This is news because it could slightly influence the course of the story. Many have said that Suiren could be a second Junpei for Yūji simply because her original concept might just be that a mere filler character with a deeply connected backstory. After all, they spent more than three years together (although I wrote an entire chapter for her to give Yūji a true sense of grief, showing that she was truly his best and closest friend very different from his relationships with Uguma and Nobumi).

However, this could also become the first and only curse that Yūji creates. Let's not forget that Yūji now possesses an immense amount of cursed energy, as well as a fragment of Satoru's soul, who is a distant relative of the Sugawara clan (the same lineage Yuta comes from).

After all, in the chapter before Suiren's, we saw how Yūji lost himself in his own identity, suffering yet another loss and a significant one at that. In that moment, he completely lost control over his cursed energy and begged for her not to disappear
