Chapter 1429: Redeeming Rewards (4)
"…Alright."
As the gears making up Alpha's body began to twist and turn to a certain pattern, the puppet's voice echoed throughout the room whilst it tallied all of Valyr's purchases.
"For your first batch of items, you roughly spent around 72,000,000 Labyrinth Points. The most notable purchases you made in this batch are a bunch of spatial bracelets and a set of Solidified Elemental Essence."
"On the other hand, you spent around 560,000,000 Labyrinth Points for your second batch, most of which consisted of buying out all of the labyrinth's stock of certain items," it continued. "The most notable among them would probably be the Drops of Mercalumina."
"As for your final batch…"
At these words, Alpha paused for a brief moment as its gears turned to calculate the total amount of Labyrinth Points he used.
"Oh man…" By the time it was done calculating, the puppet could not help but figuratively suck in a breath of cold air.
"On second thought… do you want me to just give you the rough number instead?"
"Give it to me straight," said Valyr in response, shrugging his shoulders in nonchalance. "How bad could it possibly be?"
"Well, you asked for it…" Letting out a faint sigh at the young man's words, Alpha decided not to hold back anymore as its gears turned one more time. "For your third batch of items, you spent a total of 110,220,000,000 Labyrinth Points."
"…Could you repeat that one more time?"
Taking note of the dumbfounded reaction that appeared on Valyr's face, the puppet briefly felt a bit of amusement at it before giving the young man a rundown on how the total amount had ballooned to that absurd of a number.
"Making up your third batch, you first purchased the entire line of Statues of Transcendence I made available to you."
"That alone cost you 78,000,000,000 Labyrinth Points."
"After that, you purchased the entire line for the right of perpetual generation, and the right of further transaction, respectively."
"Each right cost about 16,110,000,000 Labyrinth Points in total… which brings us to the final number that I mentioned just earlier."
"…" For a while after that, the young man remained completely silent, the gears in his mind madly turning as he tried his best to wrap around how much he had spent in one go.
Fortunately, it did not take long for him to accept and understand the current situation, prompting him to give Alpha a nod as he asked, "How many points are left over, then?"
"Roughly 11 billion Labyrinth Points, give or take."
"And is that a lot, or…?"
"Enough to buy out most of the common and rare items the labyrinth has, but nowhere near enough to buy the special items you've yet to obtain."
"…I see."
Seeing that any further purchase wouldn't really benefit him or the guild that much, the young man decided to stop there, informing Alpha that he had obtained all of the items he wanted for the meantime.
Giving him a figurative nod in response, the puppet swiftly got to work, bringing out all of the items Valyr asked for in the order the batches were created.
Whoosh!
Unsurprisingly, the first batch he received was the batch he bought specifically for the other groups, only to be left at a slight loss for words at the sheer amount he'd actually redeemed from the labyrinth.
Thanking his earlier self for the foresight of arranging the items accordingly, the young man felt a slight sense of fear for what was to come as he stored all of the items into their respective spatial bracelets.
Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!
Putting the bracelets containing the other groups' items in his pocket for the meantime, Valyr swiftly made light work of the items making up the second batch, storing all that he could into the spatial bracelet he already had.
Seeing that the amount he stored in his spatial bracelet was only a small fraction of the total amount, the young man eventually decided to purchase a couple more spatial bracelets from the labyrinth as storage, even going so far as to purchase an extra one in preparation for the third and final batch.
"And with those two batches out of the way, let's move onto the final one."
Whoosh!
At the very moment Alpha said those words, a row of four boulders immediately appeared before the young man, with each one giving off a faint aura that made it seem like they were nurturing a world of some sort inside them.
Slightly finding it amusing how the boulders were colored according to the prefix they were given, Valyr swiftly stored the boulders into the extra spatial bracelet he bought, prompting Alpha to nod and move on to the remaining items he purchased for the third batch.
"Here's the two sets of rights you've purchased."
Swoosh! Swoosh!
Watching as two rows of parchment manifested in front of him, the young man went ahead and infused his energy into them one by one, immediately feeling as if a connection was forming between him and the labyrinth.
Swoosh! Swoosh!
By the time he was done, he felt a strong and tangible connection with the labyrinth forming at the back of his head, giving him the feeling that he could contact the labyrinth, and by extension Alpha, at any place and any time.
"Just to remind you, the effects of the rights do not stack with one another." Seeing that Valyr had finished utilizing all of the rights he had purchased, Alpha thought it was a great opportunity to give the young man one last disclaimer over his purchase.
"For the right of perpetual generation, you retain 5% of the generation rate you achieved during your time in the labyrinth."
"As for the right of further transaction, you have full access to common items, 50% to rare items, and 25% of the special items available within the labyrinth."
"Anything else?"
Shaking his head in response to the question, Valyr soon parted ways with Alpha, eventually feeling himself being transported out of the labyrinth after that.
Swoosh!
Appearing within the cave that housed the entrance to the labyrinth, the young man noted that the members of his guild had been transported out as well, causing him to let out a sigh of relief.
Glancing at the six leaders that were eagerly waiting for him to come out, Valyr gave them a brief look of reassurance before making his way to where Thomas and the others were.
"Thank the heavens you're here," said Meria the moment the young man appeared before them, prompting all of them to look at him with relieved smiles.
"Let me sort out the agreement with the six groups first and then we can proceed with our next step." Smiling back in return, Valyr said these words, which caused the four to look at him with curiosity.
"Next step?" asked Thomas. "There's a next step?"
"There is." Valyr nodded, the smile on his eyes widening.
"But that'll have to wait once we get back."
