Chapter 12: Chapter 12:Time to Set Sail!
Yami stood proudly before the massive ship he had created using his Minecraft powers. The sheer size of it was enough to make anyone gape in awe. It was so large that even a giant could board it without issue, yet its design ensured it could sail swiftly across the seas.
The ship's outer layer was constructed from Nether wood, giving it a reddish-brown hue that made it stand out. The middle layer was reinforced with bedrock, ensuring near-indestructibility, while the inner layer, which made up the ship's interior, was composed of regular wood to maintain a comfortable living space.
Three enormous sails loomed above, each one adorned with the crew's symbol—a skull with flames burning behind it, crossed by two netherite swords. Redstone machines and motors were attached beneath the ship, concealed and protected by layers of obsidian and Adam's wood. The latter had been acquired from the World Government's treasury after Yami had dealt with that pathetic excuse of a Celestial Dragon.
Nami, Nojiko, Makino, and Tashigi stood in stunned silence, their eyes wide with amazement as they took in the sight of the vessel. It was unlike anything they had ever seen before, a ship that defied the conventions of the world they lived in.
"This... this is insane!" Nami finally managed to say, her voice filled with disbelief. "Yami, what the hell did you even build?!"
"This is our ship," Yami grinned, his arms crossed as he admired his handiwork. "Its name is Kraken."
"Kraken?" Nojiko repeated, tilting her head.
"Yeah," Yami smirked. "Because it'll be the monster ruling the seas."
Makino blinked a few times, still struggling to process it all. "Yami... this ship... this is beyond anything I've ever seen."
Tashigi adjusted her glasses, her mouth slightly agape. "To think such a thing could be built... even the Marines don't have a ship this advanced."
Yami chuckled, feeling a surge of excitement as he thought about their first destination. 'Sky Island… that's where we'll go first. If I can get the Lightning Logia for Nami, she'll become so much stronger.'
The past week had been quite eventful for Cocoyasi Village. With Arlong and his gang gone, the people had been adjusting to their new lives—free from tyranny. But what truly made the week remarkable were the events that had taken place in secret.
One such event was when Yami had summoned an actual mountain of gold ingots, causing Nami to faint on the spot. When she had woken up and saw that it was real, she had almost kissed Yami on the spot, declaring dramatically, "I won't ever leave your side even if you force me to!"
Yami had, of course, enjoyed the feeling of her soft chest pressing against his back as she clung to him in excitement. 'That was definitely worth it,' he had thought at the time. Feeling generous, he had given a quarter of the gold to Genzo, ensuring the village would have enough funds for the foreseeable future. Another quarter would be used once Yami gained some underworld connections—he had plans to start a food supply business in exchange for information.
As for the rest of the gold… well, he had given it all to Nami. Watching her eyes light up and her body tremble in joy had been absolutely priceless.
But that wasn't the only shocking discovery Yami had made during the week.
Enchantment bottles.
Originally, in the game, they were simply used to gain experience points, which would then be spent enchanting weapons and armor. However, in this world, their effect was far more profound.
They enhanced the user's abilities.
For example, before using them, Nami could barely hold a 20 kg rock for two seconds. But after drinking ten enchantment bottles, she was able to lift the same rock for two hours straight without breaking a sweat.
And it wasn't just strength—it could enhance anything the user focused on. Makino, who originally struggled to run a single lap around the island in three hours, had her speed and stamina boosted so much that she was able to run five laps in just ten minutes, all without even panting.
'It's completely broken,' Yami had realized. 'And it even works on Haki.'
Tashigi was the perfect test subject for this. She had been training with Yami for seven months, struggling to awaken her Armament Haki. While she had gained an understanding of it, she still couldn't manifest colorless Armament Haki. However, after consuming the enchantment bottles, she had not only awakened it but could maintain it for a full hour.
"This is unbelievable," Tashigi had murmured, staring at her hands, which were coated in invisible Haki. "To think I struggled so much… and now…"
"The power of my abilities," Yami had said smugly. "And this is just the beginning."
The only thing left to test was its effect on Devil Fruits. Yami had tried using enchantment bottles on himself but found that they did not enhance his Minecraft Devil Fruit abilities. That left him with one possibility—was it just his fruit that was unaffected, or did it apply to all Devil Fruits?
