One Piece : Captain, We’ve Arrived at Laugh Tale

Chapter 6: Chapter 6 : Luffy, You Two Fight

Wang's momentum? Conqueror's Haki?

Zoro didn't know what it was, but he could tell it was powerful. Just now, he even felt his heart skip a beat.

This was because Luffy was controlling it on purpose. Otherwise, Nami, Koby, and Luffy would have passed out. As Marco once said about Shanks, "Anyone without strong willpower can't stay conscious in front of him."

Only Carl truly knew how powerful Luffy's Conqueror's Haki was.

At that moment, Luffy stepped toward Morgan, his voice filled with anger. "What kind of Marine are you?! You crushed Koby's dream! I'm going to take you down right here!"

Koby also shouted excitedly, "Luffy-san! Take down a Marine like him!"

Morgan struggled to stand, his body trembling. Seeing Luffy approach, he roared viciously, "Defeat me? I am Marine Captain 'Axe-Hand' Morgan! You think you can take me down?!"

He raised his massive axe high and swung it down toward Luffy's head.

But Luffy simply tilted his body slightly and sent Morgan flying with a Gomu Gomu no Pistol, knocking him out cold.

Such an opponent wasn't even a warm-up.

"An arm... his arm stretched?! Who the hell are you, Captain?!" Zoro was shocked again.

"It's just a Devil Fruit. Why are you so surprised?" Carl said casually. "Luffy ate the Gum-Gum Fruit, so his body stretches like rubber. As for me, I also have a Devil Fruit power."

Carl waved his hand toward the unconscious Marines.

Suddenly, flashes of lightning appeared, creating a magnetic force that pulled in all the swords and guns.

"I ate the Paramecia-type Electromagnetic Fruit. I can generate electricity and control magnetism. Of course, I have other abilities too, but you'll find out later. Oh, and I'm Luffy's teacher—the one who trained him."

The flood of information left Zoro completely overwhelmed.

Nami and Koby were equally confused. They only knew Carl was a Devil Fruit user, but now they realized he was really Luffy's teacher. At first, they thought Carl was about the same age as Luffy and that Luffy was joking. But now, it turned out to be true.

"Luffy, I heard this base has a map of the Grand Line. Let's search for it." Carl suggested.

Out on the vast sea, a pirate ship drifted.

Luffy's "artistic" drawing on the sail was so ridiculous that no matter how many times they looked at it, it was still hilarious.

The four of them searched the Marine base, finding Zoro's three swords along with Morgan's small stash of treasure. However, the Grand Line map was missing—it had already been stolen by Buggy the Clown, who left behind a signal.

There was no choice but to go after Buggy.

Before leaving, Carl used his ability to sweep up all the swords and guns from the base. These weapons could still be useful, but they needed to be stored on the ship.

After having a big meal, they bid farewell to Luffy and Koby, then set sail once again.

Whether Koby could become a Marine in the end depended entirely on his own efforts.

This time, Luffy didn't help him. Since all the Marines were knocked unconscious by Luffy's Haki, they didn't wake up before he left—so even if he wanted to, there was nothing he could do.

Carl didn't care much about it. If fate was on Koby's side, then he would definitely become a Marine.

Nami, on the other hand, was thrilled.

Since Luffy and Zoro didn't care about money, Carl casually declared that all of Morgan's treasure belonged to her. That meant she had taken everything in his stash, making a hefty profit.

Carl wasn't concerned about it—after all, Nami was already on the ship. Even if she wanted to escape, she couldn't. In the end, that money would eventually go toward the ship's expenses anyway.

"Hey, Luffy… just how strong are you? Why do I feel like you're on a whole different level?" Zoro leaned against the side of the cabin and asked.

The ship was fairly big, though a little worn down. At first, Zoro wasn't too happy about it, but it was still better than having no ship at all. When he realized there were only four crew members, he felt completely hopeless.

It was too late to regret now.

But it wasn't entirely without hope—if the captain was strong enough, everything else would fall into place.

That's why he wanted to gauge Luffy's strength first.

Luffy scratched his head. "Ah, I'm not really sure, but I know I'm super strong!"

Zoro sighed and turned to Carl instead.

Carl simply shrugged. "Luffy, you two should fight."

Rather than talking about it, a real battle would give a clear answer.

Luffy and Zoro were both eager to test each other. Without any more words from Carl, one of them was cracking his knuckles while the other drew his three swords.

Then, in less than three seconds, Zoro was sprawled out on the deck.

"H-How… how is there such a huge gap?!" Zoro was in complete shock.

He had been a pirate hunter for years and had never met a true challenge in the East Blue. But just now, when fighting Luffy, it felt like an ant trying to take on an elephant.

Luffy pouted. "Zoro, you're so weak!"

Zoro: "…"

Fortunately, Carl spoke up. "Luffy, Zoro's strength is enough to dominate the East Blue. Don't underestimate him. The only reason he seems weak is because you're just too strong."

Luffy suddenly realized. "Oh! That's right! I was trained by Teacher Carl!"

Carl shrugged, though there was a hint of pride on his face.

It's often said that a good teacher feels proud when they meet a talented student, and that was definitely true.

Luffy had incredible potential, and training him was surprisingly easy—just beat him up repeatedly without worrying about killing him.

Three years of brutal training had shaped him into the Luffy of today.

Zoro immediately looked at Carl with respect. "Carl… Teacher? Then, can you tell me how strong I am right now?"

Carl thought about it for a moment before answering.

"Alright, I'll compare your strength using Marine ranks. In the Marines, rank usually reflects strength."

"Let's skip the low ranks and start from Captain—the level of Morgan. The rankings go: Captain, Commodore, Rear Admiral, Vice Admiral, Quasi-Admiral, Admiral, and Fleet Admiral."

"Zoro, your current strength is about the level of a Rear Admiral… Of course, I'm talking about Marine Headquarters standards."

Rear Admiral?

That low?!

Zoro was clearly dissatisfied. "Then what about Luffy?"

Carl smirked mysteriously. "Heh… Luffy isn't normal. His strength is special—his emotions can greatly affect his power. But under normal conditions, he's around Quasi-Admiral level. In critical moments, he might even defeat an Admiral."

"Quasi-Admiral?!"

Zoro and Nami were both shocked. It was hard to believe Luffy was that strong.

Even Luffy was surprised. "Mr. Carl, I can already fight an Admiral? But didn't you say I was still far behind?"

Carl spread his hands. "That's because I didn't fully understand the strength of an Admiral before. But then you fought your grandfather Garp, remember? Even though he still beat you down, you've grown a lot stronger."

"You do realize your grandfather is a Marine hero, right? He's the one who captured the Pirate King, Roger. Do you have any idea how strong that makes him?"

"Huh?! Luffy's grandpa is a Marine hero?!" Zoro and Nami were completely stunned.

"Eh?! Grandpa caught the Pirate King?!" Even Luffy was shocked.
