The streets of Konoha were quiet under the silver glow of the moon. Most of the village had settled into sleep, but a small figure moved quickly through the shadows, her golden hair reflecting the dim light. Ino Yamanaka was frustrated.

Her father's words still echoed in her mind. "You will learn in time, Ino. Our clan's techniques take patience." She clenched her fists. She didn't want patience. She wanted power.

The Mind Transfer Jutsu was one of the Yamanaka Clan's prized techniques, but it was flawed. Every time she used it, she was left completely defenseless. If she transferred into the wrong enemy, she could be killed instantly. That wasn't good enough. She wasn't going to be the weak link. If her father wasn't going to teach her something better, she'd find a teacher who would.

Her feet carried her toward The Crusty Kunai, her thoughts swirling with frustration. She didn't know why, but Raven Kamizuki had an answer to everything. She wasn't a Yamanaka, but something about her made Ino want to listen. Maybe it was the way she carried herself, confident yet unshaken, like someone who had already conquered the world in her mind. Or maybe it was the way Raven's eyes—those strange violet eyes—seemed to pierce through everything, seeing truths others couldn't.

Whatever it was, Ino needed to know what she knew.

The warm scent of melted cheese and roasted garlic greeted Ino as she stepped into The Crusty Kunai. The restaurant was closed for the night, but the soft glow from the kitchen lanterns illuminated a familiar figure sitting at the counter.

Raven was casually kneading dough, her violet eyes glowing faintly in the dim light. She didn't even look up as Ino entered.

"Took you long enough."

Ino scowled, placing her hands on her hips. "You knew I was coming?"

Raven finally looked up, smirking. "Of course. You crave control. You're predictable, just like your obsession to be more beautiful than me, something that is impossible."

Ino bristled. "Tch. I don't need to be predictable to know Mind Transfer Jutsu is flawed, and I am more beautiful than you. Blond is beauty."

Raven raised an eyebrow. "Flawed?"

"It's too slow," Ino snapped. "If I miss, I'm useless. If I hit, I'm still useless because my real body is wide open. It's not enough."

Raven nodded, as if she had already expected the answer. "And what if I told you that your problem isn't your jutsu… but your body?"

Ino frowned. "What does that mean?"

Raven lifted a hand, and before Ino could react, her form shimmered. Her entire body began to fade, the edges becoming translucent, ghostly.

Ino took a step back, her eyes widening. "What—?!"

Raven's voice was both close and distant at the same time. "This is Soul Projection Jutsu."

She moved effortlessly, her ethereal form hovering above the floor. Then, with an elegant motion, she picked up a kunai—despite being intangible—and threw it.

The blade sliced through the air, embedding itself into the wooden counter with a sharp thunk.

Ino's heart pounded. "That's… that's not Mind Transfer."

Raven smirked. "No, it's not. Your body doesn't stay behind. It becomes the soul."

For a moment, Ino forgot to breathe. This was what she had been looking for.

"Teach me."

Raven led her to the training ground behind The Crusty Kunai, where the air was thick with the lingering warmth of the day's baking. The stars above twinkled as Ino sat cross-legged on the ground, closing her eyes.

"Push your consciousness outward," Raven instructed, standing in front of her with arms crossed. "Not into another person, but into the world itself."

Ino took a deep breath. She focused. She felt her chakra stir, then shift—

Then her entire body jerked violently.

She collapsed sideways, half her body flickering between physical and intangible.

Yuumi, who had been watching lazily from the sidelines, burst into howling laughter. "Oh wow, she looks like a glitching television."

Ino twitched and spasmed, unable to move her limbs properly. "What the hell is happening?!" she shrieked.

Raven sighed and shook her head. "You hesitated."

"What?!"

"Your body and soul aren't fully separated," Raven said. "You're fighting yourself. You're afraid to let go."

Ino gritted her teeth. "That's not true!"

"Then prove it."

Raven lifted a hand—and snapped her fingers.

The world went black.

Ino's eyes snapped open. Or at least, she thought they did.

She was floating in a vast, empty void. There was no ground, no body—nothing.

Then, from the darkness, Raven appeared, her eyes glowing like a celestial deity.

"This is what it feels like to be a soul," Raven said. "Empty. Free."

Ino's heart raced. "Where am I?! Where's my body?!"

Raven tilted her head. "Gone. And if you don't figure this out, you're not getting it back."

Panic rose in Ino's chest like a tidal wave. But then—she heard her own voice.

Calm down.

She breathed. The fear ebbed. She focused. Then, she felt something shift. The darkness trembled. And suddenly—

She snapped back into reality, fully separated from her body.

Ino stood outside of herself. She looked down to see her physical body, lifeless and motionless. She turned to Raven, her hands shimmering with an ethereal glow.

"I did it," she breathed.

Raven smirked. "Took you long enough."

Before Ino could say anything else, Raven pulled out a kunai and threw it at her face.

Ino flinched—but the blade passed straight through.

She gasped. She was untouchable.

Raven crossed her arms. "Now, you need a weapon."

Ino closed her eyes, reaching deep into her essence. A golden-blue spectral blade formed in her hands. She gripped it and swung—the air crackled as the blade carved through the spiritual plane.

Yuumi let out a low whistle. "That's actually impressive."

Raven smirked. "Not bad. But can you fight?"

Raven summoned a phantom wolf, its glowing red eyes fixed on Ino. It lunged.

Ino dodged, but she wasn't fast enough. The wolf phased through her, sending a shock of energy through her intangible form.

Ino clenched her jaw.

Think like a soul.

She moved differently, gliding rather than running. Her spectral blade flashed as she struck, slicing through the wolf's core. With one final strike, the beast dissolved into mist.

Victory.

Ino collapsed back into her body, panting. Raven nodded in approval. "Not bad. But you have a long way to go."

Ino smirked. "Then let's keep going."

Yuumi stretched. "Raven, you keep collecting strong women. You might just become The Sage Of The Yuri Path."

Raven grinned. " Shh, dont give the secret away."
