Chapter 451: Chapter 452: Goddess of Beauty Ishtar and Freya

"I'm not dazzled, Alexander. Your soul... truly looks delicious."

Freya leaned close to Alexander, whispering in his ear. Her voice was dripping with temptation. However, Alexander took a discreet half-step back, immediately creating some distance between them.

"Ahem, everyone, Bete and the others are waiting for me. I'll take my leave first," Alexander said, finding an excuse to depart.

Though Freya was undeniably beautiful, Alexander wasn't the type to fall for such superficial allure. Besides, he wasn't interested in a woman like her, even if Freya's charm slightly outshone that of Ishtar.

"When did Alexander and Bete get so close? I don't get it," Loki muttered, shaking her head before turning to greet the others.

As Alexander left, Freya's gaze lingered on him. She touched her flawless face, then glanced at Ottar beside her.

"Ottar, tell me... has my charm faded?"

"Impossible," Ottar replied, shaking his head solemnly. "Your allure will always be the brightest sun in Orario."

"Then why won't Alexander even spare me a second glance?"

Ota hesitated, searching for an answer, before finally shrugging helplessly. "Perhaps... he's not like most people."

"Of course he's not," Freya said, a sly smile spreading across her face. "Men like him spark the strongest desire to conquer."

What Freya didn't notice was that, in the shadows, a tan-skinned woman with an exotic air had been silently watching the scene unfold.

"That man rejected Freya? Interesting," the woman chuckled. "Freya, is there actually someone in this world you can't enchant?"

Her gaze shifted to Alexander, who was chatting with Bete and Gareth. She studied his figure, her eyes gleaming with intrigue.

"Ishtar-sama," came a loud, brazen voice from nearby, "if you let me step in, that mere man would be powerless against my beauty."

The speaker was a woman—a strange, rotund figure standing two meters tall. Her name was Phryne, a Level 5 adventurer often nicknamed the 'Big Toad.' Despite her grotesque appearance, she considered herself the epitome of beauty, far surpassing even Freya.

Ishtar, standing nearby, rolled her eyes at Phryne. 'Are you serious right now? Do you have no self-awareness at all? You're my loyal follower, but I don't even know how to describe this level of delusion!'

"Alright, alright, enough nonsense. Let me handle this myself," Ishtar said, striding confidently toward Alexander.

Ishtar, like Freya, was a goddess of beauty. Yet, Freya's popularity always seemed a notch higher, and this disparity gnawed at Ishtar.

But now, she finally saw an opportunity to surpass Freya. If she could charm the man Freya couldn't, wouldn't that make her the superior goddess of beauty?

As Ishtar approached Alexander, he also looked in her direction, a happy smile suddenly appeared on Alexander's face. Without hesitation, Alexander began walking quickly toward her.

Seeing him come her way, Ishtar's heart swelled with pride. 'Look at that! He's so happy to see me! Surely, he's enchanted by my beauty.'

"Haha, do you see this? This is the irresistible allure of the Goddess of Beauty!" Ishtar thought smugly. 'Freya, how will you compete with me now?'

Just as Ishtar prepared to reach out and engage Alexander—perhaps even envisioning a night of intimate triumph—he walked right past her.

For a moment, Ishtar stood frozen, stunned. 'What just happened? Did he... ignore me?'

Her mind reeled as she turned her head to follow him, only to see Alexander talking to a waiter.

"Excuse me," Alexander said, "could I get a small cake? I missed dinner. Thanks."

Ishtar stood motionless, thunderstruck. 'Me! The Goddess Ishtar! And he prefers... a small cake?!'
