Naruto : I Aspire To Become Hokage Man

Chapter 6: Chapter 6 : Sasuke Thinks He Can Do It Too

---

Since the last time he went to the mountains to hunt a wild boar for food, Naruto had obviously noticed that more Anbu were around him. Now, even when eating ramen, he was followed by two or three Anbu agents, leaving him with no privacy at all.

"Fortunately, I awakened the Sand Sculpture System. If I had awakened some kind of supreme cultivation system, the Third Hokage would probably have sent me to a labor camp before I even entered the academy," Naruto sighed.

Naruto strolled slowly through the streets of Konoha. After a week of adapting, he could now walk normally without attracting attention. Since he hadn't properly explored the village since arriving in this world, he decided to take a look around.

Konoha was built under a massive cliff, with the faces of the Hokage carved into the rock. The village itself was shaped like a round fan, with the Hokage Building situated beneath the Hokage Monument, spreading outward in all directions.

Watching the anime in his previous life, Naruto had always thought Konoha was a small village. After all, in the anime, it seemed like you could walk from the Hokage Building to the village gates in a matter of minutes. However, after walking for over an hour, he still hadn't reached the village's borders. By the time Naruto finished wandering around, it was already evening.

As he passed by a training field near the Hyuga compound, he suddenly sensed someone watching him. Glancing back, he spotted Hinata secretly peeking at him from behind a tree.

Naruto smirked and walked into the training ground. He pulled out a kunai and started practicing his throws. Dressed in his training clothes, he put on a display of what could only be called "fancy misses" at the beginning—so much so that one of his kunai even flew towards the Anbu monitoring him.

But Naruto wasn't worried. "My future wife will fall for me the moment she sees my hard work. Accuracy? That's irrelevant," he thought happily.

Unknowingly, he spent almost an hour throwing kunai. Because of his training clothes, he was already drenched in sweat. His spiky blond hair, which usually mimicked Aizen's style from his past life, had become messy due to the sweat.

With his precise chakra control, Naruto had also managed to suppress the remnants of the Nine-Tails' chakra, which had erased the whisker marks on his face. From a distance, he now looked like an upgraded version of Minato Namikaze. Hinata, still watching from behind a tree, nearly fainted on the spot.

At that moment, an annoying voice interrupted his training.

"Look, Oni-chan! That yellow-haired kid is so stupid. He can't even hit the target with a kunai, and every time he throws it, he has to run and pick it up. He must be too poor to afford more kunai," said a young Sasuke, pointing at Naruto and laughing.

Naruto turned and saw Uchiha Itachi leading his little brother Sasuke towards the training ground.

"Sasuke, don't be rude," Itachi chided, glancing at Naruto with narrowed eyes before leading Sasuke to a different section of the training ground. Unlike Naruto's basic throwing area, their section was more like an actual combat training ground, with artificial mountains, trees, and various targets positioned in complex formations.

Naruto chuckled to himself. "Did he notice? As expected of Itachi, his observational skills are far better than those Anbu idiots who have been following me around."

Retrieving his kunai from the targets, Naruto shook his head. "These Uchiha kids think everyone lives like them, bathing in luxury. Not everyone has unlimited kunai, you know?"

Most of Naruto's kunai were second-hand purchases from Tenten's family shop. With the village's economy still recovering from war, iron weapons were ridiculously expensive. The way Chunin casually threw weapons in the exams made Naruto suspect that Tenten's family was secretly the richest clan in Konoha. After all, arms dealing was always a profitable business—especially in times of war.

He returned to his practice, throwing kunai at the targets. As expected, he continued to miss. Meanwhile, Itachi was teaching Sasuke an advanced kunai deflection technique. With a swift movement, Itachi jumped into the air, throwing eight kunai in rapid succession. Then, while still mid-air, he launched a ninth kunai, which struck one of the first eight, redirecting its trajectory.

The result? Two kunai hit their respective bullseyes—one behind a tree and the other behind a rock.

Sasuke jumped excitedly. "That's amazing, Oni-chan!"

He then glanced at Naruto with a smug expression. Naruto, still missing his targets, didn't seem fazed. But if anyone paid close attention to the kunai he threw, they would notice something strange—his kunai followed an exact, calculated pattern, creating an S-shaped trajectory on the targets.

Sasuke stepped forward, puffing out his chest. "Hey, you over there! Watch this!"

Mimicking Itachi's earlier move, Sasuke leaped into the air and threw eight kunai before adding a ninth in mid-air. Seven kunai struck their targets perfectly, while the eighth and ninth hit the targets behind the rock and tree—but neither hit the bullseye.

Sasuke turned to Naruto with a triumphant smirk. "See that, kid? That's how you throw kunai properly!"

Naruto glanced at him, unimpressed. "Yeah, but you still missed two. Look at your brother—compared to him, you're a disappointment."

Sasuke's face turned red. "Shut up! I can do it perfectly this time!"

Determined to prove himself, Sasuke ran back to the center of the training ground, ready to try again.

As he jumped and threw his kunai, a mocking voice rang out.

"Oh no, you missed again!"

CLANG!

Before Sasuke's kunai could collide as intended, another kunai flew in from the side, striking his mid-air kunai and sending three of them spiraling in different directions.

Itachi's eyes narrowed slightly in surprise. Meanwhile, Sasuke landed and furiously turned to Naruto.

"What the hell was that, idiot?! I already hit the target!"

Naruto clicked his tongue. "Slipped. My hand slipped."

Then, without hesitation, he ran over, picked up the kunai he had used to disrupt Sasuke's throw, and jogged away, whistling casually.

Sasuke stomped his foot angrily. "Oni-chan! If it weren't for that brat interfering, I would have done it perfectly!"

Itachi, however, remained silent and led Sasuke toward the targets. Standing between the two bullseyes, he gestured at them.

"Sasuke, look for yourself. That brat isn't as simple as you think."

Sasuke turned and stared at the targets in disbelief.

Naruto's old, rusty kunai was lodged dead center in the bullseye behind the tree. Another kunai had struck the bullseye behind the stone.

Sasuke was stunned. "T-That must be a coincidence!"

Itachi simply shook his head and walked away, leading Sasuke out of the training ground. Given the recent Nine-Tails attack, it was best for the Uchiha clan to avoid any unnecessary involvement with Naruto.

Meanwhile, Naruto happily strolled back home, glancing around to make sure no one was following him. At some point, Hinata had disappeared. He looked down at the kunai in his hand and grinned.

"The Uchiha are rich, huh? Look at this kunai—brand new, sharp blade. Much better than the blunt second-hand ones I've been using. This was a good haul!"

With his "new" kunai in hand, Naruto walked home satisfied. But as he reached his door, he let out a sigh.

"Konoha is kinda disappointing. Not much entertainment. A few bars, some gambling dens… even the bookstore is full of mediocre novels. Not nearly as exciting as the ones from my past life."

He plopped down on his bed and flipped open Icha Icha Paradise, which he had sneakily acquired.

"It's decided. I'm not going out for a few years!"

With that thought, Naruto settled in for a long, peaceful night.
