Chapter 54: 54. Tsunade's intent!!
The Anbu took the two scrolls from Shizune's hands and instantly disappeared from the room as soon as he appeared. His mission was simple, pass the scrolls to Reko Senju.
...
"Good work with the mission. The situation on the border is reported to be good."
Tsunade seemed pleased from the results of the mission and the way in which Tsume had handled it.
The recent reports from the border was good for the leaf village. There were no sign of enemies in the surrounding and it appeared that the nearby villages had given up on attacking them.
"Keep training the Genins, from the looks of it, they are capable of getting Chunin rank with some experience."
Tsunade turned to look at Kurenai standing beside Tsume and complimented her tutelage. The newly made Jonin kunoichi had trained the academy graduates into capable Chunins in a really short time.
She dismissed the Jonins afterwards, there were other matters, and lots of paperwork for her to handle.
'I remember Tsume mentioned that Reko was interested in learning medical ninjutsu. It seems that he is talented enough and has a powerful technique to defeat even a Jonin.'
'Since I am planning to train Sakura as my student, I might as well allow Reko to take part in those lessons.'
'His approach to training seemed serious and persistent. I hope he has talent and patience for medical ninjutsu within him.'
Tsunade did not plan on taking another apprentice, but she was willing to offer Reko guidance. And if he happened to have the drive for medical ninjutsu like Sakura did then she would consider the matter of apprenticeship.
It did not matter to her as Reko would be learning the same thing that Sakura would be learning.
In fact, it would help both of them as they would be a part of a friendly rivalry, allowing them to learn together and faster.
"Shizune, you sent the books right?"
Tsunade confirmed. She did not want Reko to show up without preparing the basics. She preferred to be really thorough when it came to teaching.
But the first few days could be managed even if Reko were to not know the specifics. Tsunade had already given the books to Sakura a week ago. So, it was not that late to catch up if Reko began now.
"Are you aiming to train him as your student?"
Shizune asked curiously. Recently, her master had been really caring of young shinobis. Firstly, Tsunade decided to become a Hokage which she had hated because of a kid, and a week ago she had accepted a genin as an apprentice.
A big surprise for Shizune, a good surprise though.
And now, Tsunade was permitting another guy to learn under her tutelage.
Shizune liked this change in her master. It was far better than the habit of gambling and drinking.
"I am not sure if I would be able to, but I would do my best if they persist."
Tsunade smiled, recalling Sakura's eyes filled with passion to learn. If possible, she would teach it all to Reko too. If possible...
She had seen how the village still lacked the necessary numbers of medics. But it would be inefficient to teach everyone. At best, she could teach the talented ones so that the time she spends on teaching would not be long.
'It will allow me to spend more time outside of this office and paperwork.'
Tsunade smiled slightly at the thought of being able to relax while her student practiced by herself.
Shizune wanted to feel happy for her master, but Tsunade's smile felt really evil to her. She thought of her instincts warning as a sign of overworking in office and decided to take a break of half an hour.
'It is good that I would not have to prepare the material for teaching once again.'
Shizune thought to herself as she went out to take a walk as a break. She was the one responsible for most of study material provided to Sakura and she didn't want to go through that again.
Having learnt from Tsunade, Shizune knew that Tsunade taught differently from the norms. She did not want her juniors to go through trouble. So, she stepped up and provided notes for them.
Outside the hokage building.
Tsume walked away, grinning from ear to ear as she realised that Tsunade was open to teach Reko. Medical ninjutsu by the greatest medic-nin ever!! That's what Reko was going to get.
Tsume had taught Reko for a while. In her experience, Reko was as talented in ninjutsu as his exceptional talent in taijutsu. It felt to her that he was constantly improving with each spar.
The only ninjutsu she had ever taught him was s forbidden ninjutsu, shadow clone! But Reko had managed to get it in his first try, an unbelievable show of talent and chakra control at his rank.
So, she knew that Reko would make the best out of this opportunity, learning and practicing everything taught by Tsunade.
Although, there was this slight bias in her opinion because of her relationship with Reko. But there was no doubt that Reko was really talented and hardworking.
She walked back to her house, clan. The anbu had already delivered the scroll to Reko and Tsume seemed aware of that.
Tsume planned to motivate Kiba and for that she was going to have a spar and defeat her son with ease, overpower him.
Her smile turned wide as she reached her house, ready to teach her son an important lesson. He had been acting really bold while on the patrol mission. She wanted to knock it out of his head.
...
"Another nightmare? Genjutsu? Sharingan?"
On his bed, in Reko's room. He woke up from a nightmare, mumbling in his sleep with tense eyes. Yet again, another nightmare had made a way into his dreams.
Good thing, he did not want to continue charging his kekkei genkai while asleep. This could have caused problems if he used ninjutsu in nightmare.
"I have not even encountered someone with a Sharingan. How could I dream of it?"
Reko had dreamt of genjutsu and sharingan this time. As if his fears were the genre of his dreams, it kept changing and adapting to hurt him most.
Clone memories!!
That was it. Instead of long term headache or other side effects, his body just experienced nightmare from the overload of memories from the shadow clone.
