Chapter 153: Chapter 152: From Bicycle to Motorcycle

Chapter 152: From Bicycle to Motorcycle

Orochimaru, however, seemed indifferent to Tonari's cautious words. His gaze was fixed on the Eight-Tails, Gyūki, locked in combat with the Third Raikage.

An excited expression crossed his face. "So this is the power of the Eight-Tails? The second strongest among the Tailed Beasts? What enviable strength…"

Tonari sighed, rubbing his forehead.

This was typical of Orochimaru. When something piqued his interest, he would become utterly engrossed and oblivious to everything else.

For now, there was little they could do but continue to watch.

The battle between the Third Raikage and the Eight-Tails raged on.

The two were well acquainted with each other's strengths, having fought multiple times in the past.

Once, their fight lasted three days and three nights, ending with neither achieving victory as both collapsed from exhaustion.

Legend had it that the scar on the right side of the Third Raikage's chest—his only visible injury—was sustained during one of those battles.

Ironically, the scar wasn't inflicted by the Eight-Tails but by the Raikage himself.

Using all his strength, he had attempted a final strike with Hell Stab: Four-Finger Strike, but collapsed before executing the attack, falling forward and impaling himself with his own technique.

This scar, a testament to his strength, was also his greatest shame.

It was a vivid reminder that even someone wielding the "Strongest Spear" and the "Strongest Shield" could not avoid the paradox of their collision.

Yet, his strength was undeniable.

If one were to describe the Third Raikage in a single sentence:

A real man who fights for three days and three nights!

The battle between two such unequal beings—one enormous, the other human-sized—was exhilarating to witness.

Tonari found himself mesmerized. For the first time, he saw the true potential of the Lightning Release Chakra Mode.

---

"The sealing team is here!"

"The Sealing Pot has arrived!"

"And the Third Raikage's son, Dekai, is with them!"

---

The arrival of the sealing team restored hope to many.

Dekai, his face flushed, carried a container even larger than himself—a massive jar tied with four specially-crafted chains. At its center, the kanji for "雷" (Lightning) glowed ominously, flickering with energy.

Dekai was abnormally excited, sprinting ahead of the sealing team and placing the Sealing Pot on a platform near the Eight-Tails.

Panting heavily, his eyes were bloodshot—not from exhaustion, but from an intense excitement. His gaze toward the Eight-Tails resembled admiration rather than fear.

Many noticed his unusual state, but they attributed it to his concern for Kumogakure, his anger over the wounded and fallen comrades.

To them, Dekai's courage symbolized hope for the village's future.

Tonari, however, had to bite his lip to stop himself from laughing, his body trembling as if suppressing some unspeakable discomfort.

Dekai's bizarre behavior was Tonari's doing.

The "special medicine" Tonari gave him could energize an elephant for an entire day and night. Had Dekai been older or weaker, he might have combusted from sheer overstimulation.

The Third Raikage also noticed Dekai's unusual state but shared the villagers' interpretation.

"Dekai, get over here and help me beat this thing up!"

Allowing no one else to interfere, the Raikage invited his teenage son into the fray. His parenting philosophy was clear: push Dekai to the brink, no matter the cost.

Dekai, meanwhile, was painfully aware of his body's changes.

His cheeks burned as if his blood were boiling beneath the surface. His heart raced uncontrollably, pumping blood through his veins like a relentless tide.

Most concerning was his lower body, where an unnatural stiffness demanded his attention. Unaware of the cause, Dekai dismissed it as a side effect of adrenaline.

Suddenly, the female ninjas around him—whom he had never cared about before—seemed uncomfortably captivating.

Overwhelmed, he sought an outlet for his energy.

---

Orochimaru glanced at Tonari, who was stifling laughter. "Focus. If the Cloud ninja fail to extract something from the Eight-Tails, we'll have to do it ourselves."

Having released the beast, they couldn't afford to let it be sealed again without gaining anything of value.

Tonari suppressed his grin and nodded.

---

Clang! Clang! Clang!

A group of Cloud ninja emerged, brandishing specially-crafted chains.

The sealing team surrounded the lake, each ninja taking their assigned position and preparing their chains. These chains were designed to disrupt chakra flow, and while a single chain might have little effect on the colossal Eight-Tails, dozens could make a significant difference.

