I Will Eventually Embark On The Path Of No Return Called A Hero

Chapter 348: Chapter 67. Resurrection of the Ten Commandments

[Arc5] - 67. Resurrection of the Ten Commandments

"Hah... As expected of the Fairy King, but I still won, didn't I?"

With half her body missing, Vivian leaned against the rocky wall and slowly walked into the pitch-black canyon. Black blood flowed from her wounds, gradually turning into normal red as she moved. Yet, this was no ordinary human blood—it had the power to revive withered grasslands with every drop.

Her teleportation was flawless, and leaving behind half her body was intentional. This ensured the [Seven Deadly Sins] would focus on protecting the reincarnated goddess Elizabeth rather than hunting her down.

"No one would believe a human could carry the blood of both the Demon Clan and the Goddess Clan. My plan is guaranteed to succeed."

After being possessed by a Gray Demon, Vivian, as a sorceress, had prepared counter-spells to turn the tide. Thankfully, the goddess who possessed her wasn't very powerful. Though there was some resistance, Vivian ultimately emerged victorious.

The blood of the Demon Clan and the Goddess Clan were in constant conflict, tearing at her mind. She discarded the Demon Clan's part of her body not only as a decoy but also to ease this unbearable burden.

"Huff..." Vivian took a deep breath. Like the Demon Clan, the Goddess Clan also possessed extraordinary regenerative abilities. After purging the Demon Clan's blood, her body, despite being half-destroyed, fully regenerated in just a few breaths.

"Finally here." Vivian arrived at the end of the canyon, raising her head to look at a massive stone wall.

This canyon, teeming with ferocious magical beasts far deadlier than those outside, hid a terrifying secret: a distorted fissure in the wall.

The world wasn't as simple as it seemed. Beyond the mortal realm, there was the Fairy Realm with its Sacred Tree, the Celestial Realm of the Goddess Clan, and the Demon Realm, birthplace of the Demon Clan. Among these, the Demon Realm was the most perilous, a place where even Demons struggled to survive. Its savage beasts, like the Indura, inspired terror even in the [Ten Commandments].

This canyon led to the Demon Realm through that very fissure!

"The Goddess Clan's seal depleted the Demons' magic power. While they can replenish it by consuming human souls, the process would see the [Ten Commandments] annihilated. I didn't revive you to send you to your deaths. Since you hail from the Demon Realm, standing before this fissure should restore your magic."

Vivian placed a disk and a dragon-shaped hilt together on the ground, glancing up at the sky. Ideally, she would perform the resurrection ritual during a solar eclipse, but time was short. The unpredictable [Seven Deadly Sins] might charge in with Elizabeth at any moment.

"Disk, hilt, and..." Vivian clenched her fist, letting her blood drip onto the disk. Bright, vibrant drops spilled onto its surface.

"The blood of the Goddess Clan."

[By your sharp embrace… By your alienating kiss… Deliver them!]

The disk trembled as powerful magic erupted from the dragon hilt's eyes, forming a colossal gate. The blood flowed backward, absorbed into the hilt's eyes.

[Sparling drops that contain the Power of the Goddess… Free the Demons from the evil spell!]

A wave of light erupted from the gate—a final defense of the Goddess Clan. If a Demon attempted to break the seal, they would be obliterated. However, Vivian's body was composed of 80% Goddess blood. The light purified the remaining Demon blood, leaving her feeling more at ease than ever.

[Emerge from the borders of Eternity… From the confines of Oblivion… Awaken from your infinite sleep...]

"Disapper, immaculate spell!"

Vivian raised her hands high. The blinding white light piercing the sky was quickly consumed by darkness as nine shadowy figures slowly emerged.

"Perfect, perfect. Demons, bring disaster to Britannia! This way, Gilthunder and I—"

Whoosh! A sudden gust interrupted Vivian.

"Huh?" She froze, turning mechanically. The lush forest in the canyon had vanished, replaced by a massive slope, the fissure now a gaping maw. She stood precariously at its edge.

"How... could this be..." A crimson line spread from her forehead downward as Vivian collapsed in disbelief.

"I... was the one... who awakened you..."

"Hah~ I just awakened, and already feeling that annoying Goddess magic. Don't tell me the Demon who tried releasing us has already been destroyed?"

A massive yet slender figure clad in armor appeared before Vivian. The remaining Goddess blood in her body turned cold as their eyes met.

What a terrifying creature! How could such monsters exist in a world where she hoped to live peacefully with Gilthunder?

"Ah~ Galand, she's human. She just has the blood of the Goddess Clan." A delicate, tentacled-haired youth examined Vivian, crouching down.

"And to open the seal right at the Demon Realm's fissure. How considerate."

"Do you want to save her, Gloxinia? Your spirit spear could probably manage it." Galand scratched the back of his head, his aged demeanor oddly at odds with his imposing presence.

"I refuse. I hate humans the most." The handsome youth with red hair lashed out with his tentacles, striking Vivian. "Now you even betray your race. How ugly!"

Boom! Vivian slammed into the smooth stone wall, reduced to a bloody mess.

"Galand, your movements are too loud," remarked a dark-haired youth resembling Meliodas, stepping from the mist. "We don't know Britannia's current state. You could've handled her with less noise."

"Hah! Zeldris, we're the [Ten Commandments]! What's there to fear?" Galand waved his axe, gazing skyward.

"The magic of the Fairy and Giant Clans has diminished. Don't tell me humans now rule Britannia?"

"It's not impossible. Humans are cunning creatures, striking when other races are weakened, attack the elderly, women, children and then steal their lands," replied the smiling, tentacled youth, his expression hiding deep malice.

"Since we're revived, let's begin reclaiming Britannia from humans." A towering, white-haired man glanced upwards.

"There's a familiar magic... Weaker than before. Meliodas."

Those words froze the relaxed faces of the other eight. Their shift in demeanor unleashed a crushing black aura that shattered the canyon entirely.

Amid the dense, storm-like demonic energy, the nine figures stood like natural disasters, their return announced by Britannia's trembling fear. They were the Demon Clan's most elite force—the [Ten Commandments]!

[Pacifism] Grayroad, a mass of pitch black matter with faces of Gray Demons on the outside.

[Truth] Galand, a slender man in red armor.

[Faith] Melascula, a beautiful girl with white hair like snake.

[Repose] Gloxinia, a handsome main with green tentacles wrapping around him.

[Patience] Drole, a four-handed giant with an extremely abnormal left eye.

[Reticence] Monspeet, a man who looks quite honest.

[Purity] Derieri, a wild blonder woman who looks totally out of place with the fairly honest man.

Each one of them above were dangerous, that Meliodas would deal with seriousness.

And the last two of the [Ten Commandments], [Piety] Zeldris and [Love] Estarossa.

These two… These are not dangerous. But extremely dangerous!
