However, before Haruto could continue, Jie Li let out a soft sigh and rolled her eyes.

"Next time, think carefully before you speak," Jie Li said in a firm tone, but she wasn't entirely angry. She then turned her face back to the television, leaving Haruto still caught in a wave of intense embarrassment.

Haruto then exhaled deeply, feeling relieved yet simultaneously ashamed.

'How could I be so stupid?' Haruto thought, cursing himself. However, at least he had survived a worse situation—for now.

Haruto could only take a long breath after the incident that left him confused and exhausted. Unexpectedly, something that seemed simple could turn into such an awkward situation. Haruto's mind began to fill with doubts—was he really as strong as he thought? Or was it just this situation that made him falter?

As Haruto was trying to calm his thoughts, Mei Li suddenly entered the living room. Seeing Mei Li's presence, Haruto quickly diverted his gaze from Jie Li, trying to act more composed.

"Oh... it was very delicious. I really enjoyed it," Haruto answered with a sincere smile, feeling a bit relieved that the question turned out to be not too complicated.

Mei Li seemed pleased with the compliment, but before Haruto could feel too comfortable, her smile turned a bit mischievous.

"Really? Hmm... then... what do you think about my daughter?" Mei Li paused for a moment, her eyes glancing at Jie Li, who was sitting on the sofa with a flat expression.

"Ugh! Ugh!" Haruto immediately started coughing, choking on air, unprepared for the sudden and unexpected question.

"Mom!" Jie Li cut in, clearly unhappy with the question, her face now flushed.

"So, Haruto... what do you think about Jie Li?" But Mei Li ignored her and continued to look at Haruto with an undeniable curiosity.

Haruto instantly felt his whole body tense up. His mind was filled with confusion, and he didn't know what to say. His gaze shifted from Mei Li, who looked hopeful, to Jie Li, who was now glaring as if ready to attack at any moment.

"Ah! About that...! Ah... Um..." Haruto panicked more, trying to gather his words.

"Come on, just say it!" Mei Li, growing more impatient, urged Haruto again.

"Well... Miss Jie Li... she... is a beautiful woman," Haruto took a deep breath, trying to muster his courage.
