Chapter 1170: Extra Story: Taihao and the Apocalypse Evil Thoughts_3

In the eyes of the Human Clan, these three tribes had conspired to encircle and kill the Human Clan's chosen one out of fear of their might, and thus war erupted. The Human Clan initiated a war of revenge, and the other three tribes, unable to resist, went to persuade the other great clans that should they fall, the next to suffer would be those other great clans.

Consequently, various clans joined forces to pressure the Human Clan into ceasing the war. Faced with the situation, the Human Clan could only temporarily halt the war. However, unwilling to leave matters at that, they planned to secretly steal a Creation Tree Branch, refine it into a powerful Divine Artifact, and suppress the other clans. Yet the Creation Tree was guarded by the Chi, whose strength was immense, and no one dared to offend it.

The Human Clan, however, spent more than a thousand years coaxing the Chi, causing it to let down its guard and bribing it with all kinds of delicacies. The Chi, short-handed by the food it received, softened its heart for a moment, allowing the Human Clan to break off a branch and refine it into a Divine Artifact.

War erupted once again, with the Human Clan pitted against several other clans, and they gathered some smaller clans to their side. In just a short thousand years, they had trampled two great clans underfoot. The rest of the great clans, sensing the crisis, also came to steal Creation Tree Branches. The Chi refused them, but the ancestors of the various clans wept bitterly, claiming that if not for the Chi's mistake, none of this would have happened, and there must be a balance between the clans to avoid a catastrophic disaster, lest the Chi be blamed.

Seeing this, the Chi could do nothing but turn a blind eye, allowing the ancestors of the clans to break off branches. Thus, the real great war began, Divine Artifacts clashing, the land shattering, and the Firmament cracking; the entire Domain suffered severe damage, and Hao was roused from his seclusion.

Hao, awakened while contemplating the great Dao, saw the brutal war and the damaged Domain, which filled him with extreme fury. Violent thoughts surged in his heart: that the Domain should not exist, that he should be left alone to quietly comprehend the Dao undisturbed.

Enraged, Hao struck mightily, suppressing all his disciples and subjecting them to severe punishment, making them endure constant pain, feeling the misery of the despair of all living things, as a warning to them of the importance of peace in the Domain.

It took a long time for Hao to smooth over the broken Domain. Gazing at the Creation Tree, now missing several branches, he stood silently for a long while, while the Chi, like a child who made a mistake, hung its head low.

Looking at this being - the one who had accompanied him for the longest time and was also the first creature he had created - Hao ultimately could not stay angry. He knew the Chi was too simple-minded and so patiently taught it for some time.

As the ages passed, the ravaged Domain flourished once again. Hao felt great joy and an immense sense of accomplishment for the Domain he had opened up.

He went to see his disciples, who, after such a long period of suppression, had recognized their errors and been warned. Hao released them. The disciples knelt and kowtowed sincerely, promising to follow their master's footsteps in the future, to pursue the subtle intricacies of the Dao, and asked for their master's guidance.

Hao was pleased and imparted cultivation instructions to his disciples, teaching them the ways to comprehend the Dao. The disciples took their leave and returned to their own clans, no longer meddling in worldly affairs, focusing solely on understanding the Dao.

Seeing this, Hao entered seclusion again. However, having learned from past lessons, he would awaken from time to time to check on the Domain and his disciples.

Every time he awoke, his disciples were diligently cultivating in seclusion, working very hard. Hao was finally reassured. Watching the place of origin and the passage of time, a new era had arrived.

Hao did not know how many eras had passed since he had opened up the Domain. After all, the passage of time was beyond his perception when he was in seclusion, even sometimes spanning an entire era; he had no interest in exploring the past eras.

This seclusion was lengthy and yielded great rewards. Hao once again came close to touching the indistinct and profound Dao, comprehending even more of the ultimate truths of the Domain and all living beings.

As time passed, one era followed another. Since the opening of the Domain, it had been slowly expanding, with lightning flickering at the edges of the Domain, slowly breaking through the void. The present Taihao had already grown much stronger.

One day, several figures emerged from the Domain and began to expand in the void, wishing to enlarge the Domain, breaking through the emptiness. Hao, seeing this scene, inquired with his disciples.

Several disciples expressed their willingness to contribute to the Domain, to follow in their master's footsteps to create a larger Domain, to make Taihao more grand, and to bring more prosperity to all living beings.

Hao was very pleased and gave guidance to his disciples. From then on, Hao's disciples began to break through the void outside of the Domain, cultivating outside the Domain, and their strength increased with each passing day.

Taihao grew larger and larger, and as Hao entered a long period of seclusion, the Chi guarding the Creation Tree coiled upon the tree and dozed off. One day, Hao's disciples came to the Creation Tree, bringing delicious food for the Chi, claiming it to be a treasure imbued with Spiritual Charm uncovered during their expansion into the void.

The Chi immediately became wary, refusing the bribe. Hao's disciples claimed it was an apology for past sins, for the errors once made, advising the Chi not to worry about them coming with conditions.

Seeing their sincerity, the Chi accepted the food, and as such a long period had passed, these people had indeed changed their ways.

In the years that followed, Hao's disciples continued to bring delicious treats to the Chi, all as an apology for past wrongs.

The Chi was delighted; the food was too scrumptious, and since these people did not impose any conditions or attempt to break the Creation Tree, it accepted all the offerings.
