MMORPG: Rise of the Primordial Godsmith

Chapter 1392: Meeting the Arcane (3)

"That…" For a while, Valyr was left at a complete loss for words after seeing the proof Arcane gave him.

Though he was still skeptical of her claims at first, that skepticism immediately disappeared the moment the woman in front of him went ahead and copied the energies from the Nascent Rebirth Elixir that were in his body.

Then, showing great control over the energy, she then proceeded to have the energy enter a body she conjured all of a sudden, making sure to match Valyr's aspects in every way, shape, and form.

Through there, he found out that the elixir would indeed improve his mana to its next tier, allowing him to confirm that Mystia's claims were at least consistent.

However, as he watched Arcane do more things with the body she had conjured, the more the young man was left in disbelief, realizing then and there that his knowledge of the world was sorely lacking to hers in comparison.

"…I believe you." With that, it did not take long for Valyr to say the words Arcane wanted to hear.

But then again, his expression turned into that of panic a few seconds later.

"However, I've already consumed the Nascent Rebirth Elixir…"

"What do I do?"

At those words, Arcane faintly chuckled in amusement. "Think about it for a second. Has the elixir taken any effect yet?"

"That…" Hearing that, Valyr paused for a bit, only to then realize that Arcane's words were true.

After that, he then thought about all of the things she demonstrated in front of him just now, causing him to slap himself in the face as he inwardly admonished himself.

"Is this the actual reason why you've brought me here?" Taking in a deep breath to compose himself, Valyr then asked Arcane the question that surfaced in his mind. "To stop the Nascent Rebirth Elixir from taking effect?"

"Exactly." In response, Arcane nodded in agreement, giving the young man a faint smile. "I wanted to help you correct the mistake that you were about to make."

"Please do," responded Valyr in return, his tone now slightly deferential towards her.

After all, although her presence did intimidate him at first, the young man realized that Arcane was merely looking out for him.

If he had been left alone, although he would receive a boost to his strength now that his mana had turned into Arcana, the improvement would only be minuscule at best.

Aside from that, even though Arcane told him directly to be more casual towards her, he still could not help but show a little bit of respect to the personification of magic itself.

Especially when what she showed him just now went beyond the realm of what even peak Divine-level beings could achieve.

Perhaps… it was even beyond those at the Primordial level.

"Stand still." With her obtaining the young man's permission, Arcane went ahead and stood in front of him, only to then place one of her hands on the top of his head.

Whoosh!

Then, without any warning whatsoever, she then sent a massive influx of energy into his body, catching Valyr off guard as he felt himself lose control over his entire body.

Swoosh! Swoosh!

Though he was slightly terrified at the thought that their conversation thus far was just a facade for her to do something heinous towards him, Valyr reminded himself to be calm as he felt the energy she infused gradually fall to a lull.

Making sure that every nook and cranny of the young man's body was saturated with her energy, Arcane then proceeded to do a few special gestures in the air, forming a series of magic circles that hovered above the young man.

Fwoosh!

Then, swiping her hand downward, she then willed these magic circles to merge, which caused the energy within Valyr's body to start moving throughout his body in a specific pattern.

'…' Feeling the mana in his body start to circulate, the young man gradually felt a chill wash over his body as the speed at which his mana circulated gradually increased.

By the time it seemed as if the mana in his body was making a cycle every second, that chill was swiftly replaced with heat, causing him to feel as if he were put into a sauna all of a sudden.

For a while after that, the sensation of cold and hot continuously swapped for him, prompting him to wonder what exactly Arcane was doing in order to help solve his problem.

Though, just as he thought that he would have to endure the hot and cold sensation for a bit longer, that all came to a grinding halt the moment Arcane extracted a ball of multi-colored energy out of Valyr's body, giving the latter a smile as she casually tossed it.

"Got it," said Arcane to him, causing the young man to look at her with slightly widened eyes.

Wanting to confirm for himself if the energy from the Nascent Rebirth Elixir was actually removed, Valyr soon willed the mana in his body to circulate, immediately noticing that there was nothing else accompanying it.

At that point, the young man looked back at Arcane with awe and wonder, being reminded once more that the being in front of him was a being that could easily kill him if she wanted to.

