Naruto: Tobirama Reborn, Invincible in the Ninja World

Chapter 147: Chapter 147: Outer Path—Samsara of Heavenly Life Technique!

"I must still be dreaming!"

"This… this can't be real, can it?"

"Resurrecting the dead… Is that even possible?"

"…"

Compared to Senju Tobirama's previous statement, the fact that Uchiha Madara was resurrected and reinstated as a Konoha shinobi now seemed trivial. What truly shocked everyone was the possibility of resurrecting those who perished in the Nine-Tails' rampage.

"Kakashi-sensei… I didn't mishear that, did I?"

Naruto tugged at Kakashi's sleeve, his voice hoarse with emotion.

After discovering that the Fourth Hokage, Minato Namikaze, was his father, Naruto—who typically hated studying—had scoured Konoha's historical texts for details about his parents. Both his father and mother had died during the Nine-Tails incident, victims of the very fox sealed inside him, manipulated by none other than Uchiha Obito.

"No, you heard correctly. It's true."

Kakashi paused before nodding firmly.

A single drop of liquid—whether sweat or tears—trickled down the sharp edge of Kakashi's face.

Although his father, Sakumo Hatake, wasn't initially included among the targets for resurrection, the Hokage had made an exception.

"White Fang sacrificed a mission for the sake of his comrades. That is not a flaw but a virtue. Konoha needs more than tools who prioritize missions above all else. He is worthy of revival."

Tobirama's words shook Kakashi to his core.

The last person to say something similar to him had been Uchiha Obito. Kakashi's respect for the Second Hokage grew even stronger.

And then there was Rin. Uchiha Madara had promised to bring her back too.

"Sensei is an Uchiha… so why isn't he reviving his own clan first?"

Sasuke kicked a loose stone, muttering under his breath.

Though his voice was low, Itachi heard him.

"Sasuke, how do you know our ancestor doesn't plan to do just that?"

Itachi placed a hand on Sasuke's head, his tone carrying a mix of warmth, guilt, and gratitude.

"Really?!" Sasuke, who had been sulking moments before, suddenly brightened.

Itachi nodded before turning his gaze to the platform where Tobirama and Madara stood.

Taking up arms against his clan and parents had been the worst decision of his life. Shisui had entrusted him with the clan's future, but he…

His parents had faced their deaths willingly when he raised his blade against them…

And there were so many more—clan members who knew nothing of the conspiracy but fell by his hand…

If the Hokage hadn't chosen to bring him back, how would his life have ended?

Certainly, not as well as it had now.

Some were overjoyed, while others were anxious.

For those who had lost parents, siblings, or children in the Nine-Tails' rampage, the chance for resurrection was a miracle.

But what of those whose lives had moved on? Husbands and wives who had remarried, families that had changed over the thirteen years since the incident in Year 48 of Konoha's history…?

Resurrecting the dead could lead to countless awkward scenarios and dramatic entanglements.

Fortunately, Tobirama had foreseen these complications.

"Everyone, if you wish to resurrect a deceased loved one, you may register their name at the designated stations—provided they were victims of the Nine-Tails' rampage," Tobirama announced evenly.

This approach offered people the freedom to decide. By limiting the scope to the Nine-Tails incident, Tobirama also prevented an overwhelming flood of requests for other resurrections.

After speaking, Tobirama pulled the reluctant Madara down from the platform, the two of them settling into prepared seats.

ANBU operatives swiftly surrounded the registration desks in a protective formation, ensuring order.

At the two small windows of the registration stations, two familiar figures were waiting: Jiraiya and Nara Shikaku. Stacks of registration forms sat beside them.

"I only peeked into the women's bath once… How did I end up stuck with this job?"

Jiraiya scratched his head and sighed.

"Jiraiya-sama, at least you got off lightly. I just finished my first day off in weeks," Shikaku muttered, looking thoroughly resigned.

The normally laid-back Nara clan head had been worn down by the unrelenting chaos.

"Citizens in need, please step forward to register!" an ANBU member shouted, clearing a path through the crowd.

The momentary hesitation broke as people surged forward, forming long, winding lines. If not for the presence of numerous shinobi maintaining order—and the Hokage's personal oversight—a riot might have erupted.

The teacher at the front of the line bore a long scar across his nose. Though it added an air of ruggedness, his demeanor was gentle.

Jiraiya handed him a form and pen. After a moment of fervent writing, the man let out a deep sigh.

Jiraiya glanced at the form and hesitated briefly.

Name: Iruka Umino

Resurrecting: Umino Ikkaku, Umino Kai

"Thank you for taking care of Naruto," Jiraiya said, his gaze softening.

Iruka's parents had died in the Nine-Tails attack, yet he bore no hatred for Naruto, even going out of his way to care for him.

"As a teacher, it's my responsibility to look after my students." Iruka smiled faintly.

At first, he had resented Naruto. But as time passed, he saw the boy for who he truly was: a kind-hearted child seeking acknowledgment.

And after learning the truth about Naruto's heritage, Iruka's resolve to protect him only grew stronger.

"Regardless, thank you. I couldn't protect my student's child as I should have…" Jiraiya bowed deeply, startling Iruka.

"Jiraiya-sama!" Iruka hurriedly reached over the desk to lift the older man.

Name: Tsunade

Resurrecting: Hashirama Senju, Nawaki

Shikaku glanced at the form, then at Tsunade's smiling face.

"Tsunade-sama… The First Hokage and Nawaki don't meet the criteria…"

Though he was certain Tobirama would approve, the blatant nepotism left Shikaku wincing.

"What, is that a problem?" Tsunade tilted her head and shot a pleading look at Tobirama.

Leaning back in his chair, Tobirama chuckled and nodded.

Seeing this, Shikaku swiftly added the form to the stack without another word.

The registrations continued through the night until the faint light of dawn broke the horizon.

When the final form was tallied, Tobirama was handed the total: 2,672 names.

Including the entire Uchiha clan, the number rose to 3,560.

Resurrecting so many—especially powerhouses like Hashirama—would drain Madara completely.

Fortunately, there was a solution.

Tobirama clapped his hands, signaling Orochimaru to bring forth Hidan.

After weeks of recovery and a generous diet of supplements, Hidan appeared healthier—plump, even.

"Damn it… You're making me do this again?" Hidan growled.

"Think of your religion and your god. They need you." Tobirama waved the promise of divine glory before him.

Grumbling, Hidan resigned himself to his fate.

Meanwhile, Madara strode back onto the platform.

Under the gaze of thousands, he activated his Sharingan, scanning the registration forms at lightning speed.

"Minato Namikaze, Kushina Uzumaki, Hatake Sakumo, Nohara Rin…"

In a single minute, Madara memorized all 3,560 names.

Then, his Sharingan shifted. Violet ripples flickered as his Rinnegan activated.

The mesmerizing glow of his eyes left the crowd in awe.

Madara clasped his hands, forming the Snake Seal.

"Outer Path—Samsara of Heavenly Life Technique!"
