Chapter 457: Chapter 459: Conspiracy
"The Apollo Familia and Hestia Familia are going to a war game!?"
"What? The Hestia Familia dares to declare war on the Apollo Familia? Has Goddess Hestia lost her mind?"
"No way. I heard the Hestia Familia has grown very strong recently."
"Strong? A Familia that was just established a month ago? Do you really think it's strong?"
As discussions swirled among the onlookers, in the Loki Familia's domain, Hestia and Alexander were seated together. At this moment, Hestia's face was puffed up in anger, looking visibly displeased.
"Alright, Hestia, don't be so angry. You'll be moving into a new home soon. And don't underestimate the Apollo Familia. Their home is nothing if not luxurious."
"Luxurious?" Hestia pouted further. "How luxurious could it possibly be? Does it have a TV? A computer? Wi-Fi? Without those, don't talk to me about luxury."
Hestia's interest dwindled further, while Alexander's thoughts strayed in an entirely different direction. He closed his eyes and started conversing with the system in his mind.
"System, tell me… can I move the Apollo Familia's mansion to the real world?"
The system responded, baffled. "Master… are you serious?"
"Of course! Why not? It's just a mansion. Surely that's not impossible?" Alexander pressed on. He already had a villa, but the Apollo Familia's home was something else entirely—a mansion of a different caliber.
"Master, it's possible… but why do you always have such strange ideas?"
Alexander shrugged off the system's skepticism. Strange? Not to him. After all, why settle for less when you can have the best?
On the other side, Ais looked at Alexander curiously. "Alexander, do you need our help?"
"Help? No, it's just the Apollo Familia. I can handle them myself."
Alexander waved her off nonchalantly, showing no concern for the Apollo Familia, as he hadn't taken them seriously from the beginning.
Meanwhile, in the Apollo Familia…
"Ishtar, what brings you here?"
Apollo stared at the figure in front of him, puzzled by Ishtar's sudden appearance. She, on the other hand, sat comfortably on the sofa, a knowing smile playing on her lips.
"Apollo, I'm here to save you. Shouldn't you be thanking me?"
"Thank you? Ishtar, do you think I'll lose to the Hestia Familia?" Apollo scoffed, confident in his chances.
But Ishtar chuckled. "Apollo, didn't you do any research on your opponent before declaring war? Have you learned nothing during your time in Orario?"
Apollo was taken aback. He 'had' investigated, hadn't he? The Hestia Familia was initially without members, and later recruited a few scattered adventurers from other places.
Within just a month, two of their members, Utaha and Setsuna, advanced to Level 2. The rest showed no signs of progression, so they must still be Level 1.
What Apollo didn't realize was that the Hestia Familia's members had been at their corresponding levels from the start, as a result of their connection to Alexander. This unique situation meant they showed no progression in traditional rankings, leading others to underestimate them.
If it weren't for Hestia's belief that her Familia was overlooked by others, there wouldn't even be records of two members advancing to Level 2. Consequently, outsiders still assumed the strongest in the Hestia Familia were merely Level 2 adventurers.
And now, the Apollo Familia was paying the price for this misunderstanding.
"Heh, Apollo, you're so naïve," Ishtar said, smirking.
"Let me give you some free advice. My people discovered that one of the Hestia Familia members defeated the Level 5 Bete Logan in the Hostess of Fertility.
"Even if Bete didn't use a magic sword or other items, anyone capable of beating him has to be at least a Level 5. Meanwhile, your strongest is only Level 3."
She glanced pointedly at Hyacinthos, Apollo's supposed trump card. Against a Level 5, a Level 3 wouldn't last more than a single move.
"What?!" Apollo exclaimed in horror, his face pale. "How could this happen?!"
He began to panic. The war contract had already been sealed; there was no way to back out now. If he lost, he'd lose everything!
Desperate, he turned to Ishtar, his only hope. "Ishtar! You… You must have a solution, right?"
Ishtar's smile widened as she nodded.
"Doesn't Hestia have Level 5 adventurers under her command? Then you just need a Level 6."
"A Level 6? Ishtar, don't joke around. Where am I supposed to find someone of that caliber?!"
