The next morning, when Orli came into the common room, she found Harry and Ron whispering to each other.
## Ron: "You should've woken me up."
Ron looked a bit annoyed.
## Harry: "We'll go back tonight. I want you to see that mirror."
Harry lowered his voice, glancing around before spotting Orli. He waved her over.
## Harry: "Orli, come here!"
As soon as Orli joined them, Harry couldn't contain his excitement.
## Harry: "Orli, I saw my mum and dad last night!"
Orli nearly stumbled. She felt like she'd forgotten another crucial plot point and frantically tried to recall it. Before she could figure it out, Ron blurted everything out like a waterfall.
On Christmas morning, Harry had received an Invisibility Cloak. Last night, he went exploring alone and discovered a magical mirror that showed him his parents.
Suddenly, it all clicked for Orli—it was the Mirror of Erised! The mirror that reveals the deepest, most desperate desires of one's heart.
## Harry: "The cloak's big enough for all three of us. Let's go tonight. Maybe you'll see your mum and dad too, Orli. We can all meet each other's families. And Ron can see all his brothers and relatives."
Harry's voice was hushed, but it brimmed with excitement and anticipation.
## Ron: "You can meet my brothers and relatives anytime, but maybe the mirror only shows dead people."
Ron's blunt comment didn't bother either Harry or Orli.
## Ron: "You two can come to my house this summer. You'll meet whoever you want, though I bet you'll just end up with a headache from all the noise."
Harry seemed distracted, likely lost in thoughts of his parents.
As for Orli, she wasn't particularly curious about her parents. They were just portraits in the old family house, endlessly complaining about each other. It left her with no illusions about heartwarming family moments.
Right now, she was more regretful about not memorizing every detail of the original story. All she had were vague outlines of the plot, which made her prone to missing key events or stumbling into unpredictable situations.
The Mirror of Erised… What would it show her?
She vaguely remembered the mirror being one of the final obstacles guarding the Philosopher's Stone but couldn't recall any specific dangers. Perhaps it wouldn't hurt to go with them tonight and take a look.

That evening, the three of them squeezed under the Invisibility Cloak, retracing Harry's path from the night before. They wandered through the dark corridors for over an hour.
The cloak was smoother than silk and as light as air. Orli held onto one corner, her mind a whirlwind of thoughts. This "night adventure cheat code" was a gift from Dumbledore to Harry. Whatever his reasons, giving such an item to an eleven-year-old wizard hardly seemed like a wise decision.
She thought back to her earlier speculation: could the Philosopher's Stone incident itself be a test for Harry?
## Ron: "It's freezing. Let's just go back."
Ron was shivering from the cold.
## Harry: "No!"
Harry rasped, determined. He finally spotted the suit of armor he had passed the night before.
## Harry: "Here it is, right here!"
They pushed open the door to an abandoned classroom. Harry eagerly threw off the Invisibility Cloak and stood in front of the mirror.
It was a magnificent mirror with an ornate gold frame that stretched up to the ceiling, resting on clawed feet.
At the top of the mirror was an inscription of strange letters. Orli only recognized the word "Erised," which, when reversed, spelled "Desire."
## Harry: "Do you see it?"
Harry asked in a hushed voice.
## Ron: "See what?"
Ron looked puzzled.
## Ron: "I only see you in the mirror."
## Harry: "Stand where I am. Look closely!"
Harry stepped aside, letting Ron stand directly in front of the mirror.
## Ron: "Blimey…"
Ron murmured, awestruck.
## Harry: "Can you see your family standing around you?"
Harry watched him intently.
## Ron: "No, it's just me. But I look older, and I'm wearing a prefect badge. And I'm holding the Quidditch Cup!"
Ron reluctantly tore his gaze away from his impressive reflection and turned to Harry, his face alight with excitement.
## Ron: "Do you think this mirror shows our future?"
## Harry: "How could it? My family is already dead."
Harry's confusion was evident as he turned to Orli and pulled her toward the mirror.
## Harry: "Orli, what do you see?"
