Pokemon: Ace's Adventures!

Chapter 55: Chapter 55:Target Amber!

Ace leapt off Fearow's back, landing on top of the airship with a solid thud. The cold metal beneath his feet vibrated slightly as the ship cruised through the sky. He barely had a moment to steady himself before Hunter J and Officer Jenny landed some distance away, their expressions tense with focus. Their Pokémon, now freed from carrying their trainers, let out fierce cries, ready to battle.

"Fearow, use Aerial Ace!" Ace commanded without hesitation.

"Skarmory, Steel Wing!" Jenny followed up instantly.

Fearow shot forward like a speeding bullet, its wings slicing through the air. Skarmory followed suit, its metallic wings gleaming dangerously. The two bird Pokémon converged on Salamence, who only snarled in response.

"Flamethrower," Hunter J ordered coldly.

Fearow struck first, its Aerial Ace landing cleanly against Salamence's tough hide, followed by Skarmory's Steel Wing. But the dragon barely flinched. Instead, it inhaled deeply before releasing a massive torrent of flames.

"Dodge!" Ace shouted, but it was too late.

The blazing fire engulfed both bird Pokémon, eliciting pained cries. Fearow managed to withstand the attack, but Skarmory, being weak to fire, screeched in agony before barely managing to stay airborne.

Ace gritted his teeth. 'Damn it, even a direct hit barely phased that Salamence… This is bad.'

Before he could think of his next move, a circular door on the ship's deck hissed open. A group of five grunts stepped out, their expressions smug and confident.

"We'll handle these pests, Boss J," one of them said, smirking.

Jenny stepped forward, her eyes fierce. "Ace, go ahead. I'll take care of them." Without waiting for a response, she grabbed three Pokéballs and threw them into the air.

"Houndoom, Granbull, Arcanine—battle positions!"

Ace didn't waste time. His attention snapped back to Hunter J as she released two more Pokémon—Ariados and Drapion.

"Tch," Ace clicked his tongue. "She's really going all out."

Without missing a beat, he pulled out his own Pokéballs. "Starmie, Nidoking—let's go!"

Hunter J's lips curled into a smirk. "Ariados, use Shadow Sneak. Drapion, Ice Fang."

Ariados vanished into the shadows, reappearing right beside Starmie. It struck with a swift, ghostly attack, making Starmie shudder slightly. But then, its body glowed.

'Weakness Policy activated!' Ace's mind raced. 'Perfect.'

"Starmie, Dazzling Gleam on Drapion! Nidoking, grab Ariados and use Fire Punch—don't let it escape!"

Ariados twitched as it tried to retreat into the shadows, but Nidoking was faster. It caught the spider Pokémon with one massive claw and began repeatedly slamming its flaming fist into its body.

One.

Two.

Three.

Four.

By the fifth Fire Punch, Ariados stopped struggling. Its body went limp as it fainted.

Meanwhile, Starmie's Dazzling Gleam struck Drapion head-on, sending it skidding backward.

Hunter J sneered. "Don't get cocky. Those were just my weaker Pokémon." She recalled Ariados without another glance.

Ace ignored her, focusing on finishing the battle. "Starmie, Meteor Beam! Nidoking, Horn Drill!"

Starmie began charging a glowing brownish-white energy in its core. Meanwhile, Drapion lunged with Night Slash to counter, but Nidoking intercepted. It grabbed Drapion's tail mid-strike, yanked it into the air, and slammed its spinning horn straight into Drapion's skull while the meteor beam hit it's back.

The one-hit KO move landed alongside another strong move like meteor beam.

Drapion collapsed, completely knocked out.

Hunter J clicked her tongue in frustration. Her eyes darted to Ace's Pokémon. 'That shiny Starmie… and that Nidoking… they're stronger than I expected.'

Then, greed flickered in her gaze. 'They'll fetch a high price…'

Ace, noticing her expression, tightened his grip on his Pokéball. He was about to give the command to capture Hunter J when—

ROOOAAAR!

A deafening cry came from above.

