Chapter 21: Unveiling
Saki glared sharply at the pale-skinned man casually standing in front of her boyfriend's house, carrying two shopping bags from the supermarket in the morning when the clock in the living room hadn't yet struck eight.
"Why are you here, ugly girl!?" Tetsuya pointed at her angrily.
"I should be asking, what are you doing here this early?" Saki retorted, hands on her hips, glaring at Tetsuya standing at the entrance.
"Of course, I'm making breakfast for Issei-chan. And why are you here dressed so scantily? Are you trying to flirt with me?" Tetsuya teased, eyeing Saki's outfit from top to bottom, noticing she was wearing very short shorts.
The blonde girl suddenly realized her appearance and quickly rushed inside, slamming the door behind her and making the man outside yell in protest.
"Hey!!! Open the door!!" Tetsuya yelled, banging on the door instead of pressing the doorbell.
Saki quickly walked toward the bedroom to change clothes. Issei, who had just finished looking at the food on the table, stared at Saki with confusion. "Who's here, honey?" he asked.
"That pale face," Saki replied, irritated.
"Do you mean Tetsuya?" he asked to confirm.
"Who else but him?" she replied, annoyed that she had to meet her enemy so early in the morning, especially since he had already started a war. "Don't open the door; let him stay outside," Saki told her boyfriend.
Issei smiled gently, trusting that Saki wasn't that cruel of a girl. The door was opened again, and Tetsuya was still standing, arms folded in front of his chest, staring angrily at Saki, who was glaring back at him.
Tetsuya's expression brightened when he saw Issei acting as if Saki had wronged him for letting him stay outside in the cold.
"My body's cold, Issei-chan. Please warm me up," he said, pouting and holding Issei's hand, feeling his cold hands.
Saki's forehead furrowed, showing her frustration with Tetsuya's behavior, which was seeking attention from Issei and trying to stir trouble with her.
With quick steps, Saki ran to the bedroom and, without saying anything, wrapped Tetsuya's body with a thick blanket, distancing him from her boyfriend.
"Hhmmmm..." Tetsuya groaned as his whole body was covered with the thick blanket, unable to see ahead.
"Now, you're not cold anymore," Saki said with a wide smile. Tetsuya felt suffocated and even hotter because the thick blanket covering him made things worse instead of better.
"Are you trying to kill me, ugly girl?"
"Didn't you say you were cold? I was trying to help."
"Don't try to escape and fool me!"
"Whatever. Let's have breakfast, Issei-kun," Saki said, sweetly pulling her boyfriend's arm to the living room for breakfast. Tetsuya followed them to the dining table, though he had already bought plenty of ingredients to cook with Issei. But it turned out there was this annoying witch here who was staying at Issei's apartment. It was so frustrating.
Tetsuya's dark eyes looked in horror at the food Saki had obviously made on the table. "What strange dish is this?" he asked, mockingly.
"I don't need your comment," Saki snapped.
"You shouldn't eat this, Issei-chan. It might upset your stomach. Let's go to my favorite restaurant and have breakfast there instead," Tetsuya suggested.
"No. Thank you for the offer, but I prefer to eat the food made by my fiancée," Issei politely declined. Still, Saki felt so happy, imagining the future with him.
"Fiancée?!" Tetsuya exclaimed in disbelief.
"Yes. We are planning to get married at the end of this year, and I hope you will come to our wedding," Issei said, sharing their plans with Tetsuya. Saki smiled contentedly, hoping that Tetsuya would stop interfering with their relationship.
"Of course, I'll come to ruin your wedding," Tetsuya said calmly, smiling widely, without feeling guilty or burdened when he said it.
"You!!!" Saki growled in anger.
"Calm down, honey, control your emotions," Issei said.
"Move, don't stop me, Issei-kun! I will pull all his hair out until he's bald!!" Saki yelled in fury.
"Try if you can," Tetsuya taunted, making Saki even angrier.
Sitting between them, Issei tried to hold his girlfriend back, not wanting her to lose control, especially to avoid hurting Tetsuya, which could lead to even more trouble.
Tetsuya casually ate his breakfast, not paying attention to Saki, who was angrily ranting at him. He treated her words like a broken record, causing pain to his ears.
His phone rang loudly, and when he checked, it was Renji calling. Tetsuya sighed quietly and picked up the phone, glancing at Saki and asking for a moment of her attention. "Could you please stop for a second? I need to take this call from Renji."
