Percy Jackson: The Silver Wolf of the Goddess of Love

Chapter 17: To Start A Quest

The next morning arrived, as Hikari looked at Dionysus.

Hikari looked at him and spoke. "So you think I won't be able to complete my Quest on the same time as Percy".

Dionysus looked at him. "Hey I am just saying you maybe my favourite Hikari, but you and Peter (Percy) will never be done at the same time"

Hikari looked at him. "Bet, if it is done, I get to pick what the camp eats for the next 1 months"

Chiron cleared his throat as he looked at him. "So have you picked who will go with you on your quest"

Hikari looked at her. "Yami and.... Luke".

Chiron raised an eyebrow at Hikari's choice, clearly surprised. "Luke?" He repeated, a hint of skepticism in his voice. "Are you sure about that, Hikari?"

Hikari nodded, his expression firm. "Yeah, I'm sure. Yami's my best friend, and Luke's smart, strong, and knows his way around. He'll be useful."

Dionysus chuckled lightly, sipping from his ever-present cup of wine. "Well, well, choosing Luke, are we? Bold move, my favourite. But just remember, there's always more to a quest than meets the eye."

Hikari smirked. "I know what I'm doing."

Chiron sighed but didn't argue. "Very well. If that's your decision, we'll prepare for your departure. The quest of Hephaestus is not an easy one. Make sure you're fully prepared before you set out."

Hikari nodded again, determination burning in his emerald eyes. "I will. We'll get the Sun Sheep's fur, and I'll be back before Percy finishes his quest. Bet or not, I'm not about to fail."

As Hikari turned to leave, Dionysus called out, "And remember, Hikari, if you fail, you'll be eating nothing but tofu for a month!"

Hikari shot back with a grin, "Not a chance, Mr. D!"

With that, Hikari walked away, his mind already focusing on the quest ahead. Yami and Luke... an odd team, but one he believed could get the job done.

Hikari went to Aphrodite cabin, as he backed his bag, then he looked at the Miniatures horn, he didn't know why but he also took, next morning arrived as Percy and Hikari looked at Eachother.

Percy looked at Hikari. "Why did you get the easy one, but I got if I fale the world is doomed".

Hikari just looked at him. "Hey you Annabeth and Grover"

Percy rolled his eyes, a mix of exasperation and admiration crossing his face. "Yeah, but you've got the goddess of love watching your back. What do I have? A sea god and a prophecy about doom."

Hikari chuckled, slinging his backpack over his shoulder. "Hey, don't sell yourself short. You've got Annabeth and Grover. Plus, if anyone can handle a prophecy, it's you. Just remember to keep your head in the game."

Percy nodded, trying to muster some confidence. "I guess you're right. Just… don't take too long with your quest, alright? I might need a backup plan if things go sideways."

"Don't worry, I'll be back before you even realize I'm gone," Hikari replied, a confident smile on his face. He then turned to Yami, who was approaching with a determined look.

Yami grinned, adjusting the straps on his own backpack. "Ready to kick some ass and take some names?"

Hikari smirked. "Always. Are you set?"

"Yep! Got my gear, and I'm ready for anything," Yami replied, a glint of excitement in his eyes.

As the two friends shared a nod of camaraderie, Luke appeared from the shadows, leaning against a nearby tree. "You guys are really going to try to beat Percy at his own game? Bold strategy."

Hikari turned to Luke, a playful glint in his eye. "Hey, I'm just here to collect some fur and show off how much cooler I am. But I'm not backing down from a challenge."

Luke chuckled, pushing himself off the tree. "Then let's get going before Chiron changes his mind about sending us out."

Hikari, Yami, and Luke started walking towards the camp's entrance, the excitement and tension of their upcoming quest bubbling in the air. As they passed through the familiar camp grounds, Hikari couldn't shake the feeling that this adventure would change everything.

"You know," Hikari said, looking back at the camp, "I have a feeling this quest will be more than just about getting some fur. We're going to learn something big."

Yami nodded thoughtfully. "Yeah, and with Hephaestus involved, I wouldn't be surprised if things get a bit… explosive."

Luke smirked. "As long as we don't end up in a volcano or something. I'd prefer to keep my limbs intact, thank you very much."

With that, the trio exited Camp Half-Blood, stepping into the unknown with determination and excitement, ready to face whatever challenges awaited them on their quest.

Hikari unfolded the map, smoothing it out on a nearby rock as he pointed to a location marked with a small sun icon. "According to this, the Sun Sheep are located in the sunny hills of California, specifically in the Sierra Nevada region. They're known to graze in a valley called the Golden Vale."

