MARVEL'S MONSTER HUNTER WORLD

Chapter 47: THE HUNTER'S FEAST AND SHIELD'S DEAL

Nick Fury looked at Watson, who had quickly calculated the amount of potions and their price. His face darkened. "If you go into business, I feel like Stark would go bankrupt!"

"Overstatement," Watson said, then smirked. "By the way, Natasha's car—are you reimbursing that?"

"I used to, but not anymore," Fury replied, barely holding back his irritation.

"Stingy," Watson muttered, then left the office on his own.

House of Roar

"Laura's speed is extraordinary," Watson said as he got out of the car. "Colson, want to come in for a bit?"

"No, I still have a task." Coulson hesitated for a moment before awkwardly asking, "Uh… do you have any more of that endurance potion? The effect is… um… quite good." His ears turned slightly red.

Watson chuckled, opened his inventory, and took out six small bottles of the endurance potion. "Relax, take them," he said, placing them in the back seat of Laura's car.

Coulson shook his head. "No, buddy, I don't have the money for that."

"Don't worry about it," Watson said. "Actually, I do have a favor to ask. Natasha's car—Chevrolet Corvette C7, right? The couple's model...?"

Coulson sighed. "Leave the car to me. As for your house, I think there's someone better suited for that—Agent Romanoff. Don't forget, she's a senior Level 7 agent. And she'll be stationed in New York soon."

"Sounds good."

After seeing Coulson off, Watson turned to face the empty house.

"Hmm... should I try making a nice dinner?" He pondered. "It shouldn't be too hard for me. I mean, I am a hunter!"

At the very least, he knew how to roast meat. But if he wanted special effects, would he need dragon meat?

For a moment, he considered summoning one of his monsters just to take a small cut… but ultimately decided against it.

Instead, he called for Jett to take him to the supermarket.

The Art of Cooking… or Burning?

For once, the shopping trip was uneventful—no robbers, no mutants, nothing. Watson almost felt like he wasn't the protagonist of a story.

Back home, he decided to test out his cooking skills. He set up a grill, skewered a piece of thigh meat, and lit the fire.

Five minutes later, the entire piece was charred black.

"...System, as a hunter, why can't I even barbecue properly?"

Ding! Barbecue requires Monster Hunter World attribute energy.

Watson frowned. "Attribute energy…?" Then he glanced at his armored gauntlets.

Summoning a small controlled flame, he carefully held the meat over the fire. As the meat cooked, an upbeat melody played in his mind—a familiar BGM.

The meat turned golden brown, juices dripping, filling the air with a mouth-watering aroma.

"I… I did it!"

He eagerly took a bite.

Ding! Fully Cooked Meat obtained!

Effect: 8 hours of increased stamina and a 20% boost to physique.

"Wait… a 20% physique boost?!" Watson's eyes widened. This was insane.

Without hesitation, he grabbed another piece of meat and repeated the process.

After four successful attempts, he smirked at the fully cooked meat in his inventory.

"Perfect. Now, time to make the side dishes."

Meanwhile, at Stark's Lab…

Tony Stark stood in his workshop, wearing the prototype MK2 boots.

"Alright, let's start. Mark one meter behind," he instructed his AI assistants. "You handle fire suppression. You, record everything. Manual control engaged. 10% thrust boost—3… 2… 1…"

BOOM!

The next thing Tony knew, he was plastered against the wall.

Back at Watson's place, he was busy preparing soup, muttering to himself.

"Potatoes, peeled and diced… onions chopped… butter melted…"

As he sautéed the ingredients, he suddenly wondered, If Monster Hunter flames worked for cooking meat, would they also enhance other dishes?

Grinning, he decided to test it out.

If it worked, this dinner was about to become legendary.
