My Young Husband, The Assasin

Chapter 25: The Embarrassing Dance

Renji and Aira's clothes were scattered under the bed. Don't ask what they had been doing, seeing Aira's bare body curled up comfortably in Renji's strong arms, her face resting on his broad chest, not to mention the red rash marks around her neck, shoulders, and even her chest—clear signs of ownership left by the raven-haired young man. It was evident that the two had just finished making love, rekindling their passion after several months of marriage.

Finally, Renji could touch Aira's lovely body again, and he did so with great care and gentleness, afraid that something might happen to their unborn child, as Aira was now pregnant with their baby.

Renji's hand gently caressed the face of his sleeping wife, who looked so beautiful and enchanting.

"Ngh~" Aira let out a soft moan, and soon her eyes opened to find her handsome husband smiling at her.

"Did you sleep well?" Aira asked hoarsely, gazing softly at Renji's handsome face.

Renji's arms tightened around Aira, burying his face in the crook of her neck, where he could smell the scent of lavender mixed with the sweat from their earlier lovemaking. It made Renji feel a little aroused again, but he held back with all his might for the sake of the baby in Aira's womb.

"Anata."

"Hm."

"It seems the little one is hungry." Aira giggled, her cheeks tinged with pink as her stomach growled.

"I'll make something for you, but no ramen or spicy food."

Aira's face immediately pouted in frustration. She had just been craving instant ramen with a sunny-side-up egg and a sprinkle of chilli powder on top, but Renji had already forbidden it.

Renji gave Aira a soft, brief kiss on the lips. "Don't be angry because if you get angry, your beauty will fade," he sweetly coaxed.

Aira playfully hit Renji's bare shoulder. "You're so mean!" she exclaimed.

"Tomorrow, I'll make your ramen, but no chilli powder because it's not good for your stomach, Honey."

"Alright, but I want two servings."

"No problem, and you should clean yourself up while I cook." Renji pinched Aira's right cheek playfully.

"Hm." Aira nodded obediently.

Renji got out from under the blanket covering his bare body, turning his back to Aira as he searched for his clothes, which he had thrown carelessly earlier, unaware that Aira's eyes were secretly admiring his athletic physique.

It was no wonder that many girls out there had fallen for Renji. Besides being handsome and wealthy, his body was impressive for someone under 20. Considering all of Renji's qualities, Aira couldn't help but feel like the luckiest woman to be his life partner.

Wearing only pants and a plain white T-shirt, Renji headed to the kitchen and began rummaging through the fridge to see what ingredients were available. While Aira was busy cleaning up in the bathroom, she didn't notice that Renji's phone was ringing—an unknown number calling repeatedly.

As she was changing clothes, the unknown number called again, and this time, Aira answered. She was afraid that it might be someone important looking for Renji or a call from his office, given that Renji was a key figure in the company.

"Hello," Aira said into the phone.

(Who are you, bitch? Where's my Honey?) a woman's voice snapped angrily from the other end.

"Sorry, I think you have the wrong number," Aira replied before hanging up Renji's phone.

"What a strange girl," Aira muttered, placing Renji's phone back in its original spot.

Aira felt refreshed after her bath, although her body was still a bit sore, especially with the red marks on her neck—evidence of her husband's earlier passion. She wasn't angry, just a little embarrassed if others were to see them later.

A plate of Renji's special fried rice was served on the dining table after he spent nearly half an hour searching for a cooking tutorial on one of the popular video-sharing sites.

"It looks delicious," Aira praised, admiring the fried rice in front of her.

"Eat up and finish it," Renji said, handing Aira a spoon to taste. Aira took a big spoonful, slowly chewing the rice mixed with spices, slices of beef, sausage, and cabbage.

"It's delicious!" Aira exclaimed with a big smile.

"Really?" Renji asked, wanting to confirm.

"Of course. It's delicious," Aira answered honestly, without exaggeration.

