Naruto: An Uchiha With A Superpower Roulette

Chapter 368: Chapter 368

"Arrival at the Hidden Leaf Village. Passengers disembarking here, please prepare to alight."

The announcement from the train echoed through the cabin. Temari gazed out of the window, her heart heavy with complicated emotions.

The Hokage Rock came into view, a familiar sight that reminded her she was truly back. This was her home, where her husband Shikamaru and her son Shikadai awaited her.

"I'm back…"

She murmured softly. The past three days had been an indescribable journey for her. Words like disgust, hatred, and anger no longer seemed sufficient to express her emotions. Her heart felt tangled, unable to make sense of her feelings.

The first day had been pure torment, one of the cruelest experiences she could imagine in the ninja world.

On the second day, Yoichi's behavior had shifted dramatically. He no longer tormented her but treated her as if they were lovers, taking her to enjoy the bustling attractions of the Land of Hot Water.

Despite this change, Temari's guard remained up. She suspected Yoichi's every action and spent the entire day wary of him. Yet, he treated her with such attentiveness that she found herself unsettled. He seemed to know her favorite foods, colors, and even the styles of dolls she liked.

That night, she couldn't help but wonder if this was truly the same Yoichi. His meticulous care and kindness were almost unnerving. For the first time, they even slept in separate rooms.

On the third day, Yoichi brought her to various activities hosted during the Land of Hot Water's festival. Many events required couples to participate, and Yoichi assumed the role of her husband, leading them to multiple victories.

While he introduced himself as her husband to others, Temari endured the endless compliments people directed at "her husband." Over and over, she wanted to scream out that Yoichi was not her husband—that her true husband was Shikamaru of the Hidden Leaf, the man who treated her better than anyone else in the ninja world.

But the words refused to come. Temari could only bear through the day in silence.

When they returned to the hot spring inn that evening, Temari found herself still holding Yoichi's hand, greeting the innkeeper as a couple. They shared dinner and even the hot springs together.

On the final night, Yoichi entered her room, but instead of torment, she experienced something entirely different.

For the first time, Temari felt truly cared for, her body and soul completely at ease. Throughout the night, she was the one being looked after, until exhaustion finally claimed her. Even as she fell asleep, she felt the warmth of a blanket being draped over her.

And now, three days later, she was back. Yet she felt lost. The whirlwind of experiences—from being treated as a lover to being seen as a wife—left her feeling as though she had lived an entire lifetime in those few days.

"Temari-dono, we've arrived at the Leaf Village. Are you planning to keep holding onto me?"

Yoichi's voice brought her back to the present. Realizing she was still holding his hand, she quickly released it and took two steps back.

"As promised, here are the contract and the video card. Once you take them, you can destroy them. I assure you, I won't tell anyone. No matter who asks, they won't get an answer from me."

Yoichi handed her a contract and a storage card for the camera. Smiling, he added, "Thank you for your cooperation these past three days, Temari-dono. From now on, please focus on living your own life."

"I…"

Temari opened her mouth but couldn't find the words. Clutching the storage card and contract tightly, she realized that while this was the outcome she had hoped for, the intense anticipation she had felt earlier was no longer there.

"Well then, I'll take my leave."

With that, Yoichi turned and walked away decisively. His abrupt departure was intentional; he had sensed that Temari was pregnant, likely from their earlier encounter.

During the past three days, Yoichi had not only enjoyed Temari's company but also sealed a portion of life energy within her body. As the fetus developed, this energy would merge with it.

If the child were born successfully, it could very well be a natural sage.

Temari stood at the train station for a while, then destroyed the contract and video card before heading home.

She was finally free. The marks on her body were gone, the contract and videos were destroyed, and no one except Yoichi knew about her ordeal.

But what now? Should she kill Yoichi?

As she walked, thoughts swirled in her mind. Among all the memories, the last two days in the Land of Hot Water stood out the most.

"Mom, you're back?"

Shikadai's voice jolted her from her thoughts. She looked up to see she had unconsciously walked home, where Shikadai stood by the door, preparing to leave.

"Yes, I'm back. Where are you going, Shikadai?"

"To meet Boruto. Today's the release of the new ninja cards. Mom, if you don't need me, I'll head out?"

"Go ahead. Just remember to come back for dinner."

After seeing Shikadai off, Temari entered the house. The first thing she did was collapse onto the bed and fall into a deep sleep.

She slept until evening, when Shikamaru returned and woke her.

"You okay, Temari? You look exhausted. Did something happen during your trip to Sunagakure?"

"No… nothing."

Temari hesitated but remembered Yoichi's warning. "I didn't see Gaara while I was there. I don't know when he'll be back."

"Oh, that's right," Shikamaru said, scratching his head. "The Five Kage Summit hasn't ended yet. Naruto isn't back either. Should be in the next day or two."

"It's fine. I'll see him next time. I'll go make dinner."

Shaking her head, Temari got up and headed to the kitchen. Everything was supposed to return to normal now, yet she couldn't shake a vague emptiness inside.

After dinner, Shikamaru played shogi with Shikadai while Temari brought them some fruit. Watching them for a moment, she returned to her bedroom, her thoughts wandering once again.

As she lay in bed, she couldn't help but compare things in her mind. Letting out a sigh, she asked softly, "Shikamaru, are we continuing this?"

"Let's leave it for another day," Shikamaru replied. "I've got a lot to handle tomorrow. Good night, Temari."

He quickly fell asleep, leaving Temari to quietly slip out of bed and head to the bathroom. Washing herself, she couldn't help but compare the small 'remnants' to Yoichi's overwhelming 'presence'.

Three days after Yoichi's return to the Hidden Leaf, Naruto finally came back. The lengthy discussions from the summit meant the Five Great Shinobi Nations were planning significant actions.

There were only a few places in the ninja world suitable for such operations. Yoichi's Kamui clone was already keeping an eye on the artificial God Tree. While it couldn't compare to the real thing, its chakra fruit, cultivated through countless sacrifices, still held immense energy.

If the nations destroyed it, Yoichi would certainly feel the loss.

But guarding the fruit didn't require much. With a pair of Mangekyō Sharingan and near-Six Paths level chakra, the Kamui clone was more than capable of holding its own, even against Sasuke's Rinnegan abilities.

Meanwhile, Yoichi focused on studying the treasures he had traded from Iwagakure. Ignoring the corpse of the strange beast, his attention was on a glowing orb.

After trying various methods, including chakra and genetic analysis, Yoichi finally used his spiritual energy to probe the orb, discovering a faint resonance.

The orb turned out to be a creation of a Pioneer Bishop—a tool for creating advanced creatures. The corpse of the beast was merely a Level 4 bio-weapon produced by this assistant.

"Didn't expect this… What a stroke of luck," Yoichi muttered, his eyes gleaming with intrigue.