Yami leaned over, squinting at the map. "Golden Vale? Sounds fitting for sun sheep. But I've heard there are some strange creatures lurking in those hills. We might not be alone out there."

Luke crossed his arms, a serious expression on his face. "Right. We'll have to keep our guard up. With the mention of Hephaestus, we could run into traps or even hostile creatures that he might have created."

Hikari nodded, recalling the stories he'd heard about the area. "Yeah, I read that there are a few mythological beings that like to hang out in that region. But if we keep our eyes open and work as a team, we can handle anything that comes our way."

"Do we know anything about these Sun Sheep?" Yami asked, curiosity piqued. "Are they dangerous, or just fluffy balls of fur?"

Hikari grinned, enjoying the moment of excitement. "From what I gathered, they're mostly harmless unless provoked. The real challenge will be getting their fur without scaring them off. Plus, I've heard that they can emit bright light—like sunlight—so we'll need to be prepared for some dazzling distractions."

Luke chuckled, shaking his head. "Great. Not only do we have to deal with potential monsters, but we also have to avoid getting blinded by some glorified sheep."

"Exactly," Hikari replied, rolling up the map. "But we're not going in blind. I'll use my tech to help us keep track of their movements and identify any potential threats."

Yami cracked his knuckles, excitement evident in his posture. "Alright then, let's gear up and hit the road! The sooner we get there, the sooner we can take on those sheep and get back before Percy realizes we're on a quest of our own."

"Let's move!" Hikari said, leading the way as they set off towards their destination, the thrill of adventure pushing them forward.

After that they got on the bus, they need to go to a few stop, but then Hikari told the bus driver to first stop them on the road to Boston, as they sat in the back of the bus.

Luke looked at Hikari. "Um I think you miss told, we are going through other way"

Hikari looked at him. "Tell did you learn about the story on how Hephaestus glued Hera to her chair".

Luke raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Yeah, I remember that one. He was trying to teach her a lesson, right? She didn't want to acknowledge him as her son, so he got a bit... creative."

Hikari looked at him. "And how he tited to Chair was his chains of Hephaestus, I got an information on where it can be it is the forge in Boston, and sense Hephaestus never checks up on them, why get the chain for our self"

Luke's eyes widened in realization as he processed Hikari's plan. "Wait, are you saying we're going to steal chains from Hephaestus's forge? That's risky, even for us."

Yami leaned forward, her interest piqued. "But if we can get our hands on those chains, we could use them to help with the quest. They might have some unique properties that could come in handy against whatever we encounter out there."

Hikari nodded, his mind racing with possibilities. "Exactly! The chains of Hephaestus are known to be incredibly strong and versatile. If we can snag a set, we'll have a powerful tool at our disposal. Plus, it'll be a good way to impress Dionysus and Chiron with our resourcefulness."

Luke rubbed his chin, considering the implications. "Alright, I'm in. But how do we get into the forge without getting caught? Hephaestus isn't exactly known for being welcoming, especially to intruders."

Hikari smiled confidently. "Leave that to me. I've been working on a few gadgets that can help us remain undetected. I'll use a cloaking device to mask our presence, at least until we get close enough to grab what we need."

Yami's eyes sparkled with excitement. "This could actually work! Just imagine, we'll be heroes for bringing back the chains. Plus, it'll give us an edge in the Capture the Flag game against Ares's kids."

Luke laughed, shaking his head in disbelief. "Alright then, let's do it! But we have to be smart about it. We can't just waltz in there and hope for the best."

As the bus continued its journey, Hikari pulled out his laptop and began researching the forge's location and security measures. He typed rapidly, searching for any clues or intel that could help them succeed. Meanwhile, Yami and Luke discussed potential strategies for getting in and out quickly.

After a while, Hikari looked up, a determined expression on his face. "Okay, I found some information. The forge is located in a secluded part of Boston, hidden behind a series of protective wards. We'll need to disable those wards before we can get in."

"How do we do that?" Luke asked.

Hikari smirked. "With a little tech magic. I've got a device that can disrupt magical wards temporarily. It won't last long, but it should be enough for us to slip inside."

"Nice work!" Yami exclaimed. "So what's the plan once we're inside?"

"We grab the chains, keep an eye out for any automated defenses, and get out as quickly as we can. And if we happen to run into any other interesting goodies while we're there, all the better," Hikari replied, grinning.

