Chapter 291: Killing the Enemies

[Chapter 290 Comments.]

[Keltic_Spirit: Counting tally: 17 Just wait for the 'New enemy' phase where the boss behind the corruption appears.]

'This is not looking good,' thought Theo while looking at the origin of the essence eruption. 'I think this is the last phase. Mia told us that the Crimson Witch could be saved but received a side effect.

'I believe it's just foreshadowing for this moment. Because of this, the Crimson Witch will receive whatever side effect the author wants.

'If there is indeed a new phase after this, it would only happen after I regroup with my students. So I will probably be the one to deal with it. I don't think the author will do it in that scenario. Sorry, but I can't reply to you guys for now.'

When Theo looked distracted, his enemies immediately surrounded him. The web woman formed multiple webs in the area to slow down Theo's movement.

After that, the tentacle guy clasped his hands, summoning the tentacles from the ground to catch Theo.

The salt guy was ready to manifest his power to turn Theo into salt and kill him.

Theo clicked his tongue and spun his body, sending his slash in all directions to cut down the tentacles. After that, he moved toward his students as if he had become too worried.

He waved his sword multiple times, cutting down one web after another.

The web woman tried to slow him down as much as possible, knowing that her power was ineffective against Theo's.

Even then, it was still enough to allow the salt guy to catch up to Theo.

The salt guy gathered his essence in both hands. The moment he clapped his hands, a pair of huge palms emerged from the ground, surrounding Theo from both sides.

After that, the web woman sealed the front with her web, connecting the two palms. The tentacle guy did the same, sealing his escape route.

This way, the salt guy could crush Theo between the palms, and Theo would gradually turn into salt.

"You have finally shown such a huge opening! The reason you lose is because you have a burden, Theodore Griffith." The salt guy roared as he controlled the palms. "Die!"

"Burden? There is no such thing as a burden. If you consider them a burden, you're simply too useless." Theo smirked.

As Theo said those words, a huge inscription suddenly appeared right underneath the salt guy.

"What?!" The salt guy widened his eyes in shock.

"Who is being trapped again?" Theo snorted.

The palms enveloped Theo while the huge inscription shone, turning into a pillar of light.

"Aaaaggghh!" The salt guy screamed in pain.

"What?!" The tentacle guy and the web woman were stunned. Since when did Theo create that inscription? Now that they thought about it, Theo had been standing in that spot for a while. Only after the burst of energy did he begin to move.

It was at this moment that they realized Theo had been planning this the whole time. He used his illusion to make sure that they didn't realize there was an inscription. Acting as if he was concerned about the safety of his students was part of his plan to lower their guards.

In other words, they were the ones falling for Theo's trick.

"Haaaa!" The pillar of light suddenly turned into salt as it began to crumble, revealing the salt guy.

His skin was burned, and some parts of his body were disintegrated, leaving only bones. He was panting heavily, as his essence was unstable. It took his all just to survive that trap, but he was still alive. Meanwhile, there was no sign of Theo resisting the palms. If this continued, Theo would definitely turn into a salt statue in a few seconds. The salt guy was still able to smile, thinking, 'I got him.'

However, the tentacle guy and the web woman didn't share the sentiment as they were staring at the salt guy, no, the person behind him.

All of a sudden, Theo's voice echoed from his back. "Yeah. I know you will do that."

"!!!" The salt guy widened his eyes in shock. He hurriedly turned around, but it was too late. "You—!"

His hand was sent flying by a single slash.

Theo smirked while saying, "Idiot."

The salt guy's head was still glaring at him as if wondering what happened.

They simply didn't realize that they had been under Theo's illusion. As he said earlier, he never considered his students a burden.

No matter how useless they were, he could still use them as bait. The students ended up lowering their guards, which resulted in the death of the salt guy. It could be said that his students had helped him crush the salt guy. There was no way he could call them burdens.

And there was one more reason why he was able to do all this. It was because of the plot armor that Agata gave him.

