Naruto: Wait, I’m Toneri?!

Chapter 3: Chapter 3

Toneri stared at his own reflection, his face frozen in disbelief.

His blue pupils, surrounded by a flower-like iris, stared right back at him.

His lips trembled. His hands slowly rose toward his face.

Then—

"TENSAIGAN?!"

The mirror nearly shattered from the sheer force of his yell.

He blinked once. Twice. Then tilted his head at an angle, making a stupidly exaggerated confused expression.

"No, no, no. There's no f**king way."

He leaned in, squinting.

Blink. Blink.

The glowing eyes remained.

He leaned back.

Then leaned in again.

Then spun around, dramatically clutching his head.

"DON'T TELL ME THIS STUPID BRAT ALREADY DID IT?!"

A long pause.

His entire body stiffened like a poorly animated ragdoll as realization sank in.

This brat. This idiot.

The guy he took over… HAD ALREADY PREPARED HIS STAGE FOR AN ASS-KICKING.

His hands slammed onto his face. "Oh, I am SO F**KED."

He groaned and dragged his hands down, stretching his skin comically. His mind was in complete meltdown mode.

Still spiraling, he flung his arms wide.

"MAID!"

Then with an eerily smooth movement, the puppet maid glided into the room and bowed deeply.

"Toneri-dono."

Toneri, still panicked, threw his arms up.

"IS THERE ANYONE ELSE HERE OTHER THAN ME?!" His voice shook the entire room.

His heart pounded, his brain spinning in Naruto-fueled paranoia.

If he had this Tenseigan crap activated, then that could only mean—

Oh god. Oh god. Naruto was already on his way to beat his ass.

The maid blinked. "There is no one else here besides you, Toneri-dono."

Toneri froze. His eye twitched.

"…You sure?" He narrowed his eyes.

"Yes."

His shoulders slumped.

"O-okay, okay…" He exhaled, then suddenly snapped back up. "WAIT. ARE YOU SUPER SURE THERE ISN'T A GIRL FROM EARTH HERE?!"

The maid did not hesitate.

"There is no one, Toneri-dono."

Toneri's soul momentarily left his body.

His stupid, spiraling brain refused to accept this. He pointed at his eyes with an exaggerated expression.

"THEN WHY THE FK DO I HAVE EYES?!**"

The puppet maid, completely unfazed, remained silent.

Toneri stared.

The maid stared back.

Toneri's eye twitched again.

"WHY AREN'T YOU SAYING ANYTHING?!"

The maid finally spoke.

"…There is no answer in my database."

Toneri's jaw dropped. A long, painful silence followed.

Then, he faceplanted into his bed.

Still face down, he weakly raised one arm.

"Is this… an alternate reality?"

Silence.

Toneri slowly turned his head back toward the mirror, eyes hollow, mind fried.

His reflection stared back, still adorned with the Tenseigan.

He let out a deep, defeated sigh.

"I hope....."

----------------------------------------------------

A week had passed.

Toneri floated in the air, surrounded by fragments of floating debris. His black attire clung to his almost thin frame, a bit tighter than expected.

The outfit was a long, sleek coat, designed to flow behind him like a cape, fluttering in the windless void of the moon. The design allowed maximum mobility, avoiding the stiffness of Ōtsutsuki robes. His loose sleeves were shortened just enough to keep them from getting in the way, while the fitted trousers ensured he could move without resistance.

His hair had changed. Gone was the old, straight, shoulder-length cut. Now, his hair was shorter, choppier, styled in a way that almost looked like it belonged to some rebel punk. It barely reached his eyes, giving him a sharper, more modern vibe.

He had been floating aimlessly, using just enough power to maintain control. Even though he had inherited the memories of the past Toneri, there was no actual memory of using the Tenseigan—only the memory of being blind.

That meant no cheat sheet for handling his new super powers.

"…So basically, I'm a baby bird getting thrown off a cliff, hoping I don't splatter."

He flexed his fingers, letting light cyan chakra pulse around them, manipulating the floating debris as if testing the limits of his control.

His goal was simple: train his subconscious mind so that chakra control became second nature. The last thing he needed was to accidentally vaporize his own house.

As much as the moon was vast and mostly empty, it was still his only shelter.

Toneri clicked his tongue.

"Tch. So I can't play as I please. Fantastic."

Still, he was making progress.

And then—

A strange sensation in his eyes.

His Tenseigan pulsed.

He could perceive everything happening on Earth.

With a thought, he shifted his gaze downward, looking straight through the layers of rock beneath him. His eyes pierced from the moon's inner surface to the outer, and beyond—

Straight toward Earth.

His glowing blue pupils narrowed as his gaze focused on one direction.

Konoha.
