Chapter 145: Omniscience in Marvel 141: Ego Final

Title - Ego Final.

"You fucking bastard! Do you intend to destroy the planet by doing that!?" Leucadius bellowed in rage as he tore his sight away from the massive planet and back to Ego.

Ego cackled maniacally as he wore a victorious grin while matching Leucadius' gaze. "You left me no choice. Regretfully, the seed of expansion hasn't had the time to grow and engulf the planet yet."

"And that is something to be regretful about!?"

"Of course." Ego said and spread his hands. "Eons of solitude has taught me that all life should be beneath me. What is a sole planet in comparison to the Universe I envision?"

"You... are a madman," Leucadius spat, his voice laced with disbelief and anger. "You speak of universes and power, yet you destroy everything in your path. Your vision is nothing but a delusion, Ego. You have no regard for life, no understanding of what it means to truly create."

Ego's grin only widened, his eyes gleaming with a twisted sense of purpose. "Madness? No, Leucadius, this is clarity. This is Purpose. The weak fall so that the strong may rise. My creation, my legacy, will be one of infinite expanse. I am not just a planet—I am a God in the making."

Leucadius's fury simmered, nearly materializing as his aura poured out of him uncontrollably, his fists clenched tightly.

"You've gone too far. Your lust for power blinds you to the truth. True Strength doesn't come from destruction; it comes from protecting and nurturing life. Your so-called vision is a sickness, Ego—a sickness that needs to be purged."

Disappointment.

That was the cause of Leucadius' current anger.

Leucadius could imagine how many times he had wished he had certain Innate abilities linked to his Creation of Life.

Even till this point, the only Sentient life he had created was ASPECT.

And the only biological ones he had created were the Homunculus the Holy Ones use in Heaven.

There was a clear demarcation between Biological Creations and Sentient ones.

One was a mass of Flesh while the other was a Consciousness.

You could give the flesh a consciousness to inhabit and vice versa, you could give a consciousness any physical form to reside in. .

Yet, this ability was given freely to a being that had the ability to create a biological body and inhabit it, and by extension, create a habitable Planet body to support the formation of life.

He could've been a Gaea level of being if he was wise enough, yet…

….

Ego's face darkened, his expression shifting from arrogance to cold disdain. "You speak like a mortal, Leucadius, and you are no different from them. Power is the only truth in this universe. You either wield it, or you are crushed by it. And now... you will be crushed."

Without warning, Ego launched another [Solar Flare], the intense light and heat tore through the space between them with lethal intentions.

The very air seemed to scream as the flare blasted forward, distorting the Space in the dimension with its sheer intensity.

Leucadius felt the power behind that flare to be a threat if it tore through this dimension. Yet, he didn't have the energy levels to restore it.

At the same time, he also needed to block this attack so it doesn't affect the world outside this dimension through the tears that'll be formed from the clash..

Leucadius's eyes narrowed as he assessed the situation. The magnitude of Ego's attack was more than a mere threat, it was a cataclysm waiting to happen.

The [Solar Flare] burnt at over 5000 degrees Celsius. That was the surface temperature of the Sun and it was tearing through space, its intensity warping the dimension, and if it broke through, the resulting damage would ripple into the real world.

His mind raced, weighing his options. The energy required to maintain this pocket dimension and fight Ego was already pushing him to his limits. He needed to make a decision—one that would protect not just himself, but the timeline and those who existed within it.

He wasn't obligated to do this, but he felt it was a necessity. He couldn't have a dead Meredith, Nicholas Fury and an unborn Peter Quill erased from the world without it literally going to shit.

One was a Star Lord and the other was a necessity to open up the Planet to extraterrestrial Life.

"No other choice," Leucadius muttered under his breath. He deactivated every temporal and spatial defense he had in place, drawing that energy back into himself.

The space around him flickered momentarily as the protective barriers collapsed. With a loud clap, he brought his hands together in concentration as he funneled all of that power into reinforcing the reality magic holding the dimension together.

'This is the only way to ensure the timeline proceeds as it should,' Leucadius thought, his resolve hardening. 'I can't let this guy's madness affect Meredith and Nicholas…especially not Nicholas."

"The future depends on him becoming The Nick Fury,"

With the reality magic fortified, the dimension stabilized, but the incoming [Solar Flare] was still a looming threat. Leucadius steeled himself, preparing to face the full brunt of the attack head-on with his body.

He could only hope his body was durable enough to withstand heat capable of melting even Tungsten.

The flare collided with him in a blinding explosion of light and heat causing the dimension around them shaking violently from the impact.

