Honkai Simulator: I'm Really not Seele!

Chapter 21: Simulated Settlement, [A→A+]

Faced with the relentless pursuit of the Fire Moth forces, the demise of the former civilization's "Seele" soon arrived.

To ensure that the immensely dangerous Herrscher "Seele" was completely eradicated, Fire Moth dispatched both Kevin and Elysia, the strongest ace warriors of their time.

Though Seele's power and authority were formidable, she was still far from reaching her full potential. And her opponent? Kevin Kaslana—the greatest juggernaut of the Previous Era civilization.

The outcome was inevitable.

Seele fell to Kevin without suspense.

Yet, just as Seele lay defeated, teetering on the brink of death, the Herrscher's iron grip on Lunelle's subjective consciousness unexpectedly loosened for a fleeting moment.

Lunelle, regaining control for the first time in what felt like eternity, found herself momentarily dazed. A fog clouded her mind as she took in her surroundings.

But before she could fully process her regained autonomy, her gaze landed upon the cold, black muzzle of a gun pointed directly at her forehead.

And behind that weapon stood a figure she knew all too well—her so-called savior of pre-Honkai civilization.

Kevin's expression remained unreadable as he observed Lunelle's sudden display of human emotion. A flicker of doubt crossed his mind. Could Seele still be in there? Could she be reasoned with?

No.

Seele had massacred far too many. Regardless of any lingering traces of humanity, Kevin—who understood the sheer danger she posed—refused to take any chances.

So...

"Herrscher! Pay the price for your sins!"

BANG!

A gunshot echoed.

The last image in the simulation was Kevin mercilessly executing Lunelle, who lay helpless and unable to resist.

The world around her shattered like glass. Her consciousness was forcibly ejected from the immersive simulation.

Then, the results of the simulation surfaced one by one.

[You are dead!]

[Simulation Evaluation: You made contact with Seele's future in the former civilization, yet failed to grasp the opportunity to alter your predetermined fate. You did not rewrite the destiny of any significant plot characters.]

This peculiar talent, shrouded in mystery, possesses an inexplicable ability to make the host slightly... larger through unknown magical means.]

[Host Special Relationship Column:]

[The Will of the Sea finds your aura strangely comforting and considers you an adorable little cutie.]

[The Cocoon of the End acknowledges you as a potential investment but deems you unworthy of prolonged attention.]

[Within the Sea of Quanta, a special entity has confirmed your identity but remains unable to manifest in reality due to overwhelming resistance.]

As the simulator finished displaying the system prompts, Lunelle let out a deep breath. For once, she had experienced a simulation where death wasn't instantaneous.

However, as she returned to reality, a strange sense of longing still lingered in her mind.

After all, this was the first time in her life that Seele—her beloved Seele—had taken the initiative to touch her.

Of course, Lunelle understood full well that the Seele in the simulation was nothing more than a Herrscher's shell, an avatar of destruction, an existence devoid of true emotion. And yet...

It was like a soldier encountering their greatest idol on the battlefield—only to be swiftly overwhelmed by admiration and hesitation, leading to their downfall.

Lunelle's situation was similar.

This was her first time standing face to face with Seele, even if it was a deceitful, sugar-coated trap meant to drag her into the abyss. In the end, she couldn't resist biting down on the bait.

And what a sweet, soft, and intoxicating bait it was.

Of course, the inevitable explosion followed—blasting her to death on the spot.

But if anyone were to ask Lunelle whether she regretted her actions in the simulation, she would answer without hesitation:

Regret? Impossible!

Compared to her previous experiences, where she was slaughtered upon arrival, this simulation had been nothing short of exhilarating!

Especially that moment when Seele pressed close to her. That moment still had her heart racing.

Between being unceremoniously executed upon landing and embracing Seele's Herrscher form until her last breath—wasn't the latter far more worthwhile?

Of course, Lunelle wasn't a complete fool whose mind was consumed by base desires.

This kind of reckless indulgence... once was enough.

Accepting the three points of physical attributes converted from her three points of Honkai Energy Adaptability, Lunelle felt a surge of strength course through her body.

Her raw power had increased significantly in an instant.

It was an exhilarating feeling—one that made her reminisce about her past life.

Back then, each guaranteed physical exercise had only given her minuscule improvements.

She remembered how she used to celebrate a mere 0.1 increase in her stats.

How pitiful.

Now? Now she knew the truth.

Only in the world of Honkai—only as a girl—could she reap such insane benefits!

The thought settled deep in her mind. The reality was undeniable.

Having tasted the rewards of her existence, Lunelle turned her attention back to analyzing her simulation results.

Some might argue that her failure was due to her own inability to resist temptation. And while there was some truth to that...

Lunelle, as the person involved, had noticed something peculiar.

The Herrscher personality itself was a consciousness replica based on her own mind.

In order to fully control her body within the simulation, the Herrscher personality had to deeply merge with her original consciousness.

That was why, in the last simulation, as soon as the Herrscher personality appeared, it immediately lunged at Lunelle, clinging to her relentlessly.

And through that intimate contact on a conscious level, Lunelle had stumbled upon a crucial clue—the fundamental catalyst that triggered the birth of the Herrscher personality.

It had all begun... because she harbored a sliver of murderous intent towards that damned cow who dared to lay hands on Seele!?