To test this, he had decided on their first stop—Sky Island. If he could retrieve the Goro Goro no Mi, the Lightning Logia, and give it to Nami, they could confirm whether the enchantments worked on Devil Fruit powers. Plus, the sheer amount of gold in Skypiea was something he wouldn't ignore.
Not to mention, he was already thinking about establishing a second base there.
With that in mind, Yami smirked as he turned to face his crew. "Alright, pack up. We set sail soon. Our next stop is the sky."
Yami leaned against the railing of the massive ship he had built, watching as the girls packed their belongings. His eyes gleamed with anticipation as he unfolded the newspaper cutouts he had retrieved from his inventory. A single sheet lay in the center, scribbled with a list—his targets for the month. Before setting out to conquer the Grand Line, the Calm Belt, and all four Blues, he would first claim the devil fruits and individuals he had marked.
'First, the logia fruits,' he mused, scanning the names.
Lightning (Enel - Sky Island)
Paper (Simon - Nanatsu Island)
Flame (Ace - Soon to arrive in Paradise)
Liquid (Honey Queen - Clockwork Island)
Swamp (Somewhere in North Blue)
Candy Syrup (A former Marine near the Dead End Race island... what was his name again?)
'Enel's fruit is a must for Nami. Her control over lightning would be devastating. Ace's fruit… that one might be tricky, but it's too good to pass up. Plus I can just hand ace over to blackbeard secretly for the summit war to happen.'
He moved on to the paramecia fruits.
Slip Slip Fruit (Alvida - East Blue)
Bomb Bomb Fruit (The first island in the Grand Line where Luffy fought Baroque Works agents)
Wax Wax Fruit (Mr. 3 - Baroque Works)
Bind Bind Fruit (Captain Hina - Got to take the fruit; gender equality and all that.)
Spring Spring Fruit (Bellamy)
Slow Slow Fruit (Foxy)
Door Door Fruit (Blueno - If awakened, this fruit would be busted for support.)
Bubble Fruit (Kalifa - wonder if I will get it before she eats it.)
Hard Hard Fruit (Bear King - Honey Queen's captain)
'Blueno's fruit will be an awesome support when awakened. That one's a necessity.'
Finally, the zoan list.
Human Human Fruit (Already have a doctor in mind. Sorry, Chopper.)
Ox Ox Fruit (Drum Island - Some random guy has it.)
Munch Munch Fruit (Wapol)
Horse Fruit (That strange bird on Sky Island)
Leopard Fruit (Rob Lucci)
Elephant Fruit (Spandam's sword)
Wolf Fruit (Jabra)
Giraffe Fruit (Kaku)
X Drake (North Blue - Future dinosaur fruit user is a must for my crew)
Pegasus Fruit (From Blackbeard's crew's weird horse… gotta take it without fighting Teach. Teach has to stay alive and initiate the war, after that, he can die happily while giving up his dark fruit.)
Dragon Fruit (Punk Hazard - Vegapunk left it behind.)
'I have a perfect candidate for the human human fruit.' He smirked, his mind already devising plans for his crew's development. All these fruits will be for the outer and core members of his crew.
Next, his kill list. Simple and straightforward.
Everyone whose fruit was mentioned, except a select few like Chopper. And some more people whose names will be mentioned later.
'No hard feelings, but my crew need these powers more than you do.'
Then, the recruitment list.
Mr. 2 (Bentham)
Trafalgar Law
Bartolomeo
Yamato
Baccarat
Perona
Lily (The giantess from the movie)
Nico Robin
Mansherry
Baby 5
Eustass Kid (Kill him if he refuses.)
Shirahoshi(The human fruit candidate)
Vivi(Must get her under my wing, if even Imu wants her.)
Kaya(Just to spite on Ussop)
Mikita(will love to see her show her panties against me while training.)
Uta(Shanks brother, pls help me in the future.)
Carrot
And the most important wildcard—Buggy.
'Buggy… that man is an enigma. He's a walking luck charm. If I can manipulate that with the help of Baccarat, the two of them might be one of the most useful duo of my crew.'
Yami folded the paper and placed it back into his inventory.
"Alright," he muttered, glancing at the ship. "It's time to set sail and turn this world upside down."
