Hunted by Characters I Drew!!

Chapter 452: Chapter 453: Am I Being Chased by a Man?

Alexander was enjoying the small cake in his hand when Ishtar, standing nearby, could barely suppress her frustration. She clenched her fists tightly, muttering under her breath.

"I must hold it in... hold it in..."

Despite her irritation, Ishtar approached Alexander again, putting on her most charming smile.

"Alexander, is it? I've heard of you for a long time," she said sweetly.

"Huh? Oh, Goddess Ishtar. What's the matter?" Alexander replied indifferently, completely unbothered by Ishtar's attempts to charm him.

To Alexander, Ishtar wasn't particularly special. Sure, she was well-known, but in his mind, her beauty was far from being unrivaled. He'd seen women far more stunning than her, so her supposed allure didn't faze him in the slightest.

Ishtar, unaware of Alexander's thoughts, continued her efforts.

"Alexander, why don't you stop by my Happy Street sometime? I'll personally make sure you're taken care of," she offered, her tone brimming with confidence.

She couldn't believe there was a man in the world who could resist this level of temptation. An invitation from the goddess herself? It was practically a declaration of her intentions! Surely, no mortal could turn her down.

But...

"Sorry, I'm not interested," Alexander said flatly.

"You... Are you serious?!" Ishtar exclaimed, pointing a trembling finger at him. 'Is this man even human?! He just rejected me!'

"That's right. I'm busy. Goodbye," Alexander replied before turning and walking away.

Ishtar stared at his retreating back, her frustration bubbling over. She whipped around and glared at the toad-like woman behind her.

"You! Go after him and bring him to me!"

"Ishtar-sama, are you sure?" the woman, Phryne, asked eagerly. Her grotesque lips curled into a twisted grin as she licked them, her eyes locked on Alexander.

"Such a cute little boy... He might not survive my games, though," Phryne sneered. "Ishtar-sama, are you really giving him up to me?"

"Of course! Just catch him and bring him to my room first. After that, he's all yours," Ishtar replied angrily.

"Yes, Ishtar-sama." Phryne's smile grew wider, and she began stalking Alexander like a predator eyeing its prey.

At this moment, Alexander was blissfully unaware that he was being targeted—especially by such a repulsive individual. If he knew, he'd definitely send Phryne into hell without hesitation.

Freya, watching from afar, chuckled quietly to herself. She found Ishtar's antics amusing. "Does she really think a Level 5 brute like that frog stands a chance against Alexander?"

Meanwhile, another figure had also taken notice of Alexander. A blond-haired man stood in the shadows, observing him with interest.

"What an intriguing man—so young and handsome," the man murmured. He turned to the person beside him. "Hyakinthos, what do you think about inviting him into our Familia?"

"Apollo-sama, you've taken an interest in him?" Hyakinthos asked, rubbing his temples as if he had a headache.

Hyakinthos couldn't help but feel conflicted. On one hand, he adored Apollo, his radiant god, who shone like the sun. On the other hand, Apollo's penchant for pursuing other Familia's members—once he set his sights on them—was infuriating.

"Why is it always someone else?!" Hyakinthos fumed silently.

Unaware of the storm brewing around him, Alexander remained focused on his evening. If he knew Apollo had also set his sights on him, he'd probably spit out his cake in shock.

"Apollo-sama," Hyakinthos began, "that man is already being targeted by the Ishtar Familia. We… might not be able to compete with them."

Although Hyakinthos was a skilled Level 3 adventurer, he was no match for the combined strength of Ishtar's Familia.

Apollo, however, simply smiled slyly. "That doesn't matter. Isn't he still with the Hestia Familia? Go and invite him on my behalf. If he agrees to join us, I'll personally guarantee his protection. Ishtar will have no choice but to respect me."

"What if he refuses?"

"Then we'll do things the old-fashioned way. I never give up on something—or someone—I want."

Hyakinthos sighed but obeyed. He walked toward Alexander, his jealousy evident in the sharp gleam of his eyes.

"Damn it! Why is it always him? He's just an ordinary-looking guy, yet everyone's so obsessed with him!"

Hyakinthos clenched his fists. 'No, I can't let this continue. I'll destroy him if I have to!'