Saki immediately fell silent, but her annoyed expression remained, showing she was still angry at Tetsuya.
"Hello, what is it, Renji?" Tetsuya asked bluntly, disliking small talk.
"Please pick up Keiko from my place right now," Renji ordered in a tone that couldn't be refused or ignored.
Tetsuya sighed heavily. "You always disturb my downtime," he complained.
"Stop complaining and making excuses. Pick her up now before I lose control and kill her," Renji said seriously, without a hint of humor.
Tetsuya's expression became tense, even looking a little panicked. "Control your emotions, and I'll go there now. Just don't do anything crazy, okay?" Tetsuya quickly hung up the phone.
"Is something going on with Aira?" Saki asked, curious. She briefly forgot their earlier argument because she was concerned about her friend.
"No, it's just a small problem. I'm leaving now," Tetsuya said, standing up from his seat, and Issei followed suit.
"Why didn't you say so earlier?" Saki muttered softly. They both saw Tetsuya off. Despite his annoyance, considering he was their boss's cousin and still had noble blood, they had to show respect and good manners.
"I'm heading home now."
"Be careful on the road, Mr. Tetsuya."
"Thank you for worrying about me," he said with a grateful and slightly touched tone. His dark eyes glanced at Saki, who turned her face away, giving him a chance. Tetsuya gave Issei a brief kiss on the cheek as a farewell. Saki saw this scene with her eyes, immediately feeling a burning rage.
"PALE FACE!!!!!" Saki yelled angrily, throwing all sorts of things around her towards Tetsuya, who had already run to save himself from Saki's furious outburst, wild like a gorilla.

.
.
Saki's eyes were swollen and red, showing she had been crying, but the big question was the reason and cause of her tears. Arashi, one of the staff of Asahi café and someone who secretly cared for Saki felt curious and worried, afraid that something had happened to her.
"What's wrong now, spoiled girl?" Arashi asked while wiping down the kitchen utensils. Saki kept her lips tightly closed, her face lowered to hide the tear stains on her cheeks.
Without saying anything, Arashi immediately pulled Saki into his arms, and strangely, Saki didn't feel angry or uncomfortable. She didn't push him away but stayed still as he embraced her.
"I told you I hate seeing you cry."
"Sob..." Saki sobbed, gripping the front of Arashi's shirt tightly, searching for something to hold onto so she wouldn't fall deeper into sadness.
They both became absorbed in the moment without realizing that Fujin had been standing in the corner of the kitchen, arms folded across his chest, watching them, unaware that it was work time, not time for flirting.
"AHEM..." Fujin cleared his throat loudly, making sure they both heard him.
Quickly, Saki pulled away, her cheeks flushed red because her boss had caught her. Meanwhile, Arashi sighed softly and turned his face away, frustrated that Fujin had interrupted such a rare moment with Saki.
Quietly, Issei had been watching this romantic scene unfold, and, honestly, it hurt his heart. He felt sad, but he knew Saki's tears were caused by his actions. He couldn't do much about it, especially not making things worse by getting angry at Arashi. It was better to calm Saki down and not make her angrier. They were now engaged, one step away from the marriage they had both dreamed of. But now, it seemed like Issei would have to ask Aira for help, even though he felt awkward and guilty about it. However, since it concerned his future, he had no choice but to consider this a solution.
Saki's angry face could not be hidden, especially with her red eyes and nose, making Aira, her good friend, worry and anxious. One hour earlier, Issei had contacted her, informing her about Saki's big anger because of Tetsuya's mischief.
"Are you going to stay mad at Issei-san like this?" Aira asked, concerned.
"I'm still angry at him. Don't mention his name in front of me, Aira."
"Okay, I know, but in this case, Issei is not at fault."
"But he's still wrong. Why did he stay quiet when that pale face kissed his cheek?"
"Alright, let's say Issei-san was wrong in this case, but have you ever seen him act special towards Tetsuya or return his feelings?"
"No."
"Then why are you doubting his feelings for you?" Aira took Saki's hand and held it tightly. "Aren't you both planning to get married? And after marriage, many different problems will come your way. Suppose you get angry over something like this and even think about canceling the wedding. How easy is it to say 'divorce' if Issei-san makes a mistake?"
