Chapter 25: Molding Saya

Souichiro's bitter, bloodstained laugh was still hanging in the air—

When a sharp click cut through it like a blade.

Saya barely had time to look up before Orochimaru stepped forward, syringe in hand.

She barely even noticed him move. He was just there.

"Step aside," he said, calm as ever.

Saya's muscles locked.

But her mom's breathing was too shallow. Too weak. She didn't have time to argue.

She shifted, still gripping her mother's shoulders.

Orochimaru crouched next to Yuriko's limp form, holding the syringe up against the dim light, rolling the liquid inside like he was admiring a fine wine.

Saya's chest tightened. "That's…?"

"The antidote," Orochimaru murmured, barely looking at her. "It should neutralise most of the poison within minutes."

Minutes.

A weight crushed against her ribs.

Sure, he wasn't Tsunade, but he was still an expert in poison. More than that—he had a genius template now.

And now?

Now he was sure.

He could match Tsunade in this field. Maybe even surpass her.

His hands moved fast, sliding the needle into Yuriko's upper arm, injecting a steady dose.

Saya exhaled, gripping her mother's hand tighter.

Nothing happened.

Her breath hitched.

Orochimaru clicked his tongue, eyes narrowing. "Hn. Not enough."

Saya's stomach plunged. "Wh—"

And then—

He flipped Yuriko onto her side.

Saya's brain flatlined.

"W-WAIT—"

Rip.

Orochimaru didn't hesitate. Didn't hesitate at all. He tore the dress clean, leaving nothing but lace and straps.

Saya's soul left her body.

If this were any other man, they'd be spewing blood out of their nose like a hentai protagonist.

But this was Orochimaru.

The man had the emotional range of a stone-cold assassin.

Didn't even blink. Didn't even glance.

Just business.

Pure, clinical detachment.

He lifted the syringe again, lined up the shot—

Pierce.

Saya froze.

Shizuka gasped, slapping both hands over her mouth, eyes huge.

Saeko?

Didn't say a word.

Just tilted her head.

The second injection emptied, Orochimaru withdrew the syringe, standing up like he didn't just stab a half-dressed woman in the ass.

"It should take effect shortly," he muttered, brushing imaginary dust off his sleeve.

Saya stared.

Her brain refused to function.

Then it hit her.

And she screamed.

"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!"

Orochimaru blinked. "The gluteal muscle provides faster absorption."

"THAT DOESN'T MEAN YOU JUST—JUST—"

Saya threw herself over Yuriko's back, covering her mother like a damn human shield.

She knew it was necessary.

She knew Orochimaru wasn't a pervert.

( PROBABLY )

She knew this was about medicine.

Didn't change the fact that she just watched her mom get stabbed in the ass.

"WARN ME NEXT TIME, DAMN IT!"

Orochimaru tilted his head, looking vaguely amused. "Would you have agreed?"

Saya ground her teeth.

"…No."

"Then I fail to see the issue."

She wanted to punch him so bad.

Shizuka coughed into her fist, face completely red.

Saeko?

Still didn't say a word.

But her shoulders were shaking.

Saya pointed a trembling finger at all of them. "Not. A. Word."

Shizuka nodded rapidly, but her lips twitching betrayed her.

Saeko let out a very quiet, very contained chuckle.

Orochimaru turned

The man was drenched in his own blood, his breathing ragged. If left alone, he'd bleed out soon. A slow, ugly death.

But Orochimaru didn't want that.

His gaze shifted.

"Saya."

She looked up at the sound of her name.

His voice was calm. Direct. Final.

"Kill him."

Her breath caught.

Her hands clenched so hard her knuckles turned white. She had already twisted the blade in Souichiro's leg, had already seen him scream, had already crossed a line she never thought she would.

But this?

This was different.

This was final.

Orochimaru watched her, unreadable as ever. "You agreed to the terms. I saved your mother. Now, fulfil your part of the deal."

Saya's stomach twisted. She knew this was coming. From the moment she handed over her freedom, from the second she accepted Orochimaru's help, she knew.

But still—

"You are my slave now, remember?" His voice was smooth, patient, but firm. "I have done my part. This is yours."

Saya swallowed hard.

He wasn't wrong.

She had expected him to let her mother die. She had braced for it, accepted it. The deal was to save her, sure, but Orochimaru had no reason to honour it beyond his own amusement.

And yet, he did.

He saved her.

That should make her feel happy.

she should be relieved.

But now?

Now she was staring at her bound, blood-soaked father, listening to the man who just saved her mother's life tell her to kill him.

Souichiro was a bastard. A ruthless, arrogant, controlling bastard who poisoned her mother for years like it was just another part of his schedule.

And now he sat there, staring her down, his expression barely shifting—like this was some kind of test.

Like she wasn't capable.

Like she wasn't strong enough.

Like he still owned her.

Orochimaru's voice was patient. Cold. "You agreed to the terms, Saya."

She looked up, her breath shaky.

His golden eyes didn't waver.

"I saved your mother. Now do your part."

Souichiro let out a low, rough chuckle, dark and ugly. "So that's it? My daughter… a slave , a snake?"

Saya's grip tightened.

She could feel Saeko watching. Shizuka holding her breath.

She was out of time.

Orochimaru tilted his head slightly, as if studying her hesitation like a fascinating experiment. "He'll bleed out soon if you wait. It won't be quick. It won't be clean. Do you want him to suffer?"

Saya's heart pounded.

She should.

She should want that.

She should want him to feel every second of what he did to her mother.

But—

"…You're enjoying this," she muttered.

Orochimaru blinked, then smirked. "Naturally. Watching you break is a rather compelling study."

Saya exhaled sharply, teeth grinding.

Souichiro let out another painful breath, glaring up at her with those same disappointed eyes he always had. "You don't have it in you, Saya."

That did it.

That broke something in her chest.

She took a slow step forward.

"Don't tell me what I can and can't do," she said, her voice like steel.

She raised the katana.

Orochimaru smiled.

And Saya swung.
