Naruto: Destroy the Sarutobi Clan At the Beginning

Chapter 147: Chapter 149

With a creak, the office door opened.

An Anbu ninja wearing a cat-faced mask walked in quickly. Strangely, he did not salute, but in the eyes of Konoha's elders, he knelt on one knee, clenched his right fist on the ground, and lowered his forehead slightly.

"It's Naquan. Tell me, what's the good news?" Seeing that it was his direct Anbu, Sarutobi Hiruzen asked, his hollow eyes filled with curiosity.

Upon hearing this, Utatane Koharu, Mitokado Homura, and Shimura Danzo also turned their attention to the newcomer.

The Anbu ninja named Naquan said excitedly: "Hokage-sama, Jiraiya-sama has returned!"

As soon as these words were spoken, the eyes of Sarutobi Hiruzen, Utatane Koharu, and Mitokado Homura lit up simultaneously.

In this era, Jiraiya, one of the legendary Sannin, was considered one of the strongest shinobi in the ninja world. If Jiraiya had indeed returned, it would be a lifeline for Konoha amidst the growing turmoil.

Sarutobi Hiruzen stood up suddenly and asked quickly, "Where is he now?"

"Near the women's bathhouse," the Anbu ninja answered hesitantly.

"This guy is still the same," Sarutobi Hiruzen muttered, his face a mix of exasperation and amusement. He sat back in his office chair and ordered, "Go and call him over. Just tell him that I, an old guy, need to speak with him."

"Yes, Lord Hokage." The Anbu ninja responded respectfully and turned to leave.

However, what no one noticed was that as the Anbu ninja walked out, he left behind a small smoke bomb—one filled with I Love You Firewood Powder, a substance known for its strange effects.

The next moment, the smoke bomb exploded, and its contents filled the Hokage's office. Unbeknownst to Sarutobi Hiruzen, Utatane Koharu, Mitokado Homura, and Shimura Danzo, they inhaled the powder.

It wasn't long before they began to feel its effects.

"Um... Hiruzen, Danzo, Homura, don't you feel it's a little hot in here?" Utatane Koharu asked, her face flushing unnaturally.

"Yes, a bit," Sarutobi Hiruzen admitted, his face equally red.

Mitokado Homura and Shimura Danzo also began to feel the heat rising. Their faces flushed, and they started unbuttoning their robes.

Unbeknownst to them, the Anbu ninja outside the door removed his mask, revealing the mischievous smirk of Kirito. It was him, all along.

Meanwhile, in the Hyuga Clan Compound, Hyuga Neji stood before his uncle, Hyuga Hiashi, recounting Kirito's words from their earlier encounter.

After hearing Neji's retelling, Hiashi let out a deep sigh, his expression a mix of guilt and solemnity. "I see. I never expected Kirito to know even this."

"Clan leader... is it true? Was my father really sacrificed because of political convenience?" Neji's voice trembled as he struggled to process the revelation.

Hiashi nodded slowly. "You don't need to call me 'Clan Leader,' Neji. You can call me 'Uncle' as you once did. The truth is... yes. Your father was forced to sacrifice himself to preserve the clan and maintain peace."

Hiashi turned to a hidden compartment in the room, retrieving a worn scroll. "This is your father's final letter. It explains everything."

As Neji read the letter, his eyes welled with tears. In the letter, Hizashi wrote of his love for his son, his willingness to sacrifice himself to protect the clan, and his hope that Neji would one day understand the heavy burden of leadership.

Hiashi knelt before Neji, bowing his head in atonement. "Forgive me, Neji. As the clan head, I was complicit in this injustice. I hope you can one day forgive me."

At the Nara Clan Compound, Nara Shikamaru sat at the dinner table with his parents, Nara Shikaku and Nara Yoshino.

"Shikamaru, you seem preoccupied. Is it about Asuma?" Shikaku asked, noting his son's distracted expression.

Shikamaru nodded. "Dad, what kind of person is Kirito? Do you think he's truly a villain?"

Shikaku leaned back in his chair, contemplating the question. "Kirito is... a complicated individual. He doesn't adhere to the rules of this world. But from what you described, his actions are deliberate, not random. He has a purpose—one we might not fully understand."

"Do you think Konoha wronged him?" Shikamaru pressed.

"It's not about right or wrong," Shikaku replied, sighing. "It's about power. Kirito possesses enough strength to challenge the very foundations of this village, and he uses that strength as he sees fit. If the village or its leaders wronged him, he won't hesitate to retaliate."

Before Shikamaru could ask another question, an Anbu ninja appeared at the doorway.

"Lord Shikaku," the Anbu addressed him, "Hokage-sama requests your presence at the Hokage's office in thirty minutes."

Shikaku's sharp mind immediately registered the unusual nature of the summons, but he nodded calmly. "Understood. I'll be there."

Elsewhere, Jiraiya, the Toad Sage, was crouched near the women's bathhouse, peering through a telescope with a mischievous grin.

"What a view! It's good to be back in Konoha!" he chuckled to himself.

Unbeknownst to him, Kirito was already one step ahead. Using his illusions, Kirito had transformed into a voluptuous figure that perfectly baited Jiraiya.

As Jiraiya leaned closer for a better look, he suddenly felt a presence behind him. Before he could react, a hand tapped his shoulder.

"Enjoying yourself, Jiraiya-sama?" Kirito's voice rang out, dripping with sarcasm.

Jiraiya turned around, startled, only to come face-to-face with Kirito's smirking visage.

"K-Kirito? What are you doing here?" Jiraiya stammered.

Kirito crossed his arms, his smirk growing wider. "Oh, you know, just spreading a little chaos. Care to join me?"