Leucadius clenched his teeth, enduring the onslaught as the energy surged against him. His entire body felt like it was being torn apart, every nerve screaming in agony as the Solar Flare seared through his bodily defenses.

The pain was unlike anything he had ever experienced in his long existence, his flesh charring under the merciless heat, yet he endured.

The concept of time blurred to Leucadius , but when flare finally subsided, je fell to his knees, his body smoking and battered. His breath came in ragged gasps, and his vision blurred.

Above him, Ego floated down with a smug expression, looking down on him like a predator eyeing its prey.

"So, this is how the mighty have fallen?" Ego sneered, his voice dripping with contempt. "You speak of strength, of creation and protection, yet here you are, broken and powerless. Not even your strange magic can save you now."

Leucadius ignored the taunt, focusing on the faint spark of energy he had left within him.

His regeneration was slow, painfully so, but it was enough to keep him conscious. He began to murmur to himself.

"In the endless void where stars tremble," he whispered, barely audible, "I wield the force of creation itself... Light bends to my will, and the pure shall rise... while the unworthy fall into darkness... The skies crack open, and the divine answers my call... By my command, judgment reigns... and the cosmos obeys..."

Ego's laughter rang out, harsh and dismissive. "Is that all you have left? Pathetic. Your words mean nothing, Leucadius. You are finished!" He had initially thought that Leucadius still had some fight in him, but even after he finished with his chant, nothing happened, unlike the first time,

However, as Ego continued his derision, something began to change. The walls of the dimension around them trembled as though responding to Leucadius's chant.

Ego's smile faltered for a moment as a piercing beam of light suddenly broke through the void, descending from above.

In the void close to where Ego was about to appear outside Earth, a beam of light struck Ego's main planetary Body suspending it in place and causing Ego who was before Leucadius to wince and recoil due to the connection between them being severed.

Then, to his horror, the light spread to encompass Leucadius as well.

The damage to Leucadius's body began to reverse, the burns healing rapidly under the radiance.

His strength returned, the pain disappearing as the light filled him with renewed energy.

Ego's eyes widened as he squinted against the brightness, struggling to comprehend what was happening. He turned his gaze upward, following the source of the light, and froze.

High above, In what looked to be from the depths of the Void, a massive pearly silver gate swung open, its glow exceedingly blinding.

From the gate, four majestic six-winged angelic beings descended, their forms radiating power and authority. They carried a throne bathed in light between them as they made their descent.

Behind them was an entire host of similar beings following, their ranks filling the void with an overwhelming presence. Their wings spread wide, their eyes locked on Ego, and for the first time in eons, the living planet felt a flicker of fear.

"No…"

"It's another Illusion."

"It's an Illusion right?"

Ego asked as he looked on in disbelief. Quantity aside, the energy these beings radiated as they descended was downright frightening. And then there was that light.

As he was mumbling to himself, Leucadius rose to his feet, his body now fully healed. "You spoke of power, Ego," he said, his voice steady. "But true power lies not in destruction, but in the ability to create, to protect, to bring judgment upon those who threaten the balance of the universe."

Ego, now truly terrified, found himself backing away, his once unshakable confidence crumbling in the face of the celestial force arrayed against him.

As Leucadius spoke, the Seraphs accompanying the Throne descended and prostrated behind Leucadius as his Throne floated over.

Looking tiredly at ASPECT'S original body, he sighed and sat down on hit, causing a ripple of power to pass through him, connecting him to Heaven and everything Within. 'Now this…'

"That is true power." Looking at the hosts of angels all ready to pounce, "Behold the will of the Cosmos," Leucadius intoned, as the angels moved to encircle Ego. "This is the end of your madness."

"Or so, I'd like to say." Leucadius said. "I've lived for so long on earth and their ways are getting to me, so as someone who's also lived there for a while, I'll ask you this - Do you Surrender?"

"...Are you…" Ego began but paused and took a gulp. "... fucking with me right now?"

"Is that long for yes or no?"

"For fucks sakes man." Ego immediately put his two hands up in surrender. "I surrender man. If you had shown this array earlier, we wouldn't have had to even so much as exchange any bad words."

"What can I say? Who asked you to be too strong to handle?" Leucadius shrugged as he rested his jaw on his enclosed left hand. "Now that you've surrendered, how about we have that conversation I've been asking for."

"Hahahaha, that is a matter of course." Ego laughed nervously, his hands still hung up as to show his utmost surrender. At this point in time, he wasn't keen on trying to see if he could die under the barrage of these weird human-bird people, not to mention that White Light.
