Chapter 295: Sucking

[Chapter 294 Comments.]

[Adam_Balch_7324: There's no way out unless you were a different kind of person unfortunately for you]

[Keltic_Spirit: I noticed that one of the descriptions stated that one of the events where outside the author's expectations. And it wasn't your actions. Im off to the spirit world, so forgive me for disappearing for the next, 18-21ish chapter]

"Is there something wrong?" Aurora's face turned pale, wondering if she had made a mistake or not. After all, Theo's question was rather specific.

Theo shook his head before smiling. "No. It's fine. Thank you."

Even though Theo was annoyed, he couldn't really show it to his students. He never thought that there were already two connections that would force him to go to another world again.

It appeared that the author was adamant about creating an arc about it.

'Then again, I understand it because, for an author, he must want to develop some world buildings, right? Discovering one unique thing after another… But with all ten worlds at once, it's a hard thing to do. In fact, even if I insist on staying in the demon realm, the author will probably just create a mission or an arc that forces me to go to another world. At least, I know what will happen now.'

While lamenting his fate, Theo noticed that his spirit had gradually turned back to its original form. He immediately activated it again and formed another weapon, which, as he expected, turned into the soul scythe.

"Teacher! That scythe…" Aurora looked surprised. She was already aware of Theo's ability, but the weapon was supposed to be random. She didn't expect that Theo would be lucky enough to get the soul scythe. No, rather than luck, it felt like Theo was able to control the randomness itself.

"What?" Theo asked while raising his scythe.

"N-No!" Aurora chose to bury her thoughts to avoid distracting Theo. "Is there anything I need to help with? Or do you want me to leave?"

"You can watch if you want, or you can help the twins if you don't want." Theo shrugged.

"I understand." Aurora took a step back and observed the Crimson Witch closely. It seemed that she wanted to know the conclusion, especially due to her uncle's possession.

"In that case, let's start." Theo lowered his scythe while muttering in a low voice. "Valentine."

"I'll stabilize the woman's soul as much as possible. But looking at the condition, we need to do it fast." Valentine nodded. She closed her eyes to connect with the Crimson Witch's brain. "I'm connected."

After that signal, Theo stabbed the Crimson Witch with the tip of his scythe. After that, he poured all his energy into the scythe, activating its ability.

"!!!" Aurora widened her eyes in shock. The soul scythe was actually sucking the soul out of her body. However, Theo stabbed in the same position as her last arrow, which was the core of the corrupted energy.

As a result, out of all the souls that were sucked out, most of them were the corrupted part.

But the corrupted energy was definitely not the one just taking a beating without fighting back.

"Aaaaagggghhh!" The Crimson Witch's body twitched before gradually convulsing uncontrollably.

Aurora couldn't help but take a step forward to assist him. Sadly for her, Theo had summoned his clown, albeit only his hands. The hands emerged from the ground and grasped her, spreading her as if it were an operating table where all parts of her body were strapped to the tables.

"Aggghhh!" The Crimson Witch was struggling to break free, but to no avail.

Meanwhile, Valentine was having a hard time stabilizing the witch's mind. She felt that the corrupted energy had a will of its own. Valentine bit her lips. "What is this? A mind? An existence? A new being?

"The being is filled with bloodlust, killing intent, and hatred." Valentine felt a bit overwhelmed. It was only because she was connected to her mind that she could feel all this. At the same time, she admired the Crimson Witch. "To think that she has been enduring this for a few months… no, even longer than that. The feelings might not be as intense as now, but she is still hanging on there."

Theo frowned after hearing Valentine's observation. If that was the case, he had less time than he expected. He had no choice but to increase the sucking force of his soul scythe.

"Aurora. Observe the flow of energy inside her body. Tell me when all the corrupted energy has been sucked out."

"Y-Yes!" Aurora didn't expect that she would have a role in this operation. She thought that Theo could do everything. In fact, Theo looked like he already knew the 'core' concept of her hunter spirit when he stabbed the scythe in that very spot. Little did she know, Theo was simply replicating her.

No matter how strong or talented Theo was, it was impossible for a person to master everything. Even with his talent for learning, he would never be able to get the sharp senses that other species had.

However, Aurora didn't think that far. She simply knew she had a role and had to complete it flawlessly.

Aurora squinted her eyes, not wanting to leave a single dark spot behind.

The Crimson Witch was screaming and struggling the whole time, but Theo continued the operation, skillfully applying his own essence.

"Stop! All of them have been sucked out!" Aurora shouted.

Theo intentionally sucked the energy for another second before pulling back his scythe.

Aurora looked worried, but when she stopped him, the witch was still screaming. Meanwhile, there was less than a second gap when the witch stopped screaming before Theo pulled out the scythe. It seemed that Theo was actually waiting for that before stopping the treatment.

In this situation, he had to make sure that all corrupted energy was gone so that it didn't influence her soul again.

Theo took a deep breath before asking, "Valentine."

Valentine observed her mind for a few seconds before confirming, "It's all gone. Her mind has been stabilized but is still passive. I'm going to gradually stimulate the brain so that her soul realizes that her body is fine. She should be able to wake up after receiving my treatment, but it's best to check her body's condition first."

"Well, I'm no doctor. From the way I see it, her body is weak, and I don't know if she can recover or not. The corrupted energy has gone berserk in her body after all." Theo sighed.

"Yes. Fortunately, it seems that only half of her body is corrupted."

"Nevertheless, her condition is stable now." Theo nodded. Still, there was one thing bothering him. It was what Valentine said regarding the corrupted energy. He couldn't help but feel some similarities with the characteristics of the madness from Aurora's world.

"Teacher…" Aurora's face was pale, wondering if they had managed to do it or not. She simply didn't bother with the source of the corruption.

Theo smiled. "Don't worry. We have succeeded. With another treatment, she should be able to wake up. For now, tell the witch in charge to bring her to the Darkness Witch. After that, we will hunt down the remaining blood servants and allow the soldiers to sweep in."

Aurora looked happy as she nodded before rushing out of the forest. "I'll talk to the witch then."

Theo could only shake his head after seeing that excitement. Yet his mouth said a different matter. "Yes. I can't escape this trouble if I stay consistent. Then again, the author will probably change the arc if I change, simply matching my current personality.

"And yes, the author's expectation is one thing. Once you write down the world within a limited amount of time, you can't really change the manuscript as much as you want, so it's definitely 'outside' of the author's expectations. I'm using that time limit to my advantage. But yes, I'm also searching for other methods."
