Journey to become a God

Chapter 31: The Fairy Gate

Ye Chen found himself dreaming once again, but this time, the scene was different. He stood beside a crystal-clear lake, its waters shimmering under an ethereal glow. Unlike his previous dreams, which were filled with enchanting women, this place was empty, silent yet exuding an otherworldly tranquility. However, something was different—he could feel an immensely pure energy in the air, unlike anything he had ever experienced before.

As he walked along the edge of the lake, he marveled at the breathtaking scenery. "This place... it feels like heaven," he murmured to himself. To test if it was real, he pinched his cheek. "Ow! That hurts. Could this really not be a dream?"

Just then, a soft, melodic voice echoed from behind him. "This is not just a dream."

Ye Chen turned abruptly, his eyes widening in awe. Before him floated a woman of unparalleled beauty. She was clad in a flowing white gown, her delicate figure illuminated by the soft glow of the lake. A pair of radiant, shimmering wings extended from her back, making her appear like a celestial goddess. Her silver hair cascaded over her shoulders, and her piercing blue eyes held an ancient wisdom that made Ye Chen feel small before her.

"Who are you?" Ye Chen asked cautiously, his guard up.

The woman smiled gently. "There is no need for wariness, master. I mean you no harm."

Ye Chen's instincts screamed at him to be careful. He couldn't sense any cultivation base from her, which meant one of two things—either she was vastly more powerful than him, or she had completely concealed her strength. Despite her serene demeanor, Ye Chen remained on edge.

"I will ask again," he said firmly. "Who are you?"

The woman let out a soft sigh, as if she expected his skepticism. "My name is Chu Yuechan. I am the guardian of this place."

"And where exactly is 'this place'?" Ye Chen questioned.

"You are at the entrance of the Fairy World," Chu Yuechan explained, her voice carrying a hint of mystery.

Ye Chen furrowed his brows in confusion. "Fairy World? But I was just sleeping in my bed! How did I end up here?"

Chu Yuechan chuckled, her laughter like the tinkling of bells. "Let me explain. This place exists within an artifact known as the Fairy Gate—an item that you, Ye Chen, are destined to inherit."

Realization struck Ye Chen. "You mean that small iron gate I found earlier?"

"Exactly," Chu Yuechan confirmed with a nod. "That artifact is no ordinary item. It holds immense power, but as of now, it does not recognize you as its master. If you wish to claim it, you need to offer a drop of your blood. Once you do, you will gain full control over this world."

Ye Chen was stunned. The idea of owning such a mystical realm intrigued him. "And what benefits do I get if I become its master?"

Chu Yuechan's gaze softened. "Once you claim the Fairy Gate, you will be able to enter and leave at will. The energy here is purer than anything in your world, making it the perfect place for cultivation. Additionally..."

She hesitated slightly before continuing. "The presence of women will enhance the purity of this energy. The more women you have by your side, the more powerful this place will become."

Ye Chen's face turned red. "Are you saying that I need... to have many women?"

Chu Yuechan giggled, covering her lips with her delicate fingers. "It is not a necessity, but given your unique Yang physique, it is inevitable. Without Yin energy to balance your power, your life force will weaken. This place will support your cultivation, and in turn, it will benefit the women who join you."

Ye Chen swallowed hard. The implications of what she said were overwhelming. He wasn't opposed to the idea of being surrounded by beautiful women, but the thought of it being a necessity for survival was something else entirely.

Chu Yuechan stepped closer, her celestial aura wrapping around him. "So, Ye Chen... will you accept your destiny?"

Ye Chen hesitated for a moment, his eyes locked onto hers. Despite his initial doubts, something about her made him want to trust her. Taking a deep breath, he nodded. "Alright. I accept."

A pleased smile graced Chu Yuechan's lips. "Then, please extend your hand."

Ye Chen did as she asked, stretching out his index finger. To his surprise, Chu Yuechan leaned in, her warm breath brushing against his skin. Then, with a swift motion, she brought his finger to her lips and lightly bit down. A small drop of blood welled up, and the moment it touched the air, the entire lake shimmered with golden light.

A surge of power rushed through Ye Chen's body as the Fairy Gate acknowledged him as its new master. Chu Yuechan gracefully bowed before him. "From now on, this place belongs to you. I, Chu Yuechan, shall serve you for eternity."

Ye Chen felt a strange warmth in his chest at her words. "You don't need to be so formal. Just call me Ye Chen."

She smiled affectionately. "Very well, Ye Chen."

As the world around them pulsed with newfound energy, Ye Chen realized that his journey had just begun. And with Chu Yuechan by his side, the path ahead promised to be extraordinary.
