ONE PIECE : GOLDEN STAR PIRATES

Chapter 7: Journey in the sea to the next goal .

After transferring all the food supplies, ammunition and artillery from Don Krieg's main ship to the other ship, it was already night.

Luff and Gin lay on the floor tired from the intense work, although it was Luff who did most of the work, carrying things and jumping from ship to ship, it was Gin who took care of organizing and storing the supplies and ammunition.

After that, they cleaned the ship and threw the bodies and unconscious people overboard.

It was unfortunate that the other ship had long since fled after Luff shot down Don Krieg, Gin was probably the only person who had unwavering loyalty to Don Krieg.

Luff lay there thinking about where Don Krieg was at the moment.

"What do we do now, Captain?" Gin asked Luff who was lying next to him, he had accepted the fact that he had separated from the Don Krieg pirates and joined Luff's group.

"There's no time to rest, the Navy could come here at any time, Don Krieg was about to leave earlier so we better leave too" Luff said as he got up from the ground and moved to the anchor.

"Lower the sails, we'll set off right away" Luff grabbed the iron chain and slowly started pulling it.

Gin moved quickly to carry out the orders despite being tired, after the previous battle and moving the supplies he had no energy left in his body yet he immediately stood up to carry out his captain's orders.

Luff smiled knowingly.

"Gin is a good subordinate who can tell the difference between good and evil and would never betray me. His loyalty is unquestionable."

"In the original story, he was fiercely loyal to Don Krieg, carrying out any orders he was given, no matter how brutal, inhumane or cruel, without protest or hesitation, thus earning the nickname Gin the "Man-Demon" His respect for Krieg is so great that he obeys Krieg's orders to throw off his gas mask and inhale the deadly poisonous gas because he is ashamed to have let him down."

"His loyalty and willingness to sacrifice his life for his captain can be compared to Zoro, so naturally I wanted to recruit him as soon as I saw Don Krieg in Log Town."

"Fortunately, it hadn't been long since Gin joined Don Krieg's crew, so it was an easy transition for him. With the right training and experience, he will grow into a strong man in the future."

The anchor was raised and locked tightly and the sails were lowered, Luff stood at the helm and steered the ship forward, there was no navigator on the ship so Luff took on the role himself for the time being.

The East blue wasn't as dangerous as the Grand Line so using the map and compass Luff was able to find his way.

"Although I don't have any special skills in predicting the weather, steering the ship is still an easy task," Luff muttered.

Gin sat behind Luff and leaned against the wall in silence.

"You can go inside if you want, it's night now and the temperature will drop quickly and you're injured and tired so you'd better get some rest," Luff said as he looked at Gin.

"It's okay, captain, it's also nice here," Gin said.

"As you wish," Luff shrugged and didn't insist.

Some time passed in silence before Gin said, "Why did you remove the pirate flag earlier?"

"This is the Don Krieg Pirates flag so it's inappropriate to use it, and we'll have to strip the paint off the main sail later."

"Our pirate group hasn't even been established yet, there should be at least five members before that," Luff said to Gin with a laugh.

Gin was surprised and didn't expect that, however, he soon understood that the Luff in front of him didn't want to gather so many subordinates to form his pirate group, which was different from the previous Don Krieg.

Although he had only been on Don Krieg's ship for three months, he had heard Don Krieg talking about the pirate fleet he would form consisting of 100 ships and 10,000 men.

However, Luff didn't seem like that type, at this moment Gin was wondering what kind of man his captain was.

Silence fell again and after a while, snoring was heard on the deck, Luff turned and looked at the sleeping Gin.

"Hey, if you want to sleep, go inside, I don't want you to catch a cold and become useless."

Despite Luff's shouting, Gin showed no sign of hearing him, Gin sighed and fixed the rudder before carrying Gin on his shoulder and carrying him to the cabin.

After throwing him on a mesh bed and throwing a blanket over him, Luff returned to the deck and made sure that the ship was on course.

A cool sea breeze blew, carrying the scent of salt, Luff felt it in his ruffled hair and couldn't help but laugh out loud.

"Hahahahaha, I got a ship and recruited my first mate, world beware I'm coming" Luff's laughter echoed in the cold night sky.

The night passed quickly and day came in the blink of an eye, Gin got up from his sleep and found himself sleeping inside the cabin and immediately understood that Luff was the one who brought him inside.

Gin walked out of the cabin and headed to the deck, there he found Luff doing push-ups with one arm upside down.

"Two thousand four hundred and ninety-eight, two thousand four hundred and ninety-nine, two thousand five hundred"

Luff jumped up and landed on his feet and grabbed the towel and wiped the sweat off his body.

"Oh, you're already awake, I was coming to wake you up already, eat there quickly and join me"

"From today onwards we will spend all our free time training, you are very weak so we will train until you feel your body burning" Luff said to Gin standing in front of the cabin door in a serious voice.

Gin wasn't afraid but felt admiration and warmth and quickly moved to carry out the order.

"Yes, captain"

While Gin was eating breakfast, Luff moved behind the helm and looked at the compass and map in front of him.

"If the winds continue at the same pace we will reach our destination in at least four days, there is another member I want to recruit into my crew so be prepared"

Luff said loudly to make sure Gin could hear him.

After making sure that everything was okay and the ship was on track, Luff returned to the bottom where he found that Gin had quickly finished his breakfast and was ready to train.

"Before we start training, you should know a few things. My name is Luff D Prado and I have eaten the Bara Bara no Mi Devil Fruit, which makes me a Splitting Human."

With that, several parts of Luff's body were cut off and floated in the air.

"I can divide my body into parts as you can see in front of you now and control them freely. I can also re-attach myself again." As Luff's head floated in the air, his splitted body parts were reattached together.

"This makes me immune to cutting attacks, which means that swords and spears have no effect on me at all."

Luff took out a knife from his pocket and cut his neck from ear to ear so that the severed part could be reattached again.

Luff put the knife back in his pocket and said "But since I ate a Devil Fruit, that means I can't swim at all, so in the future I will depend on you to save me if I fall into the sea"

As he said, Luff patted Gin's shoulder lightly with a smile on his face.

Gin was still in amazement at his Devil Fruit abilities, when he heard Luff's words that he was depending on him to save his life, he was greatly affected and his respect for Luff increased several folds.

His captain trusted him to save his life.

Luff continued his words "I fight mainly using my fist and my fruit so I have trained my body well until today, from today onwards we will train together"

"Yes, Captain" Gin nodded

"Let's get started"
