It was a bright and sunny day.

A gentle breeze swept through, bringing a sense of peace. But—

The atmosphere around the Uchiha clan was growing more and more ominous. 

As soon as Genya stepped outside, he noticed several ninja wandering around the Uchiha compound. Most of them were at least Chūnin level.

And there were more of them.

"Genya, you were looking for me?" Uchiha Shin asked as he hurried into the room. He had just arrived at the headquarters when he heard Genya was asking for him.

Genya rarely called for him so urgently. Could something serious have happened this time?

"Uncle Shin, haven't you noticed? Outside our Uchiha compound, there are already more than a hundred ninjas stationed, watching us!" Genya said, his tone steady but heavy.

"Huh? That many?" Uchiha Shin froze for a moment. Earlier today, he had noticed a few suspicious ninjas lurking around but hadn't realized there were so many.

Over a hundred?

If there were that many ninjas outside the compound, there was only one explanation—Konoha was preparing to act against the Uchiha clan.

He turned to Genya. "Genya, are you saying Konoha is planning to make a move against us?"

"Konoha will probably make a move in the next few days. Tell the men to stay alert, especially at night!" Genya looked at Uchiha Shin and reminded him seriously.

"I've left some people at the hospital. I hope you can protect them. I'll also leave a clone behind," Genya said, staring at Uchiha Shisui, speaking each word carefully.

"Fugaku isn't there yet, but Sarutobi Hiruzen and Danzo in Konoha can't wait anymore. They've already deployed high-ranking ninjas around the Uchiha clan," Genya explained.

He didn't mention that Itachi might also be involved in the clan's massacre. Knowing Shisui's personality, if he knew about Itachi's plan, he would likely rush out to confront him. 

But Shisui was still too naive. Without eyes, he wouldn't fear Itachi's Tsukuyomi, but... he was too innocent, and Itachi could strike when he least expected it.

Itachi had already made up his mind. It was very likely that he would even kill Shisui to protect his brother, the last survivor.

Uchiha Shisui was Genya's trump card, and Genya didn't want him taken out so easily.

"Is that so? Are they targeting the faction of the clan leader who is planning a coup? Or...?" Uchiha Shisui asked again.

"They want to destroy the Uchiha clan!" Genya said firmly.

Uchiha Shisui fell silent. He had already guessed this, and even Danzo had made his intentions clear. He even understood Sarutobi Hiruzen's thoughts.

"Then you must be careful!" After a long pause, he finally said. "I hope you can keep the Uchiha flame alive. Don't worry, if the hospital is attacked, I will eliminate all those involved."

"Be careful yourself. You are the future of the Uchiha clan. If things go badly, take the clan and escape."

He understood the situation in Konoha. If the entire village mobilized, the Uchiha clan would be defeated.

"Don't worry, this time it's a plot by Sarutobi Hiruzen and Danzo. Only Root will take action," Genya said, looking at Uchiha Shisui. 

"Right now, Fugaku hasn't staged a coup. If Sarutobi Hiruzen openly tries to exterminate the Uchiha clan, it could make the other ninja clans uneasy. The fall of one clan could lead to the fall of others."

If Sarutobi Hiruzen dares to wipe out the Uchiha clan, eliminating other clans afterward would be easy.

Other major clans would also be wary of this.

But Itachi, Uchiha Itachi, should understand this as well, yet... he still chose to stand with Konoha!

His heart had already shifted.

After talking with Uchiha Shisui, Genya left a shadow clone in the basement.
