King of Worlds'

Chapter 35: KOW Chapter 35 Ambush

With a wave of his hand, Qin Yi signaled the Three Generals to gather by his side.

"Remember this: in battle, even if you see the enemy fall with your own eyes, never let your guard down!"

"There are other types of Ninjutsu besides what you've seen— specifically Genjutsu (Illusionary Techniques) and Taijutsu (Body Techniques). You three are experts in Taijutsu, and your coordination of Sword Techniques and Blade Techniques infused with Chakra is quite impressive."

"But Genjutsu is far trickier and harder to defend against. Stay vigilant!"

He spoke to the Generals with a serious tone.

The Three Generals nodded solemnly. They had just witnessed Fang Lan slicing Qin Yi's body in half, only to realize it was merely a clone.

The more they learned about this Otherworld and its mysterious energy known as Chakra, the more they were astounded by its vastness and unpredictability.

This supernatural power reminded them of vague memories from their previous King's reign, when their kingdom also possessed such abilities. However, as mere regional military leaders at the time, they hadn't interacted with it much.

Who would've thought they'd encounter and begin learning it on their first invasion of another world?

"Alright, despite some shortcomings, those are due to your unfamiliarity with Ninjutsu and this world's mechanics," Qin Yi said with a smile.

"Given your foundation, it's only a matter of time before you master these techniques and grow immensely stronger."

He was confident in his kingdom's soldiers, who had exceptional physical prowess and combat skills. Once they adapted to this world's systems, their progress would be explosive.

With the special training temporarily concluded, Qin Yi and the Three Generals prepared to regroup with the main army.

However, at that moment, a layer of hazy dust began to rise from the dense forest around them.

The four halted in their tracks, their expressions turning grim.

"Is this a Jutsu?" Qin Lin asked in a low voice.

"Stay alert. There are enemies nearby," Yang Yi said coldly.

Fine particles of sand floated in the air, steadily increasing in density. It seemed as if a sandstorm was brewing, gradually reducing their visibility until it resembled a thick fog, obscuring their surroundings.

Qin Yi's eyes gleamed as he scanned the area, but the forest remained eerily quiet, revealing no sign of the enemy.

The Three Generals drew their blades, watching their surroundings intently. Forming a protective triangular formation around Qin Yi, they prepared for any sudden attack.

"Your Majesty, be careful. There are enemies!"

Even though the forest was silent, years of battle-hardened experience told the Three Generals that danger was imminent. Amid the strange sandstorm and the oppressive stillness, they sensed a lurking killing intent.

Unbeknownst to them, in the shadow of a large tree, Suna's four-man team was silently finalizing their battle plan.

"Doton: Suna Kiri Gakure (Earth Release: Sand Fog Concealment)," Ishi murmured as he squinted at Qin Yi's group, carefully observing their movements.

As a Jōnin of the Hidden Wind Village, he had carried out numerous missions. He knew that while this mission might not seem overly challenging on the surface, the potential for complications demanded extreme caution.

"Enemy forces spotted half a kilometer to the east. Their numbers are around six thousand!" Sazuri quickly reported the intelligence she had gathered through her sensory abilities, her forehead already dotted with sweat.

A force of six thousand Shinobi presented a significant threat, even to them.

Since their encounter with Uchiha Madara, the team had been moving swiftly. Finally, they had detected Qin Yi's group moments ago.

"Only half a kilometer away? Then we must act quickly to resolve this battle," Captain Ishi said gravely.

"My sand fog can limit their visibility and disorient their movements. The three of you will launch a surprise attack from concealed positions."

"Our primary target is the young man they're protecting."

"If there's a chance, behead all four of them!"

They nodded and a cold glint flashed in their eyes.

Captain Ishi finished giving orders and waved his hand. The squad quickly dispersed, each finding strategic positions to prepare for the battle.

On the ground, Qin Yi and his three companions narrowed their eyes, focusing intensely.

They were well aware that the enemy was near, hidden in the shadows, ready to strike at any moment.

"Are they from Konoha? That's impossible."

"Revenge from the Sand Shinobi? Also unlikely. Patrols from Konoha would make it nearly impossible for them to infiltrate this far."

"This location is already deep within Konoha's forest."

With a solemn expression, Qin Yi gripped the kunai in his hand tightly.

In this Otherworld, danger lurked everywhere. He had already steeled himself for such challenges.

If the enemy dared to come, they would be eliminated.

The forest grew quieter, as if even the birds had stopped chirping. The sand fog in the air thickened further, reducing their visibility to just a dozen meters.

Time ticked by, and beads of sweat began to form on the faces of the Three Generals.

They had fought Shinobi of this Otherworld before, and every battle had come at a steep cost. This was their first fight after gaining Chakra, and they had no idea how it would turn out.

Suddenly, a ripple disturbed the sand fog in the air.

"There!"

Yang Yi shouted, his voice cutting through the silence as he slashed down with his blade.

At the same moment, a figure burst out from the ground, throwing kunai with both hands.

"Whoosh, Whoosh, Whoosh!"

A flurry of kunai flew towards him with precision and power that made Yang Yi's pupils contract.

"Clang, clang, clang!"

In a flash, Yang Yi's blade struck down the incoming kunai.

"Impressive Blade Technique," The figure remarked calmly.

The next second, they charged forward with kunai in hand, their movements sharp and fluid.

"Gorin Kun, you're too impulsive!" Sazuri thought anxiously from her hidden position.

Meanwhile, the mysterious man with the black iron box on his back watched silently, showing no intention of intervening.

On a tree branch, Captain Ishi narrowed his eyes, his face emotionless.

Unbeknownst to everyone, another shadowy figure had quietly appeared in a concealed spot, observing the scene with a sly grin.

"So, it's started? Let's see what you're capable of, kid!"

Back on the battlefield, Gorin had already closed in on Qin Yi and his group.

Yang Yi, gripping his blade tightly, let out a shout and charged forward to meet him, swinging his sword with fierce precision.

"Clang, clang, clang, clang!"

Sparks flew as Yang Yi clashed with Gorin in close combat, their Blade Techniques evenly matched.

Suddenly, Gorin formed hand seals with both hands and took a deep breath.

"Fūton: Daitoppa (Wind Release: Great Breakthrough)!"

A whirlwind erupted, sending wind blades hurtling towards Yang Yi.

Yang Yi's expression darkened as he raised his blade and swung furiously.

"Clang, clang, clang!"

In an instant, countless arcs of his blade danced in the air, slicing through the Ninjutsu.
