Chapter 195: Chapter 195: Konoha's Grand Operation (Part 3)
It wasn't just Kakashi who looked puzzled—Minato's expression was equally strange.
Hiruzen Sarutobi felt utterly drained.
The claim that he was the "strongest Hokage" puzzled him endlessly.
Just think about it:
The First Hokage could single-handedly subdue the Nine-Tails, and the Second Hokage wielded forbidden jutsu like casual attacks.
How could the title of "strongest Hokage" possibly fall to him?
Yet, somehow, it did.
At first, Hiruzen had been a little uneasy about it, but over time, he came to accept it.
After all, the two great predecessors had passed on, and there was no need to clarify something so trivial.
Besides, Homura, Koharu, and Danzo certainly weren't going to dispute it.
So, why not indulge in a bit of harmless vanity?
But today—who on earth had the audacity to summon those two?!
This wasn't just a slap in the face—it was a direct attack on his reputation!
Hiruzen had always valued his honor.
The mere thought of what would happen to his reputation after this battle made a murderous glint flash in his eyes.
"To desecrate the souls of these two great predecessors—I swear I'll make the culprit pay with their life!"
Hiruzen growled through clenched teeth.
Minato nodded in agreement.
"Defiling the dead is an unforgivable crime."
"After we send the two of them back, we must investigate this matter thoroughly."
After exchanging a few words, the three launched their offensive once more.
Hiruzen charged forward, calling out to the Sarutobi Clan's summoning beast beside him.
"Old friend, I'm counting on you!"
Enma sprang into action, leaping toward Hiruzen.
"I understand, Hiruzen! Catch me!"
Enma wasn't looking for a warm embrace.
Instead, mid-air, he transformed into the adamantine staff.
Hiruzen caught the staff with a firm grip.
With a quick motion, the staff extended to over ten meters in length, striking Tobirama with immense force.
Fortunately for Tobirama, Orochimaru's control suppressed his awareness.
Otherwise, seeing his student attack him so brazenly with a staff might have sent him into a rage.
In mid-air, Tobirama formed seals and released a high-pressure stream of water from his mouth.
"Water Style: Water Severing Wave!"
The water blade cut through the air like a razor.
Hiruzen's expression shifted, and he swiftly used a Substitution Jutsu to evade.
As Tobirama adjusted his posture mid-air, he infused chakra into a kunai, coating it with a shimmering blue blade.
He descended rapidly, kunai in hand, and slashed toward his former student.
"Water Style: Water Blade Slash!"
Facing this fierce attack, Hiruzen retreated quickly, throwing the adamantine staff as he formed seals.
"Adamantine Prison Wall!"
The staff split into dozens of pieces, forming a cubic prison that trapped Tobirama inside.
"Hah..."
Hiruzen exhaled in relief.
(Reader: "Seriously, Hiruzen? A prison? You're practically begging to get countered!")
And sure enough—
Tobirama raised his hands and slammed them onto the ground.
"Water Release: Water Dragon Biting Explosion!"
Torrential water spiraled upward, the sheer pressure shattering the Adamantine prison.
Meanwhile, kunai inscribed with Flying Thunder God Technique markings flew in all directions.
Two streaks of light—one gold, one silver—flashed around Hashirama.
In an instant, Kakashi appeared behind the First Hokage, purple lightning crackling in his hand.
"Lightning Style: Purple Lightning!"
The burst of electricity surged toward Hashirama.
Hashirama didn't even flinch.
"Wood Style: Shield!"
A massive wooden shield, carved with a demonic face, rose to block the attack entirely.
At that moment, Minato made his move.
"Spiral Flash Super Round Dance Howl: Stage Two!"
Minato fused with the yellow light of a flash bomb.
In a blur, he appeared before Hashirama, Rasengan in hand, aiming to strike.
Hashirama clasped his hands together, infusing chakra into the ground to activate an instant Wood Style jutsu.
"Wood Style!"
Countless massive wooden hands erupted from the ground, enveloping Hashirama and launching indiscriminate attacks on the surrounding area.
Minato immediately abandoned his assault, teleporting out of range.
Kakashi, too, retreated, exchanging a wry smile with Minato.
Despite their efforts, their attacks had yielded no significant results.
As they regrouped, a red-haired woman descended dramatically from above.
"Honey, I'm here to help!"
Minato's lips curled into a small smile.
"Kushina, I didn't expect you to arrive first... Be careful out there."
Kushina nodded with determination.
"Don't worry about me!"
Turning to face their opponents, her expression grew serious.
"Wait... Honey, are those...?"
Minato nodded, resigned.
"Yes. It's the First and Second Hokage."
While Minato and Kakashi resumed their attack on Hashirama, Kushina pouted slightly, muttering under her breath.
"This is going to be tricky... The First Hokage..."
She focused inward, addressing the giant fox within her.
"Hey, Kurama! I need your help!"
The Nine-Tails opened one lazy eye, only to flinch in shock at the sight of their opponent.
...It was him.
Kurama shook his head furiously.
"Girl, you're on your own! Good luck!"
Kushina rolled her eyes.
Cowardly fox!
Always acting invincible—until it really mattered.
But as she observed the battlefield, a plan formed in her mind.
"Kurama, he doesn't seem to be in full control or at his peak strength."
"Don't you want to take this chance to give him a good thrashing?"
Kurama hesitated but soon realized she was right.
Hashirama wasn't at full power!
With renewed resolve, Kurama bellowed:
"Fine! Borrow my power and crush him!"
Kushina grinned.
"That's the spirit!"
Moments later, golden chakra engulfed her, adorned with intricate black markings and magatama patterns.
In her Nine-Tails Chakra Mode, Kushina sprouted four chakra arms and swiftly formed a small Tailed Beast Ball.
As she joined the fray, the battlefield erupted in chaos.
"Girl! Smash him with the Tailed Beast Ball!"
"We've got chakra for days—don't hold back!"
Hashirama turned toward Kushina, his expression vacant yet filled with instinctive menace.
With a clap of his hands, he summoned a Wood Dragon.
"Wood Style: Wood Dragon Jutsu!"
The colossal dragon roared as it charged toward Kushina.
Kurama yelped in alarm.
"Watch out! That's the move that nearly drained me dry back then!"
