Tsume was slightly surprised that lady Tsunade had given such a mission to Anko. According to Tsume, Tsunade would have tried to stop Anko from going after an S rank shinobi. More so, because Anko had known Tsunade from her Genin days under Orochimaru.

'Anko is an adult. Even though lady Tsunade knows her, she would not want to restrict someone like Anko. The pitiful kid has already

been through a lot.'

Tsume came to a conclusion. With the immense load on Hokage's head at the moment. It would have seemed a really good idea to not restrict a shinobi like Anko.

Allowing Anko freedom to operate in the borders sounded like a really good solution for someone who nobody wanted to team up with.

Back at the borders.

"Is that the bear? It doesn't look like much trouble..."

Reko mumbled, he was very hard honest with his words. The bear appeared similar to any normal bear of mature age would look like.

Also, the pressure that he could feel from the beast was negligible. Even a Genin would be able to beat it with slight difficulty.

"It's not that Reko. It's just the child." Kiba replied to Reko. His ninken was also looking far behind, instead of the bear in front.

Shino nodded in agreement as Kiba pointed this out to Reko.

As if to proof Kiba's words, the sound of earth shaking became audible to everyone inn the group.

With the arrival of the heavy footsteps, a bear of almost four meters tall height came rushing in their direction. The dangerous bear snarled as it stepped in between its child and the shinobis.

"Here, this is the one we were talking about."

Hinata said, having activated the Byakugan as she checked the surroundings.

She was already prepared to take on the mother bear. With the strength of her teammates, it was a possible mission for them to defeat the beast if need arose.

Though, her gentle fist would not be of much help against a beast of that size. She could only serve as a distraction as the physical strength of a bear that size was not something she could resist.

"It doesn't seem like we would be able to get past it without any fights."

Kiba said while grinning, his eyes sparkled at the thought of having to battle and defeat a beast of this size. Not at all scared of the menacing beast in front of him, he advanced.

'It is nothing compared to that beast in the Chunin exams that Naruto and Sasuke beat up.'

Kiba was preparing to confront the bear and prove his strength against this beast. He could still recall the size of the sand beast that was defeated by Naruto. His heart still palpitated with fear, just the intense chakra from that battle was unbearable for him.

And he was not going to let Naruto leave him behind in terms of strength!!

As if the bear was able to read his mind, it ran in their direction with a powerful dash, ready to attack.

Kiba with his ninken, Shino, and Hinata stepped forward to battle with the bear.

The beast was double Kiba's height but Kiba jumped with ease and struck the burly bear on head.

The bear was stunned by the attack for a second, but its body was not for the show. It instantly recovered in an instant and slashed back in retaliation at the opponent.

"Gentle fist!!"

Hinata rushed forward at this instance and used her clan taijutsu to attack the bear on its legs. Even though the bear had thick skin, her attacks could still do considerable pain and damage to the bear.

Roar!!!

Sensing the attack aimed at its legs, the bear decided to quickly get on all fours before preparing for a powerful dash, but Hinata's attack had already landed on the beast, causing it to cry in pain.

"Secret technique: Insect gathering!"

Finding the perfect opportunity, Shino managed to use his secret technique while Hinata and Kiba engaged with the beast.

The secret technique of his was used to overwhelm the opponent by draining their chakra. The insects would not stop until the target becomes devoid of chakra.

Roar!!

Once again, the beast cried out in pain but it did not stop. One of its paws random swing connected with Kiba's body and Kiba was batted away a few meters from the attack.

The bear had its focus on Hinata only. It got on all fours, ready to tackle Hinata and pulverise her with its full strength.

As the bear came upon Hinata, she easily jumped away and managed to dodge the attack.

"Good shot!! But I don't go down in just one attack!!"

"Together, Akamaru!"

Kiba grinned as he dashed towards the beast with his ninken, ready to give it a serious blow together with his ninken.

"Beast human clone!!"

Akamaru, Kiba's ninken, transformed into the clone of Kiba as both of them began to bombard the bear with various attacks.

"There's no need for me to join in, huh."

Reko commented as he watched the battle together with Kurenai. He was ready to intervene the moment things got serious, same as Kurenai.

Although, it did not seem like the Genins would be needing any help. The beast was being dominated by them.

'So much chakra but no ability to control it with finesse.'

Reko had noticed the various insects latching upon it and he knew that the beast would turn lethargic within a minute.

The intensity of the beast's chakra was very high. With that amount of chakra and that huge body, if the beast managed to learn chakra reinforcement then it would be over for even Jonins.

Unfortunately, only few sacred places existed to Reko's knowledge, and this stray bear did not seem to belong to one of them.

The bear finally succumbed to chakra exhaustion. There were no fatal injuries on the skin, the Genins had managed to subdue it without fatal injuries.

'Is that why they did not use Kunai to attack the bear? They did not intend to injure it from the beginning.'

"Demonic illusion: Tree binding death!!"

The smaller bear, who was attempting to attack the Genins in order to help its relative stopped in its position, unable to move. It was over in an instant!! 

'This is the power of genjutsu....'