'Thank the heavens she's here to support me,' thought the young man to himself after that, asking Arcane through his gaze after that on what she would do with the extracted energy.

Seemingly understanding the intent behind his gaze, Arcane briefly let out a chuckle before proceeding to infuse her energy into the ball.

"If you're wondering what I'm gonna do with this next… let's just say I'm turning this into the most special elixir you could obtain."

Fwoosh!

Feeling like she had infused enough of her energy into the ball, Arcane then slammed the ball of energy into Valyr's body, forcing the latter to accept it as the energy began to circulate throughout his body once more.

However, unlike before, the energy Arcane previously infused into his body began to accompany this new combination of energy, making Valyr feel as if both his body and soul was being massaged every second.

Whoosh!

Because of the soothing feeling he was getting from the energy, the young man unknowingly began to close his eyes, only to then fall into a light sleep of sorts as the energy continued to circulate throughout his body.

Swoosh!

With nothing else hindering the energy from circulating any further, Arcane soon took the opportunity to push the energy she'd infused into his body as far as possible, utilizing the energy to refine the various aspects that made up Valyr's body.

"…Phew." By the time she was done, she let out a wide sigh of relief as she wiped the faint layer of sweat on her forehead.

Then, retracting the remaining energy she had put into his body, she then used a bit of energy to jolt Valyr back to the waking world, which undoubtedly caught the latter off guard.

"Huh…?" Taking a brief moment to realize what was going on, Valyr's gaze eventually landed on Arcane as he thought about asking her what happened.

Though, just as he was about to do so, he noticed that there was far more strength coursing throughout his body, causing his eyes to widen in surprise as he continued to look at her.

"So? How is it?" asked Arcane in response to his reaction, knowing that the young man was now feeling the effects of what she'd done.

"I feel… a lot stronger than before," said Valyr in response, only to hear the system go off in his mind a few seconds later.

However, rather than a look at his notifications to see the specific improvements Arcane's meddling had made to his body, the young man decided to experience this improvement first.

Whoosh! Whoosh!

With that, Valyr showed no hesitation in casting a few series of spells, utilizing both his mana circuit and incantations to bring out the strongest spell he was capable of.

Bang! Bang!

Listening to the explosions that went off the moment the spells made contact with the ground, the young man quickly went silent, briefly pondering over the sensations that surrounded his body as he conjured those spells.

In the end, he looked back at Arcane and let out a sigh in wonder. "What did you do, exactly?"

"I added a bit of my energy into the elixir and transformed it into an elixir that does everything the Nascent Rebirth Elixir did…" answered the woman with a slight shrug. "But without the penalty and with the effects being far better than before."

"In short, you gained a lot of stats and hidden stats from the elixir, a couple of skills, as well as a massive boost to your affinity towards the elements and the concepts," she continued, giving Valyr a proud smile.

"If I'm correct, your affinity is around… 5 times greater than what it is?"

"5 times…" murmured Valyr as he tried to wrap his head around the concept.

Though, in the end, the young man gave up, knowing that he'd eventually understand how much a 5 times improvement was when it came time for him to start comprehending Intents.

"Thank you for your help, Arcane," said Valyr after that, giving her a bow filled with gratitude.

However, not long after that, he looked at her with curiosity and confusion written all over his face.

"But now that I've lost the possibility of improving my mana to the next tier, how would I go about doing that?" he asked her. "Would I really need to go to the elves to get their help in that regard?"

"Well, I wouldn't stop you if you wanted to," replied Arcane, only to then shake her head. "But no, you actually wouldn't."

"After all, you're the Emissary of the Arcane." She smiled. "As my emissary, you're given the right to practice… this technique."

Whoosh!

As those words left her mouth, a thick golden book manifested in front of them all of a sudden, giving off a feeling that it had come from a time far before the beginning of the universe.

"This… is the 81 Phases Mana Reformation Scripture," said Arcane, her tone now solemn.

"With this technique, not only would it be possible for you to transform your mana into Arcana…"

"But it would even allow you to touch the realm beyond Quintessentia."

"That is... Prima Quintessentia."
