quake of the same magnitude struck again, there was no doubt in his mind—his crumbling ceiling would cave in and bury him alive.

Grabbing onto the chair beside him, Lunelle steadied himself, avoiding the humiliation of tumbling face-first onto the floor.

To be honest, the plot never explicitly mentioned how exactly Cocolia had triggered the Third Honkai Eruption.

At first, Lunelle had assumed that she must have artificially increased the Honkai energy concentration in the vicinity of Chiba Academy, catalyzing the incomplete Conquest Gem inside Raiden Mei and completing its transformation into a Herrscher Core.

As a result, the birth of the Herrscher expanded the Honkai's corruption, rapidly consuming all of Nagazora.

But now, things were different...

Lunelle hadn't expected Cocolia to have artificially created a cradle for the Herrscher's birth.

From the very beginning, there must have been some special device hidden underground, designed to facilitate the spread of Honkai energy across all of Nagazora!

And now, beneath the very building where Lunelle currently resided, a massive explosion was about to erupt.

Wasn't it enough to focus solely on Chiba Academy? Did they really have to be so ruthless, wiping out even the suburban areas of Nagazora?

As expected of the only Civil War Goddess in Anti-Entropy—someone who never hesitated to burn funds like they were nothing in battle.

For now, the tremors had subsided.

But the Honkai energy that had been released underground was already seeping into the atmosphere at an alarming rate.

Because Lunelle was so close to the epicenter, within mere minutes, he could feel an overwhelming, oppressive energy saturating the air around him.

"This… is Honkai energy?"

Understanding the world of Honkai as well as he did, Lunelle immediately recognized the source of the eerie aura surrounding him.

After three days of relentless simulation training, his Honkai adaptability had reached 21 points—four times greater than the average woman in this world.

He had assumed this level of adaptability would give him some resistance. After all, his expectations had only been around 10 points at best.

His actual performance was more than double what he had predicted—wasn't that great?

With this level of accumulation, he should've been able to withstand the Honkai energy's corrosion… right?

However, his confidence was instantly shattered.

The moment the Honkai energy made contact with his skin, Lunelle was horrified to witness dark, ominous lines rapidly spreading across his pale flesh—evidence of the Honkai's corruption seeping into his body.

"Ah?!!!"

At that moment, Lunelle felt as if his world was collapsing.

Was his so-called 21-point Honkai adaptability just a joke?

He was about to turn into a dead man!

Someone, anyone—please help him!!!
