Chapter 455: Chapter 456-457: Someone Came to Give Us a House
After an enjoyable banquet, Alexander and his companions returned to Alexander's house and soon fell asleep. Meanwhile, outside Hestia familia's residence, a group of people silently gathered, their eyes fixed on the building.
"Boss, when are we going in?"
"When else? Now, of course!" Hyakinthos replied sharply, glaring at the group of adventurers before him. Revenge for the Apollo Familia was never something to be delayed. The time for action was now.
"Yes, Captain!"
'Shing! Shing! Shing!'
Weapons gleamed as the group prepared to storm the place.
"Move out!"
With loud shouts, the group charged into Alexander's residence like a pack of marauders. They searched every corner, hoping to find Alexander, but...
"Strange... Where is everyone?"
"Did anyone see Goddess Hestia either?"
"Are we sure we came to the right place?"
Confused, the group exchanged bewildered glances. What they didn't realize was that, while it appeared Alexander and Hestia had returned home, in reality, they had returned to their main residence in another world.
Alexander and Hestia were comfortably staying in a luxurious villa—one with modern amenities like TV and WiFi. Naturally, no one would choose to stay in an old, rundown house in a different world.
Standing amidst the empty rooms, Hyakinthos frowned deeply, his mind brimming with questions.
"Where are they? Where is everyone?!"
"Captain, maybe they ran away. I mean... the reputation of our familia is well-known."
"What?!" Hyakinthos shot a furious glare at the adventurer who had spoken. "How could they run away without anyone noticing? What kind of idiots are you all?!"
"Then... what should we do now, Captain?"
"What else? Burn it!"
"This... might not be the best idea, Captain. This 'is' the home of the gods..."
"Afraid? What's there to fear? If we've already broken in, why stop now? The Apollo Familia fears no one!"
"Yes, Captain!"
With that, the group began setting the house ablaze. As flames engulfed the structure, Hyakinthos' face lit up with a twisted sense of satisfaction.
"Alexander, this is what you get for defying me. Let's see how you'll handle this!"
After delivering his vengeful declaration, Hyakinthos turned and left. Not far from the burning house, two figures stood silently, observing the scene.
After a long pause, an elegant woman with long hair sighed deeply.
"It's over, Daphne. The Apollo Familia... they're finished."
"Huh? Cassandra, what are you talking about?" Daphne asked, puzzled. Her friend, Cassandra, possessed a prophetic ability through her dreams. While often cryptic and difficult to interpret beforehand, her dreams always came true.
Cassandra shook her head, her expression somber.
"Daphne, I dreamt of the bright sun being frozen by ice and snow. I fear... we are about to face calamity."
"Stop talking nonsense, Cassandra! Sure, I don't particularly like the Apollo Familia, but... do you really think a large familia with hundreds of members could lose to a small, newly established one?"
Daphne dismissed Cassandra's words, though Cassandra continued to gaze sorrowfully at the sea of flames before her.
In her mind, she could see only destruction.
——
The night passed, and by morning, the Hestia Familia's former residence was reduced to ruins. When Alexander and Hestia returned from the main world residence, Alexander's eyes darkened as he stared at the wreckage.
"Our home... it's gone! Alexander, our home is gone!" Hestia cried, throwing herself into Alexander's arms. Tears streamed down her cheeks as she mourned the loss of the small house she held so dear, humble as it had been.
Alexander silently embraced her trembling form, gently patting her back to comfort her.
"It's okay," Alexander said softly. Yet beneath his calm tone lay an icy intent.
"Someone dared to burn down our home. They'll repay us—with interest."
With those chilling words, Alexander took Hestia by the hand and began walking toward the Apollo Familia's residence.
As Hestia followed Alexander and recalled his ominous declaration, one thing became abundantly clear to her:
The Apollo Familia was finished.
