Lego Ninjago: I'm Morro little brother

Chapter 4: Chapter Three: Smoke and Wisdom

The journey from the ravaged village marked the beginning of a new chapter for both Rudra and Cinder. The boy's determination to learn and grow reminded Rudra of himself when he had first trained under Master Wu. Now, with the Zephyr Fans at his side and the memories of his past life as Sanemi Shinazugawa coursing through his mind, Rudra felt an even greater responsibility to guide those around him.

They travelled for days, the Wind Dragon flying high above the forests and hills, its powerful wings carrying them effortlessly. During their travels, Rudra taught Cinder what he could about control and discipline. The boy's smoke element was potent but wild, lacking the finesse needed to truly harness its power.

"Focus your breathing," Rudra advised as they stopped to rest near a river. "The smoke is an extension of you. If your mind is chaotic, your element will be too."

Cinder frowned, closing his eyes and attempting to steady his breathing. Black tendrils of smoke swirled around his hands, flickering like restless shadows. "It's hard," he admitted. "It feels like it has a mind of its own."

Rudra knelt beside him, placing a hand on his shoulder. "It's not about controlling it. It's about understanding it. Smoke is unpredictable, but it's also adaptable. Find its rhythm, and it will follow your lead."

Their lessons continued as they ventured closer to the Monastery of Spinjitzu. Along the way, Rudra shared stories of his training under Master Wu and the lessons he'd learned about balance, patience, and perseverance. Cinder listened intently, soaking in every word.

As they approached the monastery, Rudra felt a familiar sense of peace wash over him. The ancient structure stood atop a cliff, its red and gold roofs gleaming in the sunlight. The Wind Dragon landed gracefully in the courtyard, and the two boys dismounted. Cinder looked around in awe, his eyes wide as he took in the grandeur of the place.

Master Wu emerged from the main hall, his long white beard swaying gently in the breeze. His piercing gaze softened as he saw Rudra. "Welcome back, Rudra," he said warmly. "I see you've brought a guest."

Rudra stepped forward and bowed respectfully. "Master Wu, this is Cinder. He's the current Elemental Master of Smoke and has agreed to join us."

Wu's eyes narrowed slightly as he studied Cinder. "Elemental Master of Smoke, you say? A rare gift. Tell me, young one, why do you wish to train with us?"

Cinder hesitated, his hands clenching at his sides. "My village was destroyed," he said quietly. "I couldn't do enough to protect it. I don't want that to happen again. I want to get stronger so I can make a difference."

Wu nodded thoughtfully. "A noble goal. But strength alone will not bring peace. You must also cultivate wisdom and understanding. Are you prepared to walk that path?"

Cinder met Wu's gaze with determination. "Yes. I'll do whatever it takes."

"Very well," Wu said, gesturing for them to follow him inside. "Come, both of you. There is much to discuss."

The interior of the monastery was serene, filled with the faint scent of incense and the soft hum of wind chimes. Wu led them to a spacious training hall, where scrolls and weapons lined the walls. He turned to Rudra, his expression serious.

"You have grown, Rudra," Wu said. "The Zephyr Fans suit you well. I sense that your journey to obtain them was no easy feat."

Rudra nodded, recounting his encounter with the Wind Dragon and the awakening of his memories. Wu listened carefully, his eyes never leaving Rudra's face.

"Sanemi Shinazugawa," Wu murmured. "A powerful name, and a powerful legacy. But remember, Rudra, you are more than your past lives. Use their lessons wisely, but do not let them define you."

"I understand, Master Wu," Rudra said. "I'll do my best."

Turning to Cinder, Wu smiled faintly. "You, young one, have a fire in your heart. Smoke may obscure and confound, but it can also protect and reveal. In time, you will learn to wield it with precision. For now, let us focus on building your foundation."

Over the following weeks, Cinder trained alongside Rudra under Wu's guidance. The two boys pushed each other to improve, their bond growing stronger with each passing day. Rudra's experience and discipline balanced Cinder's raw energy and determination, and together they began to form a formidable partnership.

One afternoon, as they practised in the courtyard, Wu approached them with a thoughtful expression. "The winds are shifting," he said. "There is a great threat rising in Ninjago. You two must be ready for what lies ahead."

Rudra and Cinder exchanged determined glances. "We won't let you down, Master Wu," Rudra said.

Wu's smile was faint but full of pride. "I know you won't. Together, we will face whatever comes our way. For now, rest. Tomorrow, your training will intensify."

As night fell over the monastery, Rudra stood at the edge of the cliff, gazing out at the stars. The Wind Dragon perched beside him, its emerald eyes glowing softly in the darkness. Cinder joined him, a newfound confidence in his posture.

"Thanks for bringing me here," Cinder said quietly. "I don't know where I'd be without you."

Rudra smiled. "We're in this together now. Just remember, the wind and smoke might seem like opposites, but they're stronger when they work as one."

Cinder nodded, a determined look in his eyes. Together, they stood in silence, the wind carrying their resolve into the night. The path ahead was uncertain, but with each other's support and Wu's guidance, they were ready to face whatever challenges awaited them.