Salamence, wreathed in blue draconic energy, descended like a meteor, using Dragon Rush to slam both Fearow and Skarmory into the deck. The impact created a gaping hole in the ship's surface.

"Fearow! / Skarmory!" Ace and Jenny shouted in unison.

The dust settled, revealing both bird Pokémon lying unconscious.

"Return!" They both recalled their Pokémon as Salamence loomed behind Hunter J, snarling.

Ace clenched his fist. 'This battle isn't over yet.'

Nidoking let out a deep roar, glancing at Ace for confirmation. Ace nodded. "Starmie, stay alert. Nidoking, use Avalanche!"

Huge chunks of ice materialized in the air, crashing toward Salamence.

"Dragon Rush," Hunter J commanded.

Salamence surged forward, shattering the icy attack as it charged Nidoking.

Ace's eyes flashed. "Meet it head-on with Giga Impact!"

Nidoking roared and lunged forward. The collision created shockwaves, sending powerful gusts in every direction. One of the unfortunate grunts fighting Jenny was sent flying off the ship.

Both Pokémon recoiled from the impact, but neither backed down.

"Dragon Tail!" Hunter J called.

"Poison Tail!" Ace countered.

Their tails collided, the force rippling through the battlefield. Salamence grunted slightly, the toxic poison Fearow had inflicted earlier starting to take effect.

Ace's mind worked quickly. 'Now's my chance!'

"Nidoking, don't let go! Use Thrash!"

Nidoking's eyes glowed red as it grabbed Salamence's paw, hoisting the dragon over its head before repeatedly slamming it against the deck.

Hunter J scowled. "Dragon Rush, now!"

Salamence broke free, ramming Nidoking in the stomach.

Nidoking coughed out saliva but refused to release Salamence.

Ace's eyes flickered from blue to a rainbow hue. He pointed forward. "Earthquake—on Salamence's body!"

Hunter J's eyes widened. "What?!"

Nidoking's fists glowed blue as it slammed them into Salamence's stomach. Energy-like cracks formed in the air, the sheer force distorting space itself.

Ace's breath hitched. 'That… That looks like Whitebeard's power from One Piece…!'

Salamence spasmed before crashing into the deck.

"Finish it with Hyper Beam!" Ace commanded.

Hunter J gritted her teeth. "Hyper Beam, too!"

The two beams of destruction collided, erupting in an explosion that rocked the entire ship.

Down below, Ash and Gary—who had used an airpod to transport the captured Pokémon to safety—looked up as half of the ship was blown apart.

Ace cursed. 'Damn it! The ship's going down!'

The dust cleared, revealing Nidoking and Salamence, both injured but still moving. They separated, each retreating to their respective trainers.

Hunter J wasted no time. Salamence grabbed her and flew into the air.

Ace and Jenny recalled their Pokémon as Nidoking lifted them onto a floating rock using Confusion, landing safely on the ground as the ship exploded after hitting the ground, heavily injuring the 4 unfortunate grunts that were still on the ship.

Ace patted Nidoking's arm. "Good work, buddy."

Then, a new sound pierced the battlefield—BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Ace and the others looked up. In the sky, three energy blurs clashed. Smeargle, surrounded by rainbow energy, was fighting against Garchomp and Hydreigon, both covered in Dragon Rush energy.

Ace's gaze flicked toward Ash and Gary, who had successfully freed the captured Pokémon. Nearby, Serena, May, Dawn, Brock, and Misty had restrained the remaining grunts.

Then, a monstrous roar shook the battlefield.

A shadow shot out from the cave system.

It slammed into Hydreigon as Hydregion smashed into the ground, knocked out instantly.

Ace's eyes narrowed as the ancient Pokémon—Kabuto, Kabutops, Omanytes, and Omastar—trembled in fear as they hid behind Ace and his friends.

High above, a massive Aerodactyl hovered, its size was very big, nearly twice the size of a normal Aerodactyle brought into life from an Amber.

Hunter J's lips curled into a greedy smile.

"You're finally out of your hiding spot… Target Amber."
