Chapter 127: Chapter 127: Warm Parting
"Well, that's all for today."
After finishing their training session, Kiyoshi treated Hinata's injuries. Checking the time, he realized he was close to his meetup with Tenten and Ino.
With a gentle goodbye, he turned to leave.
"Are you going already, Kiyoshi-nii?"
Seeing Kiyoshi about to go, Hinata looked a little disappointed. But she quickly recovered and bowed deeply, her voice full of gratitude.
"Thank you so much for your help. I really can't thank you enough."
Hinata still felt like she was dreaming.
In just under two hours, she'd made as much progress as she usually did in months, or even more than she'd ever achieved with endless hard work.
Right before Kiyoshi ended their training, she'd managed to perform the Eight Trigrams Thirty-Two Palms. Previously, she could barely reach the Eight Palms stage.
"No need to thank me," Kiyoshi said with a smile. "Remember, no matter what, always be strong and confident."
"I… I will, Kiyoshi-nii." Hinata's cheeks turned pink, her fingers touching each other shyly as she gazed at him with her pure white eyes.
She hesitated, then asked softly, "Kiyoshi-nii…. Will I be able to see you again?"
She genuinely hoped to see him again. She had heard he was training under Lady Tsunade outside the village and wondered if he was only back for a few days.
"I should be around the village for the next week or two, with plenty of free time," Kiyoshi replied, extending his right hand.
To Hinata's amazement, a large green leaf appeared in his palm, which quickly folded itself into an origami crane.
The green leaf crane seemed alive, flapping its wings as it flew to Hinata, gently landing in her hand.
"If you ever want to find me, just channel a bit of chakra into it, and I'll sense it as long as I'm in the village," he said with a warm smile. "Remember, it's our little secret."
He leaned forward, gently touching his forehead to hers, looking straight into her beautiful white eyes. "Don't tell anyone, okay?"
"Th-thump, th-thump."
The closeness and warmth of the gesture left Hinata frozen, her large, watery eyes wide as she stared at his face just inches away.
Her heart was racing, her cheeks flushing so red it was as if steam were rising from her head.
"Mhm…." She mumbled, her head practically buried in her chest, her voice soft as a whisper.
Seeing this shy reaction, Kiyoshi chuckled and decided not to tease her any further. "Alright then, I'll be off."
"Goodbye, Kiyoshi-nii." Hinata called out, waving as he walked away, a hint of sadness in her eyes.
"Oh, one more thing." Kiyoshi turned back with a playful smile. "Girls look prettier with long hair."
Hinata froze in surprise, watching Kiyoshi disappear into the distance.
She looked at the delicate green leaf crane in her hand, then touched her short hair, determination shining in her eyes.

"Kiyoshi!"
"Kiyoshi-nii, you're late again!"
At a training ground near the Hokage Rock, Kiyoshi finally arrived, spotting Tenten and Ino waiting for him and waving excitedly. Ino ran up to him, pouting in mild annoyance.
"Alright, alright, I got held up a bit." Kiyoshi chuckled, pleading for mercy.
The three of them bantered playfully before Kiyoshi got down to business, checking their progress from the past two years of training.
A humanoid puppet, barely visible chakra strings attached, whirred into motion under Tenten's control.
Its arms transformed into sharp blades, spinning rapidly as it chased Kiyoshi's wood clone in a relentless assault.
"Whoosh... Whoosh..."
The wood clone only displayed the level of a mid-level Chunin, dodging and occasionally retaliating by throwing shuriken in Tenten's direction.
Calm and composed, she either dodged skillfully or used her puppet as a shield.
At one point, the puppet opened its mouth, launching a barrage of Senbon needles—hundreds of them, flashing in the light and densely packed, a sight enough to make anyone's scalp tingle.
"Bang! Bang!"
After testing her skills, Kiyoshi assessed her current level, then signaled her to stop, knowing how much she disliked retrieving all her lost weapons.
The progress Tenten and Ino had made was impressive.
Tenten's combat level with her puppet was easily on par with an elite Genin. And if she loaded it with explosive tags or other deadly tools, she could even take down an unwary Chunin.
Ino wasn't far behind either. She'd mastered the Yamanaka clan's secret techniques well.
Kiyoshi even experienced her Mind Transfer Jutsu firsthand, noting that while it didn't affect him, it would be a formidable technique against opponents of similar or slightly higher strength.
With proper teamwork, even experienced ninjas might fall victim to it. No wonder the Ino-Shika-Cho formation was renowned in the shinobi world.
Moreover, Ino had also become proficient in basic medical ninjutsu, which Kiyoshi had previously taught her.
Kiyoshi then began to offer targeted guidance to both of them, and time flew by quickly.
Before they knew it, evening had arrived, and he said his goodbyes to the two reluctant girls, escorting them back home.