Saki fell silent, her face lowered to hide her tear-filled eyes as she reflected on Aira's words, which were indeed true. Saki was afraid that Tetsuya might take Issei away, considering the pale-skinned young man seemed to have everything in life, even though he wasn't born a woman, because Saki truly loved Issei with all her heart.
Saki has been very sensitive and easily angered, even over small matters. But Issei has never shown anger; instead, he always gently tried to calm her down and ease her anger. Issei was always the one who yielded, but he never protested or thought about leaving Saki. He was always there for her, no matter the circumstances.
"Sob... Issei-kun...."
"Do you still love him, Saki-chan?" Aira asked, confirming Saki's feelings now.
"Very much..." Saki answered through her sobs.
Suddenly, two arms wrapped tightly around Saki's neck, making her jump in surprise. "I love you too, honey," Issei whispered with deep emotion. Saki's crying intensified when she realized her boyfriend was close, whispering words of love to her.
Aira smiled with relief, feeling happy to see them making up. It was true that when there's a problem, it should be addressed quickly so that it doesn't drag on and make things worse.
Meanwhile, at a table not far from where they were sitting, two men with dark black eyes like the night sat, observing from a distance, especially the pale-skinned young man eating a sandwich with an annoyed expression.
"Annoying!!!"
The handsome young man with raven hair sitting next to him just remained silent, looking puzzled as he peacefully sipped a latte made by his wife. He did not want to intervene or comment on his cousin's behavior and reactions, which looked like a girl getting jealous because she caught her boyfriend cheating right before her eyes.
"So, you called me here just to watch that annoying scene?" Tetsuya grumbled, still upset about seeing the couple being so affectionate, which hurt his eyes.
"That's right," Renji replied, not feeling guilty.
"If I had known this, I should've refused to come."
"If you didn't come, that scene wouldn't have been as fun," Renji said, secretly enjoying Tetsuya's heartbreak.
"You've been annoying me all morning, even dragging me into trouble by having to drive that terrifying woman around, and all she did was blabber on endlessly, crying hysterically because she found out you're married. If she weren't our business partner, I would've thrown her into the river to swim with the fish." Tetsuya muttered in frustration.
Renji smiled briefly behind his latte cup, listening to Tetsuya's rare complaints. Tetsuya sipped his drink, then took a large piece of chocolate cake and ate it in one bite. The sweet taste in his mouth made him feel a little better. "By the way, they forgot to mention something to you."
"About what?"
"Grandfather."
"What now about that old man?"
"I heard from one of my spies at the Ishikawa mansion that the old man has ordered someone to look into Aira," Tetsuya said, revealing a report from one of his subordinates, which surprised Renji. "And you know what, Renji, what's even more surprising?" Tetsuya continued, heightening Renji's curiosity.
"What?" Renji asked, his curiosity growing.
"It turns out that Aira has a younger sister from a different mother named Hinami Hoshino, as well as a male cousin named Raiden Hoshino, who is a former subordinate of yours who betrayed you."
Renji's shocked expression was impossible to hide. He grabbed his hair in frustration, never having imagined that one of Aira's family members was one of the most wanted people in his group, as they had sold all valuable information to Hiroshi, who had always wanted to bring down Renji's dark business empire.
"Damn, I was outsmarted by that old man."
"Don't worry. The fact that Aira is connected to Raiden hasn't been discovered by Grandfather yet because I've already manipulated that data beforehand."
"Good work, Tetsuya. This time, I owe you big. If that old man finds out, Aira may be eliminated by any means necessary."
"You're right, cousin. Given the ruthless nature we inherited from him, he is even more heartless than we are." Tetsuya said while finishing the cake in front of him.
Renji remained silent, his face very serious. Sitting beside him, Tetsuya didn't comment because he knew this issue was significant, especially since it concerned Aira's life or death. If their grandfather had targeted someone for elimination, any means, no matter how dirty or cruel, would be used.
Life was truly complicated for Renji, according to Tetsuya. His path had been rough and sharp since childhood. After losing all his family members, which was a heavy blow, Renji could fall even deeper, especially if he were to lose Aira.
Renji could wipe out everyone in the Ishikawa mansion. If that happened, Tetsuya would have no choice but to become Renji's enemy to protect the Ishikawa family from destruction, with the disaster beginning at the hands of their grandfather.