"Sealing team, prepare!"

"Roar!"

The sealing team coordinated their efforts, but the Eight-Tails was no stranger to their tactics.

Enduring a direct punch from the Third Raikage, the beast retaliated with its tails, swiping two sealing team members into bloody smears.

Gritting their teeth, the remaining ninjas redoubled their efforts.

Furious at the loss of his comrades, the Raikage unleashed a spinning kick that slammed the Eight-Tails to the ground.

"Water Release: Great River Surge!"

"Lightning Release: Thunder Surge!"

A massive wave surged forward, infused with lightning.

Seeing the approaching wave, the Eight-Tails attempted to rise, but the Raikage held it down with all his might.

"Moooo!!!"

Desperate, the Eight-Tails rose despite the Raikage's hold, only to find another Lightning-cloaked ninja descending upon it.

Dekai, now consumed by excitement, landed on the Eight-Tails and grabbed one of its horns.

Fueled by adrenaline and the effects of Tonari's "medicine," Dekai's Lightning Release Chakra Mode surged to unprecedented levels. Together with the Raikage, he forced the Eight-Tails back into the water.

"Good boy!"

The Third Raikage's eyes lit up with approval at his son's unexpected display of strength.

The Eight-Tails roared in defiance, but the combined might of father and son subdued it, pinning it down as the lightning-infused wave washed over its massive body.

"Sealing team, now!"

"Understood!"

Chains flew through the air, binding the Eight-Tails' limbs and tails. Lightning coursed through the chains, intensifying the beast's paralysis.

Straining against its bonds, the Eight-Tails roared one last time, its horned head thrashing violently.

---

Watching from a distance, Tonari and Orochimaru knew it was time to act.

"It's time," Orochimaru said, his expression grave. "I'll collect samples from the Eight-Tails. You stay hidden and gather any useful remnants."

Tonari nodded.

The two disappeared underwater, moving unseen.

---

Back on the battlefield, the Eight-Tails lashed out in one final act of resistance.

Its thrashing horn skewered several sealing team members, sending blood spraying into the air.

Dekai, enraged by the sight of his fallen comrades, grabbed a chain and wrapped it around one of the Eight-Tails' horns.

Channeling an immense surge of Lightning Release, he amplified the chain's conductivity, causing arcs of electricity to crackle across the beast's body.

"Don't underestimate us humans!!!" Dekai roared, leaping into the air.

Clad in lightning, he executed his strongest attack:

Hell Stab: Three-Finger Strike!

His electrified hand struck the Eight-Tails' horn, shattering it with a resounding crack.

"Moooo!!!"

The Eight-Tails howled in agony, its furious gaze locked onto Dekai.

But before it could retaliate, the Third Raikage completed the sealing ritual.

"Seal!"

The Eight-Tails' enraged roar echoed as it was sucked into the Sealing Pot, its cries tinged with bitterness.

---

With the battle over, the exhausted ninjas finally relaxed. Some collapsed from overexertion, while others barely managed to stay standing.

Dekai, his surge of excitement gone, slumped to the ground, drenched in sweat and utterly drained.

Meanwhile, the corpse of Būrubi, the Eight-Tails' jinchūriki, floated lifelessly on the lake's surface, surrounded by the bodies of fallen Cloud ninja.

The Third Raikage approached Būrubi's body, sorrow evident in his eyes.

As the current "A," Būrubi had been his "B"—a bond closer than brothers.

Cradling Būrubi's lifeless form, the Raikage silently mourned the loss of their partnership.

---

Underwater, Tonari and Orochimaru moved quickly.

Orochimaru scraped fragments from the Eight-Tails' broken horn, securing them in a small pouch.

"Got what you need?" Tonari asked.

"Yes. Let's finish this and leave," Orochimaru replied.

Tonari grinned, his eyes gleaming with mischief. "Don't mind if I do."

Using an advanced sealing technique, Tonari extracted the remaining horn in its entirety.

Despite the risk, his gamble paid off. The Eight-Tails' chakra within the horn was his real prize—a resource far more valuable than mere fragments.

With their mission complete, the two slipped away unnoticed, leaving Kumogakure to mourn its losses.
