Chapter 82 - The Sword that Splits the World!

In the First Division office, Yamamoto focused intently on the Shield of the Gods standing between himself and Gilgamesh. It was this shield that had just blocked the full-force Shikai attack of Ryūjin Jakka. Although the shield had not shattered, it was beginning to melt under the intense heat.

Rifling through his memory, Yamamoto confirmed that the Soul Society had no known weapon like this. He understood that a shield capable of withstanding his full Shikai attack was indeed a treasure of great value. He had not anticipated that Gilgamesh possessed such an extraordinary artifact.

As Gilgamesh's words echoed in his mind—"countless treasures"—Yamamoto steeled himself. With a sudden and intense gaze, and before Byakuya, Ginrei, and Sasakibe could react, Yamamoto vanished from his spot. Reappearing behind Gilgamesh, he swung his blade once more, engulfing the area in the destructive flames of Ryūjin Jakka.

Gilgamesh avoided the attack using Shunpo, but Yamamoto was relentless, instantly pursuing him. Despite his age, Yamamoto's mastery of Shunpo rivaled that of Yoruichi Shihōin, though he never sought the title of "Flash God" due to his senior status.

Gilgamesh's Shunpo was insufficient to escape Yamamoto's pursuit, but his Omniscient Omnipotent Star allowed him to anticipate Yamamoto's actions, making it possible to evade. Their clash further devastated the already ruined First Division office, forcing Byakuya, Ginrei, and Sasakibe to retreat to a safer distance.

Amid the chaos, a golden ripple appeared in front of Gilgamesh, from which a key-shaped golden dagger emerged. If Isshin were present, he would have recognized it as the Key of the King's Law, used to open the Gate of the Gods.

Seeing this, Yamamoto's eyes narrowed, his mind racing: "Could this be the true form of Kennō's Shikai?" He dismissed the notion of it being a Bankai since Gilgamesh's spiritual pressure wasn't high enough.

Byakuya, Ginrei, and Sasakibe also noticed the key. They sensed that it exuded an even stronger aura of royalty than Kennō, compelling them to believe it was its true Shikai form.

"Yamamoto, your strength has earned my recognition," Gilgamesh declared. "Be honored, for I will show you my strongest Noble Phantasm."

As he spoke, Gilgamesh inserted the Key of the King's Law into the air and turned it. Instantly, countless red, crystalline veins emerged, forming a vast triangular pattern in the sky. It resembled the world's veins, with blood-like streams of truth flowing through them.

The spectacle was so magnificent that all the captains rushing to the First Division office saw it, their hearts pounding with awe. Even Mayuri stopped in his tracks, fixated on the veins, muttering, "Beautiful, so beautiful... How can something so exquisite exist?"

Aizen, too, was shocked, sensing the Hōgyoku's intense longing to devour the veins, promising it could complete its evolution if it did. As fear gripped him, Aizen murmured, "What is that?"

Byakuya, Ginrei, and Sasakibe, closer to the veins, perceived infinite truths flowing within them, instilling a fear of touching such profound knowledge.

Yamamoto, upon seeing the veins, felt a primal sense of danger. His intuition warned him to stop their expansion, but his curiosity held him back. It was the first time he had heard of a "Noble Phantasm" and wanted to witness its power and understand Gilgamesh's capabilities, considering the potential future threats.

Despite his instinctive caution, Yamamoto trusted in his abilities. He hadn't even used his full power yet and believed that Ryūjin Jakka's Bankai could annihilate any foe.

Gilgamesh, reading Yamamoto's thoughts, smiled, hoping he wouldn't regret his decision. He reached into Gate of Babylon, retrieving Ea, the Sword of Rupture.

As Ea manifested in this world, it began analyzing it, which caused the appearance of the red veins. Once the analysis was complete, the veins retracted into the Key of the King's Law, which transformed into a glowing sphere of light, revealing a peculiar longsword that Gilgamesh grasped.

This sword was Ea, the Sword of Rupture, the weapon that could split the world.
