OPM in Dragon Ball OG

Chapter 8: Chapter 8: The Mountain Bandits

The group resumed their journey, leaving the scorched lands of Fire Mountain behind. With five Dragon Balls in their possession, the excitement of nearing their goal kept everyone in high spirits—well, almost everyone.

Bulma, seated in the driver's seat, kept her eyes glued to the Dragon Radar. "The next Dragon Ball is further up north, near some cliffs," she announced. "If we keep moving, we should reach it by tomorrow morning."

"More cliffs, huh?" Saitama muttered from the backseat, arms folded. "Hope it's not another mountain on fire."

Goku, perched on the Flying Nimbus above the car, laughed. "I thought that was fun!"

Bulma sighed. "Fun? I almost died!"

Oolong, sitting nervously beside Bulma, grumbled, "You mean we almost died! This adventure's taking years off my life!"

Suddenly, Yamcha, who was jogging behind them at a safe distance, called out, "Hey, wait up!"

Bulma glanced in the rearview mirror. "Why is he still following us?"

Puar floated beside Yamcha, whispering, "Maybe because he's still scared of Saitama."

Saitama leaned out of the window, staring at Yamcha. "You need a ride or what?"

"N-No!" Yamcha stammered. "I'm good! Just… making sure you're not walking into trouble."

Bulma rolled her eyes. "Yeah, sure. Thanks for your concern, desert bandit."

Ambush on the Cliffs

As the sun set, the group reached a narrow path winding through a series of steep cliffs. The air felt tense, as if something—or someone—was watching them.

"I don't like this," Oolong whispered, his eyes darting around nervously.

"Relax," Saitama said. "If something happens, I'll handle it."

Bulma slowed the car. "The radar says the Dragon Ball is close, but it's moving."

"Moving?" Goku asked, his curiosity piqued. "Maybe someone else has it!"

Before anyone could respond, a loud shout echoed through the cliffs.

"Hand over all your valuables, or else!"

A group of scruffy bandits emerged from the shadows, blocking the path ahead and behind. They were armed with swords, clubs, and slingshots.

"Great," Bulma groaned. "Just what we needed—more trouble."

One of the bandits, a burly man with a scar across his face, stepped forward. "You're trespassing on our territory! Leave your loot, and we might let you live!"

Saitama stepped out of the car, his face blank. "Look, we're in a hurry. Can you guys move?"

The bandits laughed, not realizing who they were dealing with.

"Oh, look at the tough guy!" the scarred leader mocked. "Let's teach him a lesson!"

Saitama's Indifference

The bandits charged at Saitama, weapons raised. Goku hopped off the Nimbus, ready to fight, but Saitama held up a hand.

"I got this."

In a blur, Saitama effortlessly disarmed the first wave of attackers, sending them flying with light taps. The scarred leader swung a massive club at him, but it shattered upon impact with Saitama's head.

"What the…?!" the leader stammered, stumbling back.

"Are we done here?" Saitama asked, yawning.

Terrified, the remaining bandits dropped their weapons and fled, shouting, "He's a monster!"

Bulma leaned out of the car. "You could've left one standing for questioning!"

"No need," Saitama said, pointing toward a sack one of the fleeing bandits had dropped. "They left the Dragon Ball behind."

Bulma jumped out, picking up the sack. Inside was the six-star Dragon Ball.

"Six down, one to go!" she cheered.

A Warning from Yamcha

As they regrouped, Yamcha caught up, breathing heavily. "That was… impressive," he admitted, glancing nervously at Saitama.

"Just another day," Saitama replied nonchalantly.

Yamcha's expression turned serious. "But those bandits aren't the worst thing around here. There's a rumor about a powerful group up north—they're hunting Dragon Balls too."

Bulma frowned. "A group? Who are they?"

"Not sure," Yamcha said. "But I've heard they're dangerous."

"Good!" Goku said, punching his fists together. "I can't wait to fight them!"

Saitama sighed. "More people to punch. Great."

With the sixth Dragon Ball in hand and new challenges ahead, the group set off toward their final destination, unaware of the powerful foes waiting in their path.