A few days ago.

Theo was staring at the letter.

Name: Devon (Salt Demon - 6 Authorities)

Description: silver hair, robust body, and aged but wise.

Weakness: He is so experienced that he believes everything is within his grasp.

Name: Brody (Tentacle Demon - 6 Authorities)

Description: brown hair, thin frame, and young.

Weakness: Too inexperienced for his level, resulting in rash decisions if something big happens.

Name: Reyres (Web Demon - 5 Authorities)

Description: Short black hair, super flat chest, looks like a male.

Weakness: Too passive to the point of slow reaction.

Yes, the plot armor was something this simple, but this was what Theo needed. Of course, he got the information about their demons, which allowed him to take advantage of it to kill the blood servants.

But at this point, the biggest advantage he had was knowing their weaknesses.

As Agata said, the salt guy was so confident that he didn't realize he had fallen into traps, and the running Theo was nothing but an illusion. The real Theo never moved, as he made himself invisible with his illusion.

And when the salt guy died, it was obvious that the leader position was passed down to the tentacle guy.

However, the tentacle guy realized that he wasn't anywhere near the salt guy in terms of commanding ability.

He tried not to panic, but he ended up taking a step forward and summoning his tentacles. "I'll stop him! Help me. As long as we can stop him for a bit longer, his students will definitely die."

"Y-yes!" The web woman's reaction was a bit too late, and the tentacle guy had just made a rash decision.

Instead of dispersing and probably working together with the Crimson Witch, he still planned to engage Theo in a battle, fully aware that he and the web woman's powers were ineffective against Theo's.

That was when Theo rushed toward the tentacle guy. The web woman tried to shoot her web so as to stop her, but she was one step too late.

Theo stomped on the ground. "Come forth!"

"!!!" The tentacle guy widened his eyes because the world seemed to change starting from Theo's feet, as though they were just illusions made of numerous smaller screens.

The wet soil turned into hard concrete, the trees became pillars of the theme park attraction, and the tentacles disappeared without a trace.

And last but not least, a huge pair of hands emerged from the ground and grabbed him.

"What is this?" The tentacle guy was shocked, but soon more and more of the hands came out and turned out to be a huge clown. "What? A clown?"

The tentacle guy used his tentacle to stop the clown, but it didn't really matter anymore. Once he stopped the clown, the latter actually tossed him to the right.

There was supposed to be nothing on the right, but an attraction soon appeared. It was a swing boat ride, but this time, the tentacle guy got hit by the bottom of the boat, which was made of sharp metal like the blade in ice skates.

"Aaaahhh!" The tentacle guy screamed as his body was split into two. He would never realize that Theo had sent forth his sword attack to match the boat's movement so that it could split him into two. So, it wasn't a pure illusion.

"You…" The web woman looked shocked, but she knew that it was impossible to fight Theo by herself.

Unfortunately for her, she had made that decision a bit too late.

After all, a roller coaster came out of the ground as if it had just exited an underground tunnel. It was coming toward her at high speed.

After seeing what happened to the tentacle guy, she hurriedly created multiple layers of webs to stop the roller coaster.

As she expected, the roller coaster gradually slowed down the more webs she used.

However, she seemed to have forgotten about the fact that Theo was the biggest threat. It wasn't the roller coaster.

She thought about it too late as her eyes returned to Theo after she stopped the roller coaster. Unfortunately for her, Theo was not there anymore.

"!!!" The web woman felt chills down her spine because she felt an energy fluctuation coming from behind her. It appeared her fate was similar to that of the salt guy, as Theo sliced her neck, killing her.

"Sorry, someone's request. They're wondering where my beloved avatar and first two authorities are since I haven't been using it for a while." Theo shrugged.

The three people who had been stopping him ended up dying in rapid succession after a single mistake. And it was due to the information Agata gave him.

Theo smiled. "Now then, it's time to help my hard-working students."