Renji smiled softly. "Then finish it, don't leave any. And if you want more, I'll make it for you."

"Thank you, Anata."

"Anything for you, Honey," Renji said, gently stroking Aira's chubby cheek.

When Renji said, "Honey," Aira suddenly remembered the girl who had called earlier.

"Ah~ I just remembered something when you said 'Honey.'"

"What is it?" Renji asked curiously, resting his chin on his hand as he gazed lovingly at Aira, who looked so beautiful and enchanting in his eyes.

"Earlier, a girl called your phone, and since I thought it might be important, I answered it."

"And what does that have to do with the word 'Honey'?" Renji grew even more curious.

Aira stopped eating and looked directly at Renji. "Who are you, bitch? Where's my Honey?" Aira perfectly repeated the girl's words.

Renji's jaw tightened as he tried to control his rising anger.

"Who is she, Anata? And what does 'bitch' mean?" Aira asked innocently, not understanding the vulgarity of the English word.

"It's nothing important, don't think about it. Keep eating before it gets cold and loses its flavour."

"Alright."

Secretly, Renji clenched his fist, furious at whoever had dared to call his wife a bitch—it was as if they had insulted him directly. He needed to discover who that girl was for daring to disrespect his beautiful wife.

After eating, Aira planned to read a novel while Renji busied himself in front of his laptop, working on office tasks. The two sat comfortably in the living room, lost in their worlds, though their bodies were close. Their minds, however, were far away, mainly Renji's, as he focused on preparing a presentation for an important meeting next week with a major company from Hong Kong.

Aira rested her head comfortably on Renji's lap, using it as a living pillow. Renji didn't mind, even though his leg might go numb later. It was nothing compared to what Aira was going through during her pregnancy.

"Anata," Aira called, lowering the novel covering her face.

"Hn," Renji replied flatly, his eyes still focused on the laptop screen, his hands busy typing on the keyboard.

"Suddenly, I feel like eating shaved ice," Aira murmured.

"I'll make some for you later," Renji replied without looking up.

"No, I want shaved ice from that shop in Hokkaido," Aira whined sweetly.

When Aira expressed her desire to eat shaved ice from Hokkaido, Renji's hands stopped moving. He let out a heavy sigh. This time, Aira's request was particularly troublesome. The distance from Tokyo to Hokkaido was vast, and even if Renji dared to go, the shaved ice would likely melt into water by the time he brought it back.

"How about something else, Honey? I'll buy you shaved ice, but not from Hokkaido because it's too far," Renji gently refused.

Aira immediately sat up from her position and turned her back to Renji. "You always say you love and care for me, but why won't you even buy me a bowl of shaved ice?" she said, her eyes tearing up.

"Oh, for heaven's sake!" Renji groaned in frustration, dealing with Aira's strange cravings caused by her pregnancy hormones.

"Sob... you don't love me anymore..." Aira sobbed, tears streaming down her cheeks.

"That's not true," Renji replied, panicking.

"Liar! I bet... that girl who called you is your mistress," Aira accused, bringing up the earlier incident.

"How could I even look at another girl when my heart and entire life belong only to you?"

"Liar! I don't believe you. You must be cheating on me," Aira cried, her face drenched in tears.

Renji massaged his throbbing temples. Because of shaved ice, they were now having a huge argument, and Aira accused him of things he hadn't done. Besides, where did she even get the idea of wanting shaved ice from Hokkaido?

If it weren't for the fact that the shaved ice had to be from Hokkaido, Renji would have bought it for her—along with the shop itself.

"I beg you, don't cry."

"Speak in Japanese," Aira scolded, wiping her cheeks.

"I'll buy you anything, but please don't ask for shaved ice from that shop in Hokkaido."

Aira suddenly stretched out her arms. "Hug me," she requested in a sweet, pleading tone. Without hesitation, Renji pulled Aira into his embrace, gently stroking her delicate back.

