Martial Peak: Origin Chaos Emperor

In a clearing among the back side of the High Heaven Pavilion mountain, two youths of similar age stood facing each other with a 10 meter distance between them.

Wang Feng looked at Yang Kai and turned serious. No matter what Yang Kai's current state was, he still had more experience of fighting with others, So Wang Feng had to be serious.

After readying himself and seeing his opponent not moving, Wang Feng slammed his right foot on the ground, propelling him forward.

In a second, Wang Feng was upon Yang Kai and punched out with his left hand. As expected, Yang Kai reacted with shifting his body slightly, making the punch miss by half and inch before punching Wang Feng with his right hand.

Wang Feng used his right hand to grab Yang Kai's right fist, while also bending his left hand, that was nearly an inch away from Yang Kai's face, to deliver an elbow strike. Yang Kai saw this and swiftly raised his left forearm and blocked the elbow strike.

At the same time, Yang Kai made a small jump and kicked Wang Feng in the stomach with both his feet, breaking the deadlock by sending Wang Feng flying back a few feet.

*Ugh* Wang Feng grunted slightly, feeling the kick, and flipped his body, landing on his feet. Just as he gained his footing, Wang Feng bended his waist backwards, dodging a punch from Yang Kai.

Wang Feng bended back completely, placing his hands on the ground beneth him and bringing his legs up, delivering a kicking upper-cut to Yang Kai's chin. Yang Kai's eyes widened and before he could react, the kick landed perfectly, sending his soaring more than a few steps back, while Wang Feng pushed his hands against the ground with force, making him a small leap and landing on his feet again.

"Your pretty good ...", Yang Kai spoke as he rose up slightly. He stood up while rubbed his chin and continued, "..you wanna continue?". Wang Feng grinned, "you bet!"

The two then continued to spar for an hour, both landing hits on the others. Wang Feng had more brute strength while Yang Kai had more practical experience fighting body tempering realm cultivators.

After their sparing match, Wang Feng insistently gave Yang Kai a bottle of blood clotting cream, who did his best to not take it, but eventually relented.

Wang Feng then walked back to his cabin while thinking about the sparing matches he had with Yang Kai. 'I need to have more practical experience to have better battle instincts.'

That was the conclusion Wang Feng had arrived upon. He didn't know if Yang Kai already had experience fighting body tempering beasts or not, but one thing was certain. Yang Kai had great battle instincts. He could react to the opponents moves to the best possible way that is efficient for himself and that only comes through many years of battling with stronger individuals.

Wang Feng soon reached his cabin and after arriving, he sat down on the cultivation mat in his room to meditate. He meditated for an hour, feeling as if all his exhaustion from earlier had disappeared.

He then stood up from the mat, deciding it was time to get back to his practicing. He again started to go through the 1st set of Meridian Opening Technique, wanting to breakthrough to the next stage quickly.

He could have used one of the Pills to accelerate his breakthrough speed, but he wanted to see how long it would take him to do so by himself, to measure his innate talent.

It has been a week since Wang Feng made his first contact with Yang Kai. After returning to his cabin that day, Wang Feng continued to train for nearly 2 and a half hours, before he stopped.

After which, he rested for a bit, ate something, meditated a bit and practiced again.

This same routine then continued for him over this whole week. In the morning of every other day, he would visit Yang Kai and the two would spar for hours, after returning he would rest a bit, practice his technique, eat something, meditate, then again practice.

On the fourth day, he was able to open his first meridian. As he did, he felt as if he had been liberated from some kind of restrain, thought there wasn't nearly any increase in his strength at all.

But that was alright as this meridian opening stages was more like a preparation for the next stages which was the pulse condensing stages.

During this week, his relation with Yang Kai could be said to have increased from strangers to friends, which was a big win in Wang Feng's book.

Today was the 8th day of the month, the day the desciples are given their contribution points.

Wang Feng was currently in his room, thinking about what to do. With a frown on his face, Wang Feng was thinking to himself, 'what should I do? Hmmm... I don't currently need anything, not to mention that I have the pills the system gave me. So, I should save the points for now. Yeah let's go with that.'

Wang Feng had only been cultivating with his own efforts this week to gauge his innate talent and to say that he was not happy was an understatement. According to his estimate, it would have taken him a few months to reach the peak of the 9th Stage Body Forging Realm, without any help from pills and such.

But now, with the appraisal complete, he decided that he should start using the system rewards. So he ordered the system, "open Inventory."

Confused by the sudden arrival of the 'MORTAL Realms Pack', Wang Feng looked at the Main Menu of the system to see what was happening. When he opened the main menu, there was the same sign of '*' attached to the Mission Tab.

Even more confused, Wang Feng clicked on the Mission Tab, opening it.

When the screen came in front of him, he was shocked as he hadn't seen the Hidden Mission before, 'well, considering it's a hidden mission, it might have appeared after completion.'

Wang Feng thought with a weary smile. He hadn't checked his mission tab, nor his inventory for the past week so he didn't know about the completion of this Hidden Mission.

Shaking his head to clear away any distracting thoughts, Wang Feng decided to open the 'Pack' in his inventory, the prospect filling him with excitement.

"That..!!", Wang Feng's eyes widened in disbelief, his hand trembled in excitement, he couldn't believe that a single Pack could give him so much. He even pinched himself, but the pain told him that it was all real.

He first focused on the Pills rewarded in this Pack. Excluding the Qi Essence Pill, all the pills were for each of the MORTAL Realms he had made for his Cultivation System.

The Qi Essence Pill on the other hand was like an adapted version of Qi Replenishing Pills, but was many times stronger.

He also got 10,000 spirit stones which should be a lot more than enough for him to advance smoothly till the realm equivalent to Immortal Ascension Realm.

Next he got a Mysterious Grade Qi Gathering Array and Isolation Barrier Array which will help him make an excellent cultivation spot for him, though he would need to find one first.

Last but not least, the Mysterious Grade weapon. Wang Feng didn't think he'd have a chance to get a good weapon this early. Though, he technically can't use that weapon till he reaches at least the 3rd Realm of his Cultivation System.

Closing his eyes for a moment, Wang Feng took a deep breath *fueee*, "With these rewards and all the other treasures in this world, I might be able to reach the Peak of the MORTAL Realms before Yang Bai attacks the sect."

Wang Feng who had been feeling a little dispirited by his innate talent was filled with a renewed spirit. With that high spirit, he took out the only pills he could use right now, aka the body refining pills.

Popping the pill into his mouth, Wang Feng felt it instantly desolve into his mouth. He then started to go through the 2nd set of stances of his meridian opening technique.

The effect was effective to him within five minutes. The previous day, he had started to feel the strain on his body when he practiced the technique for more than 15 minutes. But after taking the pill, he started to feel it within five minutes of his practice.

'So, the pill accelerates the effectiveness in this way.' Wang Feng thought in realization. 'Not only did the strain come quicker, its also increasing at a really fast pace.'

Yang Feng continued to practice and could barely hold on for 45 minutes before he fell to the ground from exhaustion, breathing heavily.

"*Haah* *Haah*... Man *Haah* ... *Feu*", Wang Feng collected himself and sat down cross-legged before he started to meditate.
