Chapter 83 - Awaken, My Sword of Rupture!

Gilgamesh grasped Ea for the first time, unable to suppress his amazement. In the world of Fate, Ea was a supreme treasure, swung by gods to manifest pure power itself, splitting the void to create the heavens and earth. It symbolized the beginning and end, akin to the mythic Pangu Axe from Chinese legend.

Ea was exclusive to Gilgamesh, inheritor of divine genes. Its type and rank could change based on need, ranging from anti-world to anti-person, anti-army, or anti-fortress Noble Phantasms. The rank varied from A++ to EX, with corresponding differences in mana consumption.

At this moment, Byakuya, Ginrei, Sasakibe, and Yamamoto all focused their gaze on the sword. Initially, they felt disappointed; its unusual design made it resemble a staff more than a sword. The blade, a black, three-segmented cylinder inscribed with crimson runes, lacked a sharp point and edge. Its cross-guard and hilt, seemingly made of gold with dark purple runes, were exceptionally ornate.

Yamamoto questioned, "Is this sword your strongest Noble Phantasm?"

Detecting the disappointment in Yamamoto's voice, Gilgamesh smiled proudly, "Yes, this sword is Ea, the sword of creation that split the world."

Yamamoto responded with a scoff, "A sword that split the world? Such arrogance!"

Without further words, Yamamoto used Shunpo to charge at Gilgamesh, Ryūjin Jakka unleashing another fiery strike. The flames, carrying unbearable heat, surged toward Gilgamesh.

In response, Gilgamesh raised Ea and chanted, "It is Time. Awaken, Ea!"

As his words echoed, the blade's three black segments began rotating in opposite directions, forming three massive red-and-white rotating force fields around it, representing the rotation of the heavens, earth, and underworld. These fields, symbolizing the workings of the universe, sliced through Ryūjin Jakka's flames, reducing them to sparks that quickly vanished.

Seeing this, Yamamoto's eyes narrowed. He had underestimated Ea. Before he could react further, Gilgamesh swung the sword, the rotating force fields transforming into turbulent currents that roared toward Yamamoto.

His combat instincts, honed over millennia, screamed danger, warning him not to face these currents directly. But it was too late to dodge. With no hesitation, Yamamoto slashed at the oncoming force fields, shouting, "Ennetsu Jigoku!"

Ennetsu Jigoku, a technique of Ryūjin Jakka's Shikai, enveloped the currents in a tornado of flames, aiming to incinerate them until nothing remained. However, Ea's currents were unaffected, cutting through the flames and continuing toward Yamamoto.

Too close to avoid, Yamamoto hastily formed a barrier of spiritual energy around himself. The impact sent him flying, crashing heavily to the ground.

Byakuya, Ginrei, and Sasakibe were left speechless, their minds blank, unable to comprehend the scene before them.

At this moment, Suì-Fēng, Unohana, Aizen, Gin, and Tōsen arrived. They saw Yamamoto slowly rising, bloodstained, and their hearts trembled. They knew well the formidable strength of Yamamoto. Who could have injured him so?

Their gazes swept the area, ignoring Byakuya, Ginrei, and Sasakibe, finally settling on Gilgamesh. Aizen, Gin, and Tōsen exchanged knowing glances, their eyes drawn to Ea, recognizing its unprecedented power.

Suì-Fēng and Unohana, however, were in disbelief. They knew of Gilgamesh's talents but never expected him to wield such power capable of wounding Yamamoto.

Their eyes turned to Ea in Gilgamesh's hand, thinking, "Is that his Zanpakuto? What a unique design..."

Ōmaeda, Vice-Captain of the Second Division, also arrived, cold sweat forming on his forehead. Realizing the gravity of the situation, he contemplated fleeing. Witnessing Yamamoto injured, he knew joining the fight would be suicidal.

Gilgamesh noticed the gathering crowd and frowned slightly. Facing a one-on-one battle was manageable, even against Yamamoto, Byakuya, Ginrei, and Sasakibe. But with the arrival of more powerful figures, especially Unohana and Aizen, the situation became truly troublesome.

Should he use the true power of Ea?

As he pondered, Gilgamesh sensed something, his gaze turning skyward. From the heavens, a cylindrical object descended rapidly. Recognizing it, Gilgamesh's eyes narrowed, whispering, "Tenchuren."
