MHA: A Villain's Leading Wish

Chapter 13: Golden Bunny

It had been a week since Shinji and Midoriya separated.

Inko still hadn't gotten over the absence of him.

"Izuku, why did you tell him all that stuff? You made him leave the house."

"I promise I didn't mean to, I was just frustrated."

"Still, you shouldn't treat your brother like that."

Midoriya's face fell, Shinji's words had left him with a sour mood.

Guilt swallowed him everyday, but he kept telling himself that he didn't do anything wrong.

He admitted that walking away was excessive but he just couldn't help it.

They had known each other for two years and he still didn't trust him.

What did that tell him about their friendship?

"I probably was the only one that saw us as true friends."

Still deep in thought, he walked to his room, leaving his weeping mom behind.

——

Shinji opened his eyes. It was refreshing to be waking up in his original body.

His dark hair had grown and now reached his shoulders.

Sleeping on the concrete again made him feel as if he hadn't progressed.

The years passed and he hadn't achieved anything except some skill.

To ease his hunger and disappointment, he'd been eating a few villains.

He could feel his power growing with each person he ate.

It wasn't a drastic power gain, but it did the trick.

Police and hero investigations had increased dramatically over the years due to his activities.

Shinji tried taking their appearance but it wasn't possible.

He was stuck with Yuuji until he found a way to change it.

No quirks were gained either.

There were still many things he didn't know about his quirk, he would have to learn with experience.

Shinji stood and went on with his routine.

He took a shower in the house of a stranger and went to buy some clothes from the money he'd stolen from criminals.

The huge and spacious mall seemed as if it was trying to swallow him whole.

Shops were everywhere, and no amount of walking around made him feel as if he'd made progress moving around.

He eventually reached a clothing store and bought his necessities.

He always hid what he bought in a secret stash of his so they didn't get stolen.

Leaving the store, he wondered what else he could do.

Looking around, he saw a tiny store that had some type of carnival games and Shinji thought, "Why not?"

When he entered, there was a small crowd around one person.

It was a luxuriously dressed semi tall black haired girl.

She was shooting a toy gun at some objects, scoring tons of points.

After finishing, she had scored over a thousand points.

The guy before her had only made six hundred of them before it was impossible to keep up.

'Only a minute, should I do it?' He asked himself.

The excited crowd was looking in shock at the girl.

Observing the free food offered based on achieving certain amounts of points, he was sold.

Deciding his next course of action, he took the toy gun next to her before telling the owner to start the timer.

Everyone focused on him.

Shinji had popped out of nowhere and took the spot of other participants.

"Tch," most people clicked their tongues and looked disapprovingly at him.

He waited for the timer to start, but this didn't happen.

"Hey, you have to wait in line," the girl said.

"These guys are just standing around looking at you, I don't see a line anywhere."

"That's unreasonable, they were here before you."

Starting to get irritated, he made a displeased face.

"How about we make a bet then. If I get more points than you, then you have to buy me food. If I fail, then I will pay fifteen thousand yen to everyone here."

Now this attracted the attention of the multitude. Everyone hated him a little less now.

"Fine, just make sure to pay and there will be no problem."

Of course, Shinji didn't plan to pay the money even if he lost.

He was basically a little above poor, there wasn't enough money on his person to pay anyone in the store.

Shinji was just that confident in his abilities even if he'd never used a gun before.

He'd realized just how good his reflexes were when he almost failed to save a civilian one night.

Just as they were about to be stabbed in the abdomen, his increased reaction time allowed him to realize this action was going to happen even before it was made.

The speed at which his claws ripped the arm of the man was unbelievably fast.

Back with the game, he tightened his grip around the rifle and waited patiently for the timer to start.

The owner rang a bell and the timer had officially started.

Shinji's eyes became darker and his nervous system became hyperactive.

He timed his shot to hit at the exact second the bell had been struck.

Shot after shot, the people started to become fascinated by the spectacle happening before their eyes.

Points quickly started going up, and in just forty seconds he'd beaten the girl's record.

He finished with a bang, leaving everyone speechless.

"You cheated! You used your quirk." A man in the audience shouted.

"Well, we never specified the rules did we? I believe it's time for someone to pay up"

Shinji looked at the girl, ignoring the desperate pleas of the audience.

"Fine, a deal is a deal, follow me." The girl started leaving the store but Shinji held her back.

"Not so fast, let me get my rewards first."

Shinji hurriedly went and cashed out his points for packaged food before going outside.

The girl took him outside the mall and they both entered a limousine not before Shinji was inspected for hidden weapons.

"So what's your name?" The girl asked.

"Call me Aoto." Shinji lied once again.

"Nice to meet you Aoto, I'm Momo."

'So this girl is rich huh? Looks like I found myself a golden bunny.'
