Chapter 13: Chapter 13:The Sky Island!
A massive ship made entirely out of square blocks sailed through the sky, defying all logic. The ship bore the symbol of a skull engulfed in flames, with two blocky netherite swords crossed behind it—a terrifying insignia that struck fear into anyone who laid eyes upon it. This was the Kraken, the flagship of the Angel Pirates, led by none other than Yami Fujiwara.
What made the sight even more shocking was that the Kraken was soaring through the air, floating above the clouds as if it belonged there. Two massive balloons were affixed to the top of the ship, and airplane-like wings extended from its sides, keeping it aloft. Yami had designed a mechanical flight mode, activated by a single button. The ship was a marvel, something the world had never seen before.
Standing at the helm, Yami gazed into the distance. A massive golden gate loomed ahead, standing tall above the clouds. The words "Sky Island" were boldly inscribed across it. A smirk crept across his lips.
'We've finally arrived.'
Yami turned to his crew and called out, "Oi, everyone! Get up here! We're entering Sky Island."
Moments later, Nami, Nojiko, Makino, and Tashigi stepped onto the deck, their eyes widening in awe as they took in the golden gate before them.
"This… this is insane," Nami whispered, gripping the railing tightly.
"We're actually standing above the clouds," Nojiko murmured, her voice filled with disbelief as she watched the cloudy white sea Benith the ship.
Makino smiled. "The world really is full of wonders."
Tashigi, on the other hand, was still hesitant about joining Yami's crew. Even so, she couldn't deny that what she was witnessing was beyond anything she had ever imagined.
As the ship drew closer to the gate, an old woman with small, white wings perched on a tower near the entrance. Her expression was neutral, but her presence was unmistakable.
"A sky person…" Makino whispered, eyes sparkling with curiosity.
Even though their captain was a 17-foot-tall lunarian with giant black wings and fire behind his back, seeing someone with cute little white wings was still fascinating.
The old woman remained unfazed by their reactions and spoke in a raspy voice, "To pass through this gate, you must pay a toll-"
But before she could even finish her sentence, a pulse of overwhelming pressure filled the air.
BOOM!
The woman collapsed instantly, unconscious before she even realized what had happened.
Tashigi's eyes widened in horror. "Y-Yami! Why did you do that?!"
Yami shot her a deadpan look. "I'm a pirate. Why the hell would I pay someone just to visit a place?"
Makino, Nojiko, and Nami, who had also been about to ask the same question, immediately shut their mouths. They had almost embarrassed themselves.
Tashigi pouted, realizing how dumb her question sounded. 'I really need to stop thinking like a Marine...IF, and only, IF, I am going to join him that is.'
With the gate out of the way, the Kraken flew past the waterfall and officially entered Sky Island.
The moment they landed on a floating island made of clouds, the girls jumped off the ship, eager to explore. Yami, meanwhile, calmly stored the Kraken back into his inventory.
"Go have fun," he told them. "I have some pests to take care of. I will join you guys soon."
The girls nodded excitedly, running off to explore the strange new world above the sky.
Before leaving, Yami summoned four Iron Golems, each standing over 9 feet tall with glowing red eyes.
"Your job is to watch over them," Yami ordered. "If a fight breaks out, don't interfere unless their lives are in danger."
The golems silently nodded, standing guard over the girls.
With that done, Yami expanded his Observation Haki, scanning the entirety of Sky Island in an instant. The enchantment bottles combined with his 'strongest haki talent' is really a cheat code.
'Found you, lightning idiot.'
He unfurled his massive black wings and shot into the sky, heading toward the four-way paths where Enel's priests were stationed.
From high above, Yami spotted the four priests, each stationed in their respective zones.
A dark smirk formed on his lips as he pulled out a unique bow from his inventory. Unlike a normal bow, this one had a square-shaped thermal scope attached to it.
'Time to test this out.'
Reaching into his inventory, he retrieved poison-coated arrows, and then infused them with Haki.
The thermal scope locked onto a target, placing a red crosshair over one of the priests.
Yami smirked. Auto-aim + Always hit Bow engaged.
Twang!
The arrow shot forward, weaving through trees and obstacles like a guided missile before piercing through the priest's chest.
He dropped dead instantly, not even realizing what had happened.
Yami chuckled, admiring his bow. "This thing is broken. Nojiko might have fun with this."
He quickly loaded more arrows, locking onto the remaining three priests.
Twang! Twang! Twang!
Each arrow found its mark. One after another, the priests fell dead without a fight.
Yami grinned. "And that's that."
Now, only one target remained.
Yami flew straight to Enel's palace, landing inside the grand throne room where the self-proclaimed "God" sat, eating an apple with a lazy smirk.
Enel's golden staff rested beside him as he looked down at Yami, completely unfazed.
"Another intruder?" Enel sighed, taking a bite from his apple. "I swear, you monkeys just keep coming."
Yami tilted his head, his crimson eyes gleaming. "I was actually wondering how someone with such an amazing fruit could be this damn useless."
Enel's eye twitched. "Hmph. Fool. Do you not understand whose presence you stan—"
CRACK!
Before he could even react, Yami vanished and reappeared in front of him, gripping his throat with armament haki.
Enel's pupils shrank in terror. "W-Wait—!"
SNAP!
Yami twisted his neck, and just like that—
Enel was dead.
No grand battle. No destruction. No dramatic struggle.
The self-proclaimed "God" died like a pathetic insect.
Yami sighed, staring at the lifeless body. "What a waste of potential."
Placing his hand over Enel's chest, he activated his Devil Fruit extraction ability.
A blue orb of crackling electricity emerged from the corpse, pulsing with raw power.
Yami took out a banana from the nearby fruit basket, watching as the Lightning Fruit transferred into it. The fruit now had swirls and lightning-like bulges covering its surface.
A smirk formed on Yami's lips. "And now… it belongs to my crew."
He stored the newly created Lightning Fruit into his inventory, his mind already racing with possibilities.
The Sky Island had fallen into his hand.
And this was only the beginning.
