Chapter 294: Book

[Chapter 293 Comments.]

[Adam_Balch_7324: That seems weird that a small portion of energy can still control the blood servants even when the main part of it has been expelled]

"Kill them!" Aurora shouted while shooting several arrows.

"Go!" Luca and Lucas were also summoning their barriers, killing one blood servant after another. However, there was one significant difference with the current blood servants.

Luca couldn't help but ask, "Has the blood servants slowed down?"

"No. They're not only slowing down, but they gradually stop moving." Aurora frowned.

"The energy inside the blood servants has become less active. It might be because Teacher has taken care of the Crimson Witch," said Lucas while squinting his eyes.

"If that's the case, we should take this chance to kill the remaining blood servants. It won't be good to leave them behind since normal soldiers have to sweep in and clean up this forest." Aurora pointed forward. "Let's go!"

The three of them continued roaming around the forest, killing all the blood servants in sight.

They continued going deeper and deeper into the forest until they finally reached the center of the forest.

"This is…" Aurora gasped, looking at a small castle made of rock.

"This is probably where the Crimson Witch resides."

"We should go in. There might be some blood servants remaining."

The twins agreed with each other and headed inside first. Aurora could only follow them. They went together at first, but because it was inefficient and there were only several blood servants left, they decided to split up and search for blood servants from door to door.

However, Aurora ended up stopping in one of the rooms.

"This is…" Aurora took a peek at the room, finding a big bed in the middle as well as several book shelves in front of the wall. However, what piqued her interest was the table on the opposite side. "Is this her bedroom? But she shouldn't need to sleep, right? No. Is this her room before she was taken over?"

Aurora entered the room, looking around at first before finding a book on the table. More importantly, there was a feather pen next to the book with the ink smearing the book's cover.

"The Crimson Witch might be writing something in this book before she gets taken over… This is weird. Someone as strong as the Crimson Witch should know about her condition. What kind of book is important enough for her to finish before getting taken over?"

Aurora fell silent for a moment. Although she hesitated for a few seconds, she couldn't help but open the book to take a peek at the content.

"This is…"

Theo looked at the comments this time. "I wonder from which chapter I should reply this time. Then again, I don't think I can reply to every comment to avoid wasting the chance to progress the story. I'll try to answer it as simply as possible. Besides, I should have replied to most of the comments through my actions and some remarks that I made here and there.

"I guess there are only three left. I'm not sure about this bleeding notification you're talking about, so do you mind explaining it a little bit?

"As for the second comment, don't worry. I don't think there will be any time skips as long as I'm in this world. There will probably be one for the preparation of the next mission.

"Last but not least, the current chapter's comment. Well, it is indeed weird that a small portion of energy can still control the blood servants. We can probably find out about it after taking out the rest of the energy from the Crimson Witch's soul. Your next journey awaits at My Virtual Library Empire

"And yes, it's probably related to the soul. The remaining energy is controlling a portion of the Crimson Witch's soul. What I'm currently doing is separating her connection to the brain, which causes her to stop thinking.

"Previously, the Crimson Witch was still actively fighting the energy. However, she is unconscious right now while I'm channeling my own essence to stop this weird energy from taking over."

Theo looked down. He could sense that the corrupted energy gradually became weaker as time passed.

Unfortunately, he couldn't operate on her right away. "I still need to wait for another 12 minutes before I can change my weapon. I don't think the author is going to waste more time and just give me the soul scythe right away.

"Only after operating her can I bring her back and let the witches and soldiers take care of the rest."

Theo smiled. While he was waiting, it seemed that his students had finished their jobs. Two of them were still going around to ensure that they didn't leave any blood servants behind. Meanwhile, Aurora returned to him, her right hand was carrying a book.

"Teacher."

"Oh! Are you done?"

"Yes. Luca and Lucas are still patrolling to make sure of it. I came back first because of this…" Aurora showed the book to Theo. "I believe this book contains the Crimson Witch's research inside it… which might be related to what controlled her."

"!!!" Theo widened his eyes. There was one big problem with bringing this book. Theo didn't care much about the book or its content. What caused his heart to beat faster was actually the fact that Aurora knew about the content of the book.

Theo remembered that the Crimson Witch had a castle in the middle of the blood forest. To ensure not a single blood servant survived, they would definitely need to come to that castle.

Theo finally realized how the author was planning to bring him back to this world. Just like what happened in the Cultivation World, where he might have to face an entire sect, this book would definitely cause him to know the 'plague' that harmed this world. And there was no way such a grand flag would be solved easily, like a mission with his students.

If he found the book, he would simply burn it or ignore it as if he hadn't seen anything. But his student not only brought it back to her, but she had also read it. In other words, the grand flag had been planted. It would definitely be a flag, where he would end up returning to this world once again to solve a big problem.

Theo smiled wryly before asking, "Aurora. I just want to confirm it. Did you open the book?"

Aurora was unaware of Theo's inner turmoil. She nodded innocently. "Yes, Teacher. I just took a brief look to see whether it was important enough or not."

It was at this moment that Theo knew he couldn't escape from the plot.
