"I see, I see... Hmm..." Mei Li muttered, looking pleased. She smiled even wider, as if satisfied with Haruto's answer.

Jie Li, on the other hand, only let out a soft huff, clearly still feeling both irritated and embarrassed. Meanwhile, Haruto felt his body stiffen, as if he had just passed through the toughest trial of his life.

'What just happened?' Haruto thought, feeling relieved yet still confused about the direction Mei Li had taken the conversation.

To Haruto, the conversation that had just transpired seemed strange. Subtle words and hidden messages were not his forte. Haruto was more accustomed to direct action, and at that moment, he found himself trapped in a conversation that left him bewildered.

Haruto glanced at Jie Li, the teacher at the City Academy. Outwardly, she appeared calm, but after a closer look, Haruto noticed a slight tremble in her hands. A small detail, but enough to stir unease within Haruto. Why did Jie Li seem anxious? And what was really going on?

"Haruto, how about it? Can you help Jie Li at the Academy?" asked Mei Li, Jie Li's mother, who was the librarian at the Academy. The question deepened Haruto's confusion.

'Why do they need my help at the Academy?' Haruto wondered. Jie Li was an experienced teacher, while Mei Li was a respected librarian. Both were important figures at the City Academy. This request felt odd to Haruto, yet he didn't know what to say.

Haruto could only nod slowly, half unconsciously. Seeing his response, Mei Li gave a slight smile, seemingly satisfied with Haruto's answer, but behind that smile lay something Haruto couldn't grasp.

"Then, is there anything else I can help with, Miss Mei Li?" Haruto asked, his voice tinged with confusion. He hoped the question would shed some light on this unclear situation.

"Actually, something has been bothering me lately. It feels... like the Academy is being watched, but I'm not certain. My ability is somewhat vague for things like this." Mei Li paused for a moment, then gazed out towards the window of the house.

Haruto was stunned. He hadn't expected Mei Li to have such an ability. Until now, Haruto had only known Mei Li as a quiet and wise librarian, not someone with extraordinary powers.

"Ability? What do you mean?" Haruto asked, unable to hide his curiosity.

"The ability to sense bad things that are going to happen, although it's not always clear. I call it Intuition. The stronger the feeling of unease I sense, the greater the danger that is coming. But I can never be sure when or how it will happen." Mei Li turned to Haruto and gave a faint smile.

Mei Li's explanation left Haruto speechless. Not only did Haruto realize that something bad was about to befall the City Academy, but Mei Li had also sensed it. This made Haruto feel slightly more at ease, knowing that he wasn't alone in his worries.