"Anata, can I ask you for something?"

"Anything, but not what you asked for earlier."

"I don't want shaved ice anymore, but I want to see you dance ballet," Aira pleaded, giving him puppy eyes. "Please."

Renji's face turned pale at Aira's latest request, which made him want to facepalm. Renji let out a heavy sigh, but he couldn't refuse Aira's request this time. It didn't seem tricky, but it wasn't very comfortable, especially if someone saw him.

But for his wife's sake and to ensure their child wouldn't be born drooling, he had no choice but to reluctantly agree.

"Alright," Renji surrendered, giving in to his wife's wish.

A wide smile spread across Aira's beautiful face. "Arigato, Anata."

Renji's eyes narrowed sharply as he glared at Tetsuya, who had been laughing hysterically since he arrived, tears streaming down his face from how hard he was laughing at Renji.

How could Tetsuya not find it hilarious? Seeing Renji Ishikawa, known for his cold and stoic demeanour, skillfully performing ballet moves—even wearing Aira's skirt to fully embody a ballet dancer's role—was amusing.

Initially, Tetsuya had come to scold Renji for using his address to deliver purchased items without permission. But upon arriving, he was treated to an extraordinary sight: Renji performing a ballet dance. Instantly, Tetsuya's anger vanished, replaced by uncontrollable laughter that echoed through the living room as he doubled over in amusement.

It was even more frustrating that Aira had invited Tetsuya to sit and watch Renji perform ballet. If this weren't a request from his wife, Renji would never have agreed to do it. His pride as a man was wounded, and he knew Tetsuya would mock him relentlessly.

"Keep laughing all you want before I knock out all your teeth," Renji threatened coldly.

Tetsuya immediately stopped laughing and glared at Renji. "Can't stand seeing people happy, huh?" Tetsuya snorted.

The two men, with contrasting personalities and ages, were sitting in Renji's study. At the same time, Aira was fast asleep in the bedroom after drinking a glass of fruit juice. Two cups of espresso were placed on the table, accompanied by a plate of chocolate biscuits made by Aira.

Tetsuya sipped his drink slowly, savouring the sweetness. "Why did you send those items to my house instead of here?" Tetsuya asked curiously.

"I ran into Raiden at the baby shop earlier."

"That guy has some nerve showing his face in front of you. Isn't he afraid of dying?" Tetsuya muttered in disbelief.

"He approached Aira and even tried to pull her away to return to the Hoshino residence with him."

"Besides being a jerk, Raiden is also an idiot for picking a fight with you again," Tetsuya said, shaking his head in amazement.

"Exactly. But seeing how terrified Aira was when she saw that scoundrel made me suspicious. To be safe, I deliberately used your address because I'm sure Raiden will keep looking for Aira."

"I see. Now I understand why you made me the scapegoat."

"You're not a goat, just pale," Renji corrected.

"Now you're body-shaming me?" Tetsuya grumbled, annoyed.

"No. I'm just stating the truth. Your skin is indeed pale," Renji defended himself.

"Whatever!" Tetsuya snapped, turning his face away.

Renji smiled briefly, but the next moment, his expression turned cold. "What's the update on Haru Kenzaki's company?"

Tetsuya turned his head back. "Per your instructions, I pressured Mr. Haru to pay off Kenzaki's substantial debts within a month. Next week is the deadline," Tetsuya explained, updating Renji on the situation regarding the company owned by Aira's ex-boyfriend's father.

"Good. If they can't pay, give them two options: either we take over the company, or we raze it to the ground."

Tetsuya grinned widely as he ate his second chocolate biscuit. "You are an expert in cruelty, cousin."

"Is that a compliment or an insult?" Renji asked lazily.

"What do you think?" Tetsuya shot back.

"I think it's both," Renji chuckled.

Tetsuya smiled broadly in response, enjoying the chocolate biscuits until none were left. He thought Aira's homemade biscuits were delicious and lovely.