The bus rolled along the highway, excitement building among the three campers as they prepared for their unexpected detour into the heart of Hephaestus's forge. Each stop brought them closer to their goal, and the promise of adventure hung in the air like the smell of fresh rain on pavement.

In the next stop, as There people walked in as Luke looked at the answer notice.

Luke looked at him. "Cyclops's"

Yami looked at how, worried. "How did you find her"

Luke looked at Hikari. "I have questions Hikari how did you get the information"

Hikari looked at him. "From the files in my laptop, that I was given by child of Hermes"

Luke smacked his head. "Demi gods can't use Moden devices, or else monster can track our self".

Hikari just looked at him. "First of all how the fuck and second this never happens before"

Luke sighed, rubbing his temples in frustration. "It's basic demigod knowledge, Hikari. Monsters are drawn to technology, especially when we use it. The signals, the data—they somehow trace it back to us. It's like sending out a beacon saying, 'Hey, we're here!'"

Yami crossed her arms, her expression tense. "We've got Cyclops boarding the bus now, which means they've already found us. What's our move, Hikari?"

Hikari leaned back, considering their options. "Well, since this is my first time hearing about this 'monsters tracking tech' rule, it seems my laptop has a bit of a shield against it. But I'll deal with that later. Right now, let's focus on the Cyclops. We either fight, or we lose them before they realize who we are."

Luke glanced at the Cyclops entering the bus, trying to remain inconspicuous. "There are too many mortals here to risk a full-on fight. We'll need to lose them at the next stop, then take an alternate route to Boston."

Yami nodded. "But if they know we're here, more could be on the way. We need to stay ahead of them."

Hikari smirked, pulling out his watch and tapping a few buttons. "Relax, I've got a little trick up my sleeve." His watch projected a small holographic display. "This should cloak us for a bit, just enough to throw them off our scent. Let's get off at the next stop, and I'll make sure they can't follow."

As the bus slowed down for the next stop, the three demigods prepared to slip away unnoticed. Hikari activated the cloaking field, and as they stepped off the bus, the Cyclops seemed oblivious to their departure.

Luke let out a breath of relief as they walked away from the stop. "You know, for someone who didn't know the basics of demigod survival, you've got some pretty useful tricks."

Hikari grinned. "I aim to impress. Now, let's get to Boston before more monsters catch wind of us."

The demi god left, the bus, as the Cyclops's started to follow him as they went too an Allie.

One of the Cyclops looked around. "The silver boy, spells like the child of Aphrodite, easy picking, I will eat him they are my favourite"

The other Cyclops's then spoke. "I will take the blond, I have killed many children of Hermes and they states good as well"

The final then spoke. "The black one is new, he will ta-".

Before he can finished all 3 of them stepped on something, as metal string binded and trapped all 3 of them, and 3 ninja star hit each of these eyes blinding them for good.

The Cyclops screamed in pain as the ninja stars embedded themselves deep into their eyes, blinding them completely. They thrashed around, trying to break free from the metal strings that bound them, but the trap was expertly set. Each movement only tightened the strings, cutting deeper into their tough skin.

Hikari emerged from the shadows of the alley, his watch glinting as it deactivated its cloaking feature. "You know," he said, stepping closer to the struggling Cyclops, "I really don't appreciate being someone's meal plan."

Luke and Yami appeared behind him, weapons ready but clearly impressed with Hikari's quick work. Luke smirked, shaking his head. "You really don't waste time, do you?"

Hikari shrugged. "What can I say? I like efficiency."

Yami eyed the Cyclops, still struggling but clearly helpless. "Should we finish them off or leave them here?"

Hikari thought for a moment before tapping his watch again, causing small electric shocks to surge through the metal strings. The Cyclops convulsed before finally passing out. "No need to kill them," Hikari said casually. "They're not a threat anymore."

Luke raised an eyebrow. "You sure about that?"

Hikari gave a sly grin. "Trust me, they won't be going anywhere for a while. Let's move before more monsters show up."

With that, the three demigods quickly made their way out of the alley, leaving the trapped Cyclops behind. As they blended back into the city, Hikari couldn't help but feel a small surge of satisfaction. His gadgets were proving to be more useful than ever.

Now, they just had to get to Boston and find Hephaestus's forge before more enemies closed in.

From the shadow someone else came out, as then they cut the head of the Cyclops, as they killed each of them as the Cyclops's turned to golden dust, as the one too do it was a woman, she had black hair, black wings, fair skin and a black dress, her eyes then moved as she close one as she smiled as she was seeing Yami

The woman spoke. "My child and his friend are idiots"
